I went to the bank for work. It took about 20 minutes on foot. I left around 11 o'clock to coincide with lunchtime. I finished my business around 12 o'clock. I was planning to go to a soba restaurant near the bank. However, there was already a line outside at 12 o'clock. I gave up and went to my second choice, a soba restaurant near the Sumitomo Mitsui Bank in Kitahama. It turns into an izakaya at night. I saw a sake bottle with a name on it. They had a special menu for lunchtime. I decided to go with the classic soba set meal. It had a large shrimp tempura which looked quite good. However, the soba broth here was more like udon broth. I prefer a stronger bonito flavor in my soba broth. With this broth, the soba's fragrance doesn't come out well. So, the soba also had a weak fragrance, like it had a lot of wheat flour. If they claim this is a high-quality soba, it's not worth the price. By the way, the customer sitting across from me was having a sushi set meal. For just a 100 yen difference, you can have sushi, which seems to be a better deal. There were about 5-6 pieces of sushi in the dish. Well, I probably won't visit this place again, so it doesn't really matter which one I choose.

I used it for a girls' gathering. The seating was spacious and semi-private. The food was delicious, and the all-you-can-drink option with Kirin Ichiban was a plus for me. This is a review of a restaurant located east of Kitahama Station for lunch. It is said that Rakutarou, which used to be located on Mikyuhashi-suji, has moved and changed its name. I used to visit Rakutarou often when my workplace was in Kitahama, so I feel nostalgic for the unchanged lunch menu from that time. I had the daily special set meal for 850 yen. The daily special on that day was moon-viewing mountain kakedon with soba or udon. I chose cold soba.

Located a little southeast from Kitahama Station in February 2022, I arrived after 1:30 PM when most lunch places were closing. The new restaurant I visited had a clean interior with only table seating available. I didn't use the counter seats. The restaurant's URL remained the same as Rakutarou. For lunch, they offered set meals or individual udon and soba dishes. Sushi set meals were already sold out. I had the daily special set meal for 850 yen, which included a delicious beef bowl with sweet broth, perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, good onions, green onions, and tasty pickled vegetables. I also tried the cold soba, which was refreshing with wasabi, green onions, and seaweed. Despite it being February, it was still enjoyable. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Sometimes I eat things other than ramen. Today's lunch special was the Tsukimiyama Kakedon with warm soba. The restaurant used to be an udon shop, but now it's an izakaya. It took about 2 minutes from ordering to getting the food, which was great for a quick lunch. The soba portion was quite small, but it came with a small tempura on top. The kakedon had grated yam underneath with a sweet sauce already on it, although I wished they had included wasabi. I finished my meal in less than 10 minutes. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I went to the office. As I was walking, I saw that an old coffee shop had changed a lot. I've been working from home for about a year now, so I didn't know the shop had changed. I decided to go in right away. It would be appreciated if there were hand towels available, even if they were just paper ones. "Thank you for the meal."

The dishes are carefully prepared and delicious, with a lively atmosphere in the restaurant.

At Kitahama, the izakaya "Warataro" has been quite crowded recently, but it was empty when I arrived early. The daily set meal for 900 yen (moon-viewing mountain kake-don with hot or cold udon or soba) had a generous amount of yamaimo (mountain yam) and was satisfying. However, due to the rising prices, from September onwards, the set meals will have an additional 50 yen. It seems like lunch will soon enter the era of using bills.
