I visited Hokkaido for the first time in 10 years and had my first meal at this restaurant. A pro golfer friend recommended it to me, saying it was run by a club classmate from our university days. Located in Nopporo on Route 12 heading towards Sapporo, the ramen shop is housed in a modern concrete building with about 5 parking spaces in front. The interior is spacious with 8 counter seats and 3 tables for 4, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The walls are covered with signatures of pro golfers, all looking simple and amateurish, reminiscent of cheering on club mates. The specialty of the restaurant is the miso ramen, made with an original blend of miso without any pushy explanations. When I tried to order a more expensive topping, the owner insisted I try the regular one first, showing confidence in their product without focusing on profit. The miso ramen served had a delicious aroma, tender chashu, and firm noodles, surpassing any miso ramen I had eaten recently. Even though it was past 2:00 PM, the restaurant was still bustling with customers. It is undoubtedly a popular spot. I will definitely visit again during my one-week stay in Hokkaido.

I tried the miso butter corn ramen at the Hokkaido Fair in Yokohama Sogo, but it was nothing special. It tasted like typical miso ramen, but the overall balance was off and I didn't enjoy it until the end. The toppings, especially the bean sprouts, were not good. The bean sprouts were simply sautéed with no seasoning, coated in oil, and didn't go well with the soup. The corn tasted like canned corn, watery, and not delicious. The char siu was tender, but when soaked in the soup, it became too soft for my liking. For this kind of ramen, there are many places where you can get it for under 1000 yen, even with buttered corn.

During a drive, I passed by a restaurant and decided to try it after checking the ratings on Tabelog. The result was fantastic - I found my favorite ramen, the hot lard shiro miso with tender chashu topping and stir-fried bean sprouts. It was the best ramen I've ever had.

I entered the shop around 11:15 and there were two people at the counter. The shop was clean and spacious with a few counter seats and table seats. I ordered the vegetable miso ramen with toppings of vegetables, egg, and seaweed, and half portion of noodles. The soft-boiled egg was perfectly cooked and delicious. The chashu was tender and melted in the mouth. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

First visit. Plenty of parking spaces in front of the store. Opens at 10:30. Closes at 15:00. Ordered the basic miso ramen for 950 yen. It comes with stir-fried ground meat, bean sprouts, and Chinese cabbage. Two large but thin slices of chashu that are tender. The bamboo shoots are thin and crunchy. The noodles are thin and slightly curly, which I like. The soup has a unique flavor but it's delicious. I couldn't help but drink the soup. It's on the richer side, so getting extra soup might be a good idea. I'm curious about the spicy miso, natto, and egg-topped noodles. *The miso flavor is not the same as now, but it reminds me of a place in Hakodate called O-san. O-san had a thicker consistency though. *(2023.08)

Today, I was craving for spicy ramen so I traveled all the way here. It's quite far from where I live in Ebetsu. I arrived around 1 pm on a holiday, and luckily there was still parking available so I could walk in without waiting. The place seemed quite popular as customers kept coming in consistently. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with extra green onions and ginger toppings, and I chose the highest level of spiciness. I also got the fried rice as a side. It took about 15 minutes for the food to be served. The ramen looked really red with a clear oil on top, and it was quite a generous portion with lots of vegetables and soup. It was hot, but delicious with a good balance of spiciness and a hint of acidity. I was so focused on eating that the bowl seemed never-ending. The restaurant was a bit warm inside, and I couldn't stop sweating. Overall, the spicy miso ramen was of high quality and I definitely want to come back when it's cooler. The fried rice was tasty too, but the ramen was so filling that I struggled to finish it. Next time, I think I'll just get it to go.

I went there for the first time. Plenty of parking. Stylish storefront. When I went in, there were only male customers. I wonder why there are so few female customers in ramen shops? Many reviews on Tabelog say it's "expensive". It's true, the salt ramen with few toppings for 900 yen is expensive. But the soup has a taste I like, and the tender chashu was really delicious. The menma was thin and my favorite type. The way the green onions were cut was also meticulous. If only it was in the 800 yen range...

When I visited during the opening, the flavors didn't come together well, but I think it was probably because they were still getting organized. I revisited and ordered the medium spicy miso ramen, and it was a delicious bowl with a nice balance of flavors. I recommend this ramen. I will definitely visit again!

