As someone from Fukuoka, the birthplace of udon, which has far more udon shops than Kagawa Prefecture, known as the "udon prefecture," the first thing I look for in udon is the deliciousness of the broth. This applies to soba as well, as the broth is what brings the noodles to life. Ramen also requires the perfect harmony of broth and noodles to be truly delicious. Personally, I love the curry udon at this place, as the broth is unlike anything you can find elsewhere. Unlike the broth at places like "Fujinoie" in Yoichi, this curry udon has a separate type of broth. Essentially, it involves pouring curry roux over regular broth, and as you eat, the spicy curry roux mixes with the broth to create a perfectly balanced, adult-level spiciness in the curry udon broth. The spiciness is just right, and you don't even need to add any extra chili pepper. Once you've finished the noodles, you might feel tempted to dump rice into the remaining broth, but I resist the urge. However, I doubt that the "all food must go" person can resist (laughs). While I usually don't drink up the broth after finishing noodles, I can't leave a drop of this curry udon broth behind. The deliciousness of this broth surpasses that of mediocre soup curry or curry ramen. The curry udon here is something I crave every two months. I will continue to eat only this (laughs).

This was my first visit! Since the popular pork bowl restaurant Kukai was closed, I decided to try another place that caught my eye. This historical soba restaurant in an old building offers a surprising menu item - "Katsu Curry Soba"! I ordered the Katsu Curry Soba (950 yen) and my mother had the Ebi Tempura Soba (1000 yen). Although I love Katsu Don, I wanted to experience the Katsu Curry Soba. The curry sauce is poured over the soba noodles. The Katsu was also large, and the Ebi Tempura my mother ordered was huge. The prices were reasonable considering the portion sizes. The curry sauce was quite spicy for me, but the soba noodles were just right - not too thick or thin, with a good texture. I was a bit nervous about how the Katsu would taste with soba, but surprisingly, they complemented each other well. It was a bit hot inside due to the curry's spiciness, and I ended up drinking a lot of water. I couldn't help but worry about the couple working hard in the hot kitchen frying food. It was a very summery experience, and the food was delicious!

A little while ago, after work in Ebetsu, I searched on Tabelog for a place to have lunch. The first place was really crowded, so I went to the next option, this restaurant. Their specialty is Katsu Curry Soba, so I ordered that. I watched the process of making it at the counter. The visual of pouring sauce over the soba, topping it with katsu, and then adding curry was just as amazing as rumored. The katsu was crispy and freshly fried, and eating it with the thick curry was very delicious. The slightly thick soba was also delicious, and the curry gradually blending into the broth was tasty as well. I finished every last drop of the broth, it was too good to waste. I really enjoyed the meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

I used to go on a curry soba tour. Among them, there was a katsu curry soba. Last week, as it was starting to get hot, I wrote that curry season was coming to an end. However, I came across a bowl that completely changed my mind... It was shocking... Anago Katsu Curry Soba - 1200 yen The naming alone seemed sketchy... It was served in a bowl. The tempura was not served on a separate plate or cut into small pieces, but placed on top of the bowl in a large piece... The impact was beyond words... lol But what's even more impressive is the taste. As I was about to pick up my chopsticks, I was distracted by the anago and forgot about the katsu... lol So, I started with the katsu. The katsu was thick, tender, and delicious! Next was the broth... Another shock!!! I may be mistaken, but this is how I felt, so I'll write it. It seemed like this curry soba was made with soba noodles at the bottom, topped with katsu, and then topped with curry. What do you think? Anyway, the curry was delicious! I'm sure the curry rice must be amazing too! As I mentioned earlier, the rich curry mixed with the flavorful broth was a dramatic combination. The soba noodles that soaked up the curry, the delicious katsu, the flavorful broth... everything was delicious! And let's not forget the anago tempura for a palate cleanser. It was fluffy, the batter was crispy, and even on its own, it was delicious! I kept devouring the large piece of anago without hesitation. Of course, I finished every last drop of the broth. I thought I'd be satisfied for a while after eating, but while writing this review, I find myself craving it again... lol It's just a short walk from Shimamatsu Station. It's a smoking establishment, so it's R20, but why not pay a visit? There, you'll find the Anago Katsu Curry Soba, full of surprising elements, waiting for you.

This is a shop where you can easily eat a lot of soba noodles. The Anago Tempura Soba costs 900 yen and comes with a very large piece of anago tempura. It's so big that you might wonder how to eat it! The shop allows smoking inside, as there were ashtrays available. There were no smokers this time, but it might be a bit tough if there were. Considering the current situation, I think the price is cheap, so maybe the owner should try raising it a bit?

This is Shimamatsu in Eniwa City... It's just before 11 o'clock, but I decided to have an early lunch and searched for a restaurant on my smartphone using Tabelog. I chose "Soba Goro" from a few hits, with a blue and white signboard that looked interesting. As I entered, I was greeted with a loud "welcome" by what seemed to be a middle-aged couple. The interior of the restaurant had a counter with 7-8 seats and 4-5 tables. I looked at the menu and found that curry and fried dishes were popular at this soba restaurant. I ordered the "Katsu Curry Soba @950" and it was served in just 8 minutes. The dish had soba noodles in broth topped with a crispy katsu and curry sauce, sprinkled with chopped green onions. The broth was not too sweet, and the combination with the curry was good. The katsu was crispy on the outside and tender inside, providing a satisfying crunch. Overall, I felt that the quality of the dish was worth the price. It's a matter of personal preference, but I think I prefer my katsu, curry, and soba separate. I would like to try the Anago Katsu Curry Soba next time. Thank you for the meal.

