When you see delicious noodles, you just can't resist eating them!! So, I felt the urge and decided to visit Kotosoba Hakata for the first time! The interior of the restaurant has a nice soba izakaya atmosphere, and there is even a standing drinking corner which I definitely plan to visit next time! Looking at the menu, I wanted to try other dishes as well, but I decided to order the "Bukkake Neba-Toro Special (extra large)" ( ;´Д`). The daily speciality menu caught my attention as well, but then the soba arrived! The presentation was so refreshing! The salad seemed to have sunny lettuce and watercress. There were also wood ear mushrooms included. The natto portion seemed to be equivalent to about two packs. The egg yolk was big! Personally, I wish there were a bit more grated yam and chopped seaweed added. The soba noodles were barely visible among the toppings. Being 100% soba, the noodles had a light reddish-brown color. The soba broth in the small jug was ice-cold and the soy sauce aroma wasn't overpowering. It had a refreshing scent. Now, let's dig in! First, I slurped up the soba broth. It had a hint of sweetness and was more on the refreshing side. Despite the presence of grated yam, natto, wood ear mushrooms, and the thick texture, the flavors weren't too strong. The broth seemed to have a strong dashi flavor, possibly from bonito flakes or kelp. Next, I poured the broth over the noodles! The noodles had a good chewiness and elasticity. They were a bit sticky but not overpowering, creating a harmonious blend in the mouth. The broth wasn't too strong, which made the overall taste mellow. The presence of watercress and sunny lettuce added different textures, keeping the dish interesting. While I'm not certain, the soba noodles seemed to have varying thickness, creating a unique eating rhythm. I realized that I needed to eat the noodles separately! I ordered the extra-large portion, and despite that, the cold noodles were easy to eat quickly or slurp up! Even without wasabi, it tasted great. This summer has been unbearably hot, but this soba dish provided a refreshing and satisfying meal. It's still scorching hot, so if you're feeling low on appetite, I recommend heading to Kotosoba for the "Bukkake Neba-Toro Special" and replenishing your energy with a cool and delicious meal! The summer heat doesn't seem to be letting up, so before any strenuous work or important meetings, both men and women should eat a large portion, replenish their energy, and then tackle the tasks at hand! Stay cool and enjoy a delicious meal at Kotosoba!

I visited during lunchtime and was the first customer. Despite there being only two of us, they didn't even offer water. I ordered the lunch special of thick fried tofu and a half portion of soba noodles, limited to 30 servings. Unfortunately, the soba noodles were clumped together and stuck to each other, making it difficult to eat. It was a disappointing experience, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy. The highly rated soba noodles didn't live up to expectations. I should have just ordered the lunch drink set and I regret not doing so.

The restaurant seemed to have few seats from the outside, but it actually had a second floor and a chic atmosphere, making it easy for even solo female diners to visit. The tempura and other dishes were good, with unique menu items, but the main attraction, the 100% buckwheat soba, was a bit disappointing.

I had the forest soba and tempura set (1100 yen). The set was quite a good deal, the soba was delicious, and the tempura was also tasty. The atmosphere was nice too. Overall, I think it's quite reasonably priced! It was delicious, thank you for the meal!

On October 1st, in celebration of Sake Day, the event "Go Around" returned after 3 years! By visiting participating restaurants, ordering an appetizer and enjoying a glass of sake, you could join the event. The regular menu (not part of the event) was also available, so no need to check separately for it. The restaurant is a place where you can enjoy soba noodles and sake, located in Tenjin, with a second branch in Hakata. You can enjoy lunch as well, making it convenient for different occasions. I visited the Hakata branch for the first time. I met up with a friend there, but as we were both a bit late, I had a Peroni Nastro Azzurro from Italy (500 yen) while waiting at the standing bar on the 1st floor. When more Go Around participants arrived, we moved to the 2nd floor. We ordered the event menu, which included a set of soba appetizers (1000 yen) with roast beef, small dishes, mini ikura (salmon roe) on top of grated yam soba noodles. They served Wakabayashi sake at this restaurant. Sake and soba noodles really go well together. As expected from a soba restaurant, the soba noodles were delicious.

This is the second soba restaurant I've been to today, but I'm going to eat soba again. It's fine, right! You wouldn't imagine from the atmosphere and the staff that they serve such delicious soba. The aroma is wonderful and the broth is delicious. I've found a great restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

I had heard about the opening of the second branch of Kochisoba in front of Hakata Station, but I hadn't had the chance to visit until now. I just wanted to have a quick meal of soba, so I stopped by. The first floor was full of customers enjoying drinks at the counter. When I mentioned that I just wanted to eat soba, I was guided to the second floor where it was more relaxed. Looking at the menu, I noticed that the prices were higher compared to the Tenjin branch. I ordered the Seasonal Vegetable Soba Bowl in a large size for 1280 yen. I was expecting crunchy vegetables like broccoli or okra as shown in the menu photo, but I was disappointed to find only leafy greens and cherry tomatoes, lacking seasonal variety. The soba and original dressing were delicious, but I felt that the dish was too lacking in vegetables.