"Sapporo Ramen Gen-ten" was a shop that caught my eye for a while. I happened to be in the Ebetsu area for some errands, so I decided to stop by for lunch! It was a little after 1:00 pm on a weekday, so the parking lot was easy to find. There were 3 groups of customers before me and no one after me, so it was quite empty. The shop had a modern style, very clean and spacious. Since I was alone, I sat at the counter seat, which was comfortable and not cramped at all. The menu mainly featured miso ramen with various options for customization. There were also soy sauce, salt, and curry ramen, but I decided to go for the classic miso ramen! The "Miso Ramen @ 950 yen" arrived in about 10 minutes. It came in a large bowl with plenty of soup, very voluminous. The soup was rich and flavorful, on the thicker side. The unique aroma of miso was new to me, but I enjoyed the sweetness of the vegetables in the taste. The noodles were medium-thin and curly, with a nice chewy texture. There were plenty of stir-fried vegetables, and the chashu was big and satisfying to eat. The soup remained hot until the end, and the abundant vegetables were crunchy and delicious. I almost finished all the soup, and it was a delicious meal! I haven't had this kind of miso flavor much before, but it was tasty. I'm not sure where the owner of the shop used to work, but I might like this place! They have a variety of miso options, so I would like to try something different next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!!

After visiting four times this year, I may be starting to lose sight of the boundary, but all the ingredients are fantastic. The black belt heat master burns the bean sprouts with intense passion once again. The option of butter and corn didn't appeal to me this time, but I have no regrets at all. It is excellent as always.

I went to the Summer Hokkaido Fair at Daimaru Kobe for the second week and decided to dine in. There was a line when I arrived, but it wasn't as long as the previous week. After waiting for about 20 minutes, it was my turn. The COVID-19 prevention measures were the same as the previous week. The menu included miso ramen, miso butter corn ramen, rich curry ramen (with rice), and a special set option of ramen with a side of wasabi pork bowl. I chose the miso ramen and waited for it to arrive. The noodles were yellowish medium-thick curly noodles, topped with chashu pork, bamboo shoots, minced meat, white negi, bean sprouts, and a sprinkle of shichimi pepper on the surface. The miso flavor was rich and delicious. I would love to visit the actual restaurant if I have the chance.

Lunch today: I had the miso butter corn ramen from Sapporo Ramen Haragoshi at the summer Hokkaido exhibition at Daimaru Kobe store. Under the chashu, there were bean sprouts and minced meat stir-fried. This added depth to the ramen's flavor. The chashu was also delicious. The miso ramen had a rich flavor and was very tasty. Thank you for the meal. #lunchwithgako #ramenlover #miso butter corn ramen #Sapporo Ramen Haragoshi #Daimaru Kobe store summer Hokkaido exhibition

After finishing work in a distant place, I returned home and decided to have dinner at a nearby restaurant that I had been curious about since it opened. A friend recommended it to me, saying "it's delicious," so I finally decided to check it out. It was my first time there, so I was unsure of what to order. I ended up choosing the miso vegetable ramen from the menu, which had various options. The dish was served to me within 7-8 minutes of ordering. It was filled with crunchy bean sprouts and other vegetables like Chinese cabbage. The noodles were slightly thin and not too curly, with a good texture. The miso soup had a simple miso flavor, without much sweetness. I usually prefer a bit of sweetness in my miso ramen, but this one was still tasty. They also had spicy miso ramen and curry ramen on the menu, so I decided that I would try the curry ramen next time I visit. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I visited Sapporo Ramen Genten every Friday for 3 weeks in a row. I tried the shio (salt), shoyu (soy sauce), and miso ramen, all with extra chashu (pork slices). The shio ramen and shoyu ramen were both excellent! The miso ramen was flavorful at first but became heavy as I ate it. The shio ramen had a nice balance of saltiness. The shoyu ramen had a subtle saltiness towards the end. The fresh garlic added in the middle of the meal was delicious! They also have other menu items like curry ramen and natto ramen, so I'll have to go back again!

This is a ramen shop located along Route 12 in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido. This was my second visit. Last time, I had miso ramen, so this time I ordered spicy miso. When the staff asked me if medium spicy was okay, I agreed. The medium spicy soup wasn't as spicy as I expected, and it actually had a bit of sweetness to it. Maybe it's because the base miso is different from red miso? The spiciness reminded me of kimchi flavors. It was tasty, but not exactly my preferred type of spicy miso. Next time, I'll try the soy sauce ramen that my friend enjoyed last time. Thank you for the meal! (^_^)

I visited a popular restaurant for lunch today. Despite avoiding the busy lunchtime, there was still a wait due to its popularity. I ordered the miso vegetable ramen, which was delicious. The bean sprouts in the ramen were crunchy and fragrant, and the abundance of vegetables added a nice texture. The noodles were well-coated in the soup, which had a rich flavor. However, the soup was a bit on the salty side, so it's best enjoyed in moderation. Thank you for the meal!