Today was my first visit. I originally went to a different soba noodle shop, but they were sold out, so I ended up coming here. I sat at the counter where I could see the well-aged kitchen. The menu had pictures which made it easy to choose. After some hesitation, I decided to order the tempura soba. The tempura included shrimp heads, squid, shungiku (chrysanthemum greens), eggplant, and green peppers, served on a plate with the soba noodles. They also provided a separate dish for the tempura, which was a nice touch. It would have been nice to have some salt, but it wasn't on the table, so I dipped the tempura in the soba broth. The shrimp head was especially delicious and fragrant. The soba noodles were thick and didn't have a strong aroma, but they were sweet and satisfying to eat. I prefer a sharper dipping sauce, so my satisfaction level was... However, overall, I thought it was a good value for a local soba shop, so I would consider it a good place for regular visits. Thank you for the meal.

For lunch, I had shrimp tempura soba at "Kisoba Gorou" in Shimamatsu, Eniwa City. The tempura shrimp on top was crispy and delicious. I recently tried the eel cutlet curry soba, and while the soba itself was just okay, today's soba was really delicious!

I became a fan after visiting last time and trying their delicious broth (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))♡ The soba has a nice firm texture and the broth has a strong presence without overpowering the soba's aroma‼︎(*'▽'*) It's the best♪───O(≧∇≦)O────♪ [Tabelog] Kisoba Goro https://tabelog.com/hokkaido/A0107/A010703/1021495/#Eniwa City Shimamatsu Nakamachi #Kisoba Goro #Tempura soba

It seems like a popular soba restaurant that serves curry soba. They even have a curry soba dish that comes with tonkatsu and anago tempura! You just have to order that! The visual presentation is impressive, with the anago overflowing from the bowl and a large tonkatsu. The spicy curry broth is delicious, and the tonkatsu complements it well. I was unsure about the tempura with curry, but the combination of the mild anago and curry was surprisingly good. The soba itself doesn't have any standout features. After finishing everything, there was still a lot of curry broth left, so I added a small portion of rice and finished it all. There are days when you just crave curry soba, and today was one of those days.

Long ago, I visited this place and had "mori" (a type of dish). Following the saying "When in Rome, do as the Romans do," I decided to try the curry soba here. I customized my order with dynamic tempura as well. Here's what I ordered: - Curry Soba: 750 yen - Anago Tempura (Conger Eel): 400 yen - Ebi Tempura (Shrimp): 200 yen - Shungiku Tempura (Edible Chrysanthemum): 80 yen First, the curry soba was quite impressive. The light and spicy soup had a good balance of curry and soba flavors, without being overpowering. The soba noodles held their own in the flavorful broth. As for the tempura, it was dynamic. I enjoyed half of it with salt and the other half dipped into the soba soup. The portion was generous, and the tempura was simple yet crispy enough. If you love curry soba and hearty tempura, this place might be for you.

I heard that my junior colleague from the quality control department, who I always rely on at work, will be leaving at the end of June. We had talked about wanting to try the Katsu Curry Soba before, so we went to Kisoba Goro. The Katsu was big and my colleague was very happy eating it. The Katsu Curry Soba here is always delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I found information on Tabelog about Anago Tempura Soba, so I decided to go try it. Looking at the menu, everything is very affordable. True to its reputation, Shimamatsu offers great prices. When the Anago Tempura Soba arrived, I was surprised by its huge size! The Anago was also quite large, with a substantial amount of batter surrounding it. I ate it while soaking it in the broth. The visual impact is impressive, but it would have been easier to eat if it had been cut into smaller pieces before being fried. Nevertheless, the amount for 900 yen is great value. Truly Shimamatsu. The soba itself is traditional. Next time, I want to try the famous curry soba.

This time, I visited a restaurant near Shimamatsu Station on the JR Chitose Line in Shimamatsu Nakamachi 2-chome in Eniwa City. The menu that caught my attention was the "Anago Tempura" which had made a comeback, so I decided to check it out. I arrived at the restaurant, checked the menu outside, and then sat at a semi-private table for two. I ordered the "Anago Tempura Soba" and waited for it to be served. It arrived in about 6-7 minutes, and to my surprise, there was one and a half pieces of Anago Tempura overflowing from the bowl. First, I tried the soba soup, which had a subtle fish broth flavor with a hint of soy sauce, a taste that I quite liked. The soba noodles were pre-made but had a good texture and were easy to eat. Moving on to the main dish, the Anago Tempura, one and a half pieces were served, with one piece standing tall outside the bowl. I first tried the part that was not soaked in the soup, the crispy batter with the tender Anago inside was delicious and hot. Then I tried the part soaked in the soup, where the batter had softened and absorbed the flavor of the soba soup, enhancing the taste. The tempura of spring onion served as a palate cleanser was also enjoyable, and there were chopped green onions on top of the soba from the start. This was my first time trying Anago Tempura, and I was impressed by the skillful frying of the tempura. Next time, I would like to try the "Tenzaru" which has more tempura. One thing to note is that the restaurant still allows smoking, so I hope they can consider making it non-smoking at least during lunchtime.