At Hakata Station, the best place for a casual drink. "Kochisoba" After finishing work near Hakata Station, I was wandering around looking for a place to have a casual drink and stumbled upon "Kochisoba"! I knew they had a branch in Imaizumi, but didn't realize they had one near Hakata Station. I ordered an original beer in a jug and a platter of 3 assorted appetizers for 890 yen - it included simmered chicken, spicy salad, and fuki vegetable. The simmered chicken had plenty of meat and just the right amount of seasoning - it was delicious. Kochisoba never disappoints! Of course, I had to have some sake too. I chose a junmai ginjo from Hyakunen Kura, which cost 830 yen for a small bottle. It was smooth and didn't overpower the food - just perfect. This place never fails to impress. ●Restaurant Information Kochisoba 050-5872-9368 3-19-22 Hakata Ekimae, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka

The day after returning to Oita, I went to a soba restaurant for a drinking party with a group of housewife friends. We always struggle to coordinate our schedules, but this time we managed to make a last-minute reservation for a lunchtime drinking party at 3 pm. It had been about a year since our last get-together. The appeal of this place is the "senbero" set, where you can have 3 drinks and 3 appetizers. We ordered various dishes such as Nara pickled cream cheese, crispy fried burdock, stuffed green peppers, grilled yam, rolled omelette, seasonal fish nanban-zuke, assorted pickles, thick fried tofu, soba noodles, and more. We also enjoyed some sake later on. The food was all delicious and we had a great time chatting until we had to leave at 5:30 pm for a rakugo performance. It was a fun and satisfying meal.

Fukuoka vibes are hereeeeeee (°▽°)!!!! Got all pumped up and went with the flow. LOL had lunch at Kochisoba Hakata store. Since it was almost the end of the lunch break for the office warriors, we were able to get our food without waiting. We sat at the counter seats with an open kitchen - everything was in plain sight!!! The staff were all women. ■ Mori Soba ¥580 Made with 100% soba flour from Towada, Akita and Aomori prefectures. It doesn't have a strong traditional soba flavor, it's smooth and not too overpowering. They also have a variety of izakaya menu items, including a Senbero special only at the Hakata store. This place seems more suited for those who want to snack while drinking rather than those looking for a full-on soba experience. Thanks for the meal ♡

I visited in late September for the first time! I arrived after 2 pm, so the lunch rush was over. The restaurant is located near Hakata Station, about a 10-minute walk from the station. I had a meeting near Hakata Station that day, so I visited after the meeting. I heard that there is a first branch in Tenjin. The exterior gives off a stylish cafe vibe, not like a typical soba restaurant, making it easy for women to enter. Inside, a friendly female staff member guided me to the counter since I was alone. The restaurant seems to have two floors, with the second floor possibly for groups. I ordered the Neba-Toro Special because I like slimy textures like tororo and natto. The soba had a firm texture and a delicious aroma. The sauce on the soba was sweet, with flavors that reminded me of Kyushu. The staff was friendly, making it easy for casual visits like lunch. I'm curious about dinner, so I'd like to visit at night next time. Thank you for the meal! I will visit again.

I came here thinking there was a "senbero" deal, but it turns out it's only available from 2pm onwards. Anyway, I wanted to try a few things. I had the "genno atsuage" tofu, grilled eggplant, and a mixed plate of three different appetizers. Finally, I ordered the zaru soba and una-don set. The atsuage tofu was delicious! I don't often go to Mihara Tofu Shop, so I was happy to be able to eat it here. The grilled eggplant was also a nice treat since I don't usually have it at home. The soba was made with 100% buckwheat flour but was still smooth and tasty.

Gochisoba, a stylish soba restaurant in Imaizumi, has a second branch. Located about a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station's Hakata exit towards Canal City, on a back street in a business district. There are several dining options nearby, such as ramen shops and Chinese restaurants. The chic appearance of Gochisoba stands out in the area. The lunch menu seems to target businessmen with soba and rice bowl sets. Upon entering the restaurant, the first floor was full, so I was seated on the second floor. The second floor was also quite full. Although the Day of the Ox had passed, I ordered the eel bowl set for 880 yen. I was informed that it would take a little while, so I waited patiently for about 20 minutes. Finally, the eel bowl set arrived. It was almost time for my lunch break to end, so I quickly dug in! I'm not confident in providing a taste review. The main soba had a strong aroma and a good texture, satisfying enough. The eel bowl was on the smaller side, with two pieces of eel neatly placed on the shredded omelet, providing just the right amount of side dish. While the soba alone may seem a bit pricey, it's a reasonably good deal when eaten as a set. Finally, I had some soba broth and finished my lunch just in time. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the Hakata store for the first time, even though I had just been to the Tenjin store two weeks ago. The soba here is so good that it feels like it's made with 20% buckwheat instead of 100%. I instantly became a fan. I had the soba noodles with dipping sauce at the Tenjin store, and this time at the Hakata store, I had the soba noodles in broth. Next time, I want to try the warm soba noodles. (^○^)/