I used to always go for miso ramen when it came to ramen, but in the past five years, I've started trying other flavors more often. Last time I was here, I had the spicy miso, so this time I chose soy sauce and added some char siu as a topping. The soy sauce ramen was pretty good too. The restaurant is clean, the service is pleasant, and I feel like trying a different flavor next time. It's a ramen shop that makes me want to come back.

Upon returning from Nopporo to Sapporo, I stumbled upon this place. It was the perfect time as I was feeling quite hungry. There was parking available in front of the store, so I decided to stop by. The name of the restaurant is written as "原ゝ" but read as "Genten". The stylish building and interior create a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered the miso ramen and half-fried rice. The place has a nice ambiance to enjoy your meal. Now, I took a sip of the miso ramen soup. It was surprisingly sweet. The noodles were good, and the chashu was tender and delicious. I thought the portion was quite large, with not only bean sprouts, green onions, and bamboo shoots but also a lot of Chinese cabbage. The ramen was tasty, but the sweetness of the soup became a bit overwhelming as I continued eating. Even with adding extra spice, the sweetness still stood out. It may not be to my taste. As for the fried rice, it was also good but not something I would crave for.

I visited a ramen shop located along the line on January 12, 2023. I was intrigued by the impactful name of the shop. There is a spacious parking lot in front of the store, suitable for large vehicles. I rarely have miso ramen, but I was interested in their spicy miso ramen. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with the option of choosing the level of spiciness, and also a small serving of rice. The staff warned me that the "extremely spicy" option is very hot, which got me excited. The order was served in less than 10 minutes, and the soup was piping hot! The oily soup had a miso flavor with a hint of nuttiness, not too sweet, and the spiciness was exhilarating. I was very satisfied with the dish. The vegetables were well sautéed and flavorful. The noodles were delicious and remained hot until the last bite, exceeding my expectations in terms of taste. The rice was also fluffy and tasty.

2022♡♡97th Cup December 1st, a little after 10:30 AM I had been curious about the spicy miso ramen and half-fried rice here for a while. It's great that they open from 10:30 AM, but I always missed it on my way back from night shifts. I didn't want to wait to enter (laughs). On this day, it started snowing and I finished work a little late, so I arrived just after 10:30 AM. I was debating between Yamakoya and this place and ended up choosing this one (laughs). There was one car parked, and someone left right after I entered, so maybe it was not too busy before the opening time? The restaurant was clean and had plenty of waiting chairs. There was also a counter for solo diners, which was nice (*^^*). The kitchen was visible within a certain range and was very clean. They cook in a style where you can't see the food being prepared, so you don't have to worry about being watched while eating. Some people may not like that, but I'm okay with it! I ordered the spicy miso ramen and half-fried rice. The spicy miso had three levels of spiciness, and I chose the medium one, which turned out to be quite spicy. The fried rice arrived first. I was asked if it was okay to add pickled ginger, and of course, I said yes. It was generously topped with pickled ginger, which was much appreciated. Next came the ramen. The soup was delicious. It was so good (*´﹃`*), but also very hot. I almost choked a couple of times, but my chopsticks didn't stop (laughs). The tender chashu was also delicious, and the portion was generous, which was great. The fried rice was also tasty. It was great with the onions and green onions in it. The soup was so tasty that I thought about ordering extra rice. I also got a chashu bowl and curry for takeout. On my way back, a lovely lady asked if I had ordered takeout, and we chatted a bit. She was smiling, and it was really pleasant. The guy at the register and the person cooking were also smiling, and it's important to have good customer service. My son had the chashu bowl, and even though the curry was not very spicy, it was delicious. It was a hit for me in December, and I regret not going sooner. I hope to go back after my night shifts. Thank you for the meal! \(^o^)/

2022/10 ★Salt Ramen 800 yen (+100 yen for seasoned egg). Located along Route 12 near Sapporo in Ebetsu. Newly opened in March 2022 and already a popular spot with long lines. Plenty of parking in front of the store, with a second parking lot a bit further away. On a Saturday at 1:30 PM, there was still a long wait of about 25 minutes. You have to write your name and wait in the hallway to order. I ordered the salt ramen with an additional seasoned egg for a little luxury. It took another 25 minutes for the food to be served. The clear soup, although it looks like chicken, is actually a clear pork bone broth that is light and refreshing with a strong umami flavor. The saltiness was not overpowering, and the tender chashu and flavorful wheat gluten soaked in the soup were delicious. After finishing the meal, I realized it was already past 2:30 PM and there was still a long line. You really need to plan ahead for the wait time. Thank you for the meal!