I visited the newly opened "Kochisoba Hakata Store" one weekday before noon. The atmosphere still feels like it's just opened. The interior also has a woody scent. I was seated at the counter and ordered the weekly lunch set for 880 yen (tax included), which is limited to 30 servings. This week's special set includes soba noodles, a mini fried horse mackerel, and pickled mustard greens rice. After waiting for 7-8 minutes, the lunch set arrived. There were sparkling soba noodles in the front, and in the back, there was white rice, a small fried horse mackerel, and pickles. I started with the soba noodles, which were cooked al dente and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the soba dipping sauce. The fried horse mackerel with tartar sauce on top was also excellent. I initially thought it was white rice, but it turned out to be pickled mustard greens rice. There were chopped mustard greens on the pickled plate, and I mixed them into the rice to make mustard greens rice. The mustard greens were not too spicy and tasted delicious.

I found out about this restaurant opening on Instagram and decided to visit right away. The place had a fresh feel with flowers outside. [Items Ordered] - Crispy soba noodles ¥150: These were so crispy and satisfying to eat. - Crispy fried burdock ¥620: The presentation was amazing!! The burdock was first simmered in dashi to soften it before being fried. The outside was crispy and had a nice seaweed flavor. It came with mayonnaise for extra flavor. - Half size fried horse mackerel with tartar sauce and vegetables: The half size was just right in terms of portion. - Thick rolled omelette with grated radish and soy sauce ¥730: A fluffy and thick rolled omelette that isn't too sweet. It is enjoyed with grated radish and soy sauce. - Sashimi set of 3 types ¥800: This day's selection included squid, horse mackerel, and sea bream. - Mixed soba noodles ¥580 - Hakata Hyakunen Kura - Citrus Samurai (sake + yuzu-kosho + soda) ¥700 This soba restaurant near Hakata Station is very welcoming. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the delicious meal. ❤️

Newly opened #Kochisoba Hakata store {Hakata Station, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City} I visited Kochisoba Hakata store on April 11, 2021 (Sunday). The store in Imaizumi opened its second store on April 4. The location is about halfway between Hakata Station and Canal, with Kōchan Ramen right in front. As soon as you enter the store, there is a standing bar corner, and it seems like a store that focuses on izakaya. So, first, let's check out the alcohol menu! It's nice to have a drink after work. Here is the menu for cold soba. The basic Mori Soba is priced at ¥580. There are also set menus with rice bowls and tempura. Here is the menu for hot soba. The large serving of soba (1.5 times) is an additional ¥250. I ordered the weekly lunch set limited to 30 servings for ¥880 (tax included). Here is the weekly lunch set for ¥880 (tax included) that arrived. The soba looks glossy and delicious. The mini beef bowl is filled with plenty of meat. It's delicious with pickled ginger. Now, let's enjoy the main Mori Soba. The aroma and texture of the soba are good. The soba, soaked in delicious broth, slides smoothly down the throat. Oh, it's delicious. Finally, a hot sip of soba broth. As it gets hotter, cold noodles will be even more delicious. 3-19-22 Hakata-ku, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City Closed on Tuesdays

Located in Hakata Ekimae 3-chome, the "Kochisoba Hakata Store" opened on April 4th (Sunday) next to Garb Reeves. The photo features the owner, Ms. Kayo. She also appears on the radio as a teacher. The restaurant has seating on the first floor with a counter and standing seats, as well as second-floor seating with table seats and window-side sunken kotatsu seats. This time, they collaborated with the sake brewery "Hakata Hyakunen Kura"! The menu is extensive and it's great to have so many choices. I was torn but ended up ordering the "Niku Gobo Tempura Soba" with a topping of raw egg. It was delicious as always! The 100% soba noodles had a smooth texture. I love the meat soba at Kochisoba. The soup is also tasty. Next time, I want to try the Hakata store's specialty "Waritsuke Soba" to enjoy different flavors! I also need to visit for drinks in the evening. This is my second visit. I like the atmosphere and menu where you can drink and eat from lunchtime. It was hot, so I chose the Bukkake Tororo Soba. The recommended thick omelette is soft and delicious. Next time, I want to go in the evening for a relaxing time.

I was drawn in by the Jusen soba and passed through the Noren to see for the first time the pickled gourd and sake. We toasted with bukkake neba-toro special soba, tea-flavored pudding, and sake. The slight intoxication made for a pleasant feeling as we said thank you for the feast in Hakata town.