Visited "Kisoba Goro" in early October 2021, where I had been curious about their curry soba. There is no parking lot, but there is a parking nearby for 100 yen per hour, and it seems okay to park in front of the store. When I arrived, there were no other customers, and I ordered the curry soba with eel cutlet after seeing a sign announcing its return. The eel cutlet and tonkatsu were fried by the owner, and the soba was topped with them, then curry sauce was poured over it, sprinkled with green onions, and finally, a piece of eel cutlet over 25cm long was placed on top. The crispy eel cutlet was delicious on its own or dipped in curry, and it had a satisfying texture. The soba had a light countryside flavor, which paired well with the warm soba. The curry sauce on the surface gave more of a Western diner vibe rather than a traditional soba shop, but it blended well with the soba broth, creating a fusion of Japanese and Western flavors (with a stronger Japanese influence). The tonkatsu was lean with almost no fat, which left me wanting more, but the eel cutlet made up for it. Recently, it seems that most tonkatsu dishes I've tried have been lean, which makes me wonder if this is just a coincidence or a new trend. As a fat lover, I'll need to confirm the fat content before ordering tonkatsu dishes in the future!

"Tamago toji soba for 650 yen. The gentle taste with a fluffy egg seems perfect for a drink. I want to go back again, but since I'll be driving, I probably won't be able to drink. Next time, I'll try the famous katsu curry soba. I forgot to take a picture of the soba."

I wanted to eat Katsu Curry Soba again, so I ordered Katsu Curry Soba for 900 yen and added a side of rice for 150 yen. To make it more interesting than last time, I also added Spring Onion Tempura for 80 yen and Shiitake Mushroom Tempura for 80 yen. The tempura came separately, but surprisingly, they had a crispy thin coating. At this price, the tempura is a good deal. I don't need elegance or trendy toppings for my curry soba. Curry soba is a nostalgic dish for me, and as long as it has a thick curry sauce poured over it, I'm satisfied. Other than feeling a bit thirsty afterwards, I left the restaurant feeling satisfied.

I was looking for a delicious soba restaurant and decided to visit "Nagareboshi" based on their reviews. When I arrived, there were already 3 cars parked in front of the restaurant even though it had just opened. I quickly ordered the recommended dishes - "Katsu Curry Soba" and "Ebi Tempura Soba" with a side of rice. While waiting, I could hear the sizzling sound of frying, which made me excited. When the soba arrived, I enjoyed the flavor and texture of the noodles and the broth. The curry was spicy, the katsu was just right, and the tempura was crispy. Another great recommendation from "Nagareboshi"! Thank you for the helpful review. - Katsu Curry Soba: ¥900 - Ebi Tempura Soba: ¥1,000 - Rice: ¥200

Visit date: Around 11:40 AM on September 12, 2020. After returning from fishing and relaxing at home, the topic of having lunch with the family came up. "Where should we go for lunch?" asked my mother. I said, "I want to go to Café de Vale!" and showed my mother the menu and reviews, but she thought it might not be the right atmosphere for a family outing. So, we decided on a different restaurant, "Kisoba Goro," that I suggested. The restaurant is known for its popular dish, Katsu Curry Soba, which my father was interested in trying. We got ready to go out and headed to the restaurant. We parked the car nearby since there was no parking lot. A staff member seated us at a table in the cozy, Japanese-style restaurant. The restaurant allowed smoking, which may be a plus for smokers (I am a non-smoker, so it didn't matter to me). I ordered the daily special, Anago Tempura and Katsu Curry Soba (¥1180). My father ordered the Special (¥750), and my mother ordered the Katsu Curry Soba (large portion for ¥900). We also ordered 6 pieces of Tori Karaage (¥500) to share. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes. The Anago Tempura was impressive and added a touch of extravagance to the meal. The tempura was crispy and delicious, and the curry and soba matched perfectly. The noodles were slightly thick. The Special my father ordered came with grated daikon radish, natto, and crispy fried onions. It was slightly more expensive than the "Inaka Soba," which had additional ingredients like vegetables. Overall, the Katsu Curry Soba and tempura were delicious, but the Tori Karaage was disappointing as it lacked the expected crispiness. It tasted more like frozen food. However, the Katsu Curry Soba lived up to its reputation, and I left satisfied. I look forward to trying their rice bowl dishes next time. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing the climb of Mt. Yubari, I moved to Ebetsu to bathe and then headed to "Kisoba Goro" as planned for the next day's climb of Mt. Tarumae. I arrived at the restaurant after 5 pm, and it was empty, maybe due to the new coronavirus. I ordered the recommended dish, Katsu Curry Soba (large size), which had been featured on TV. The curry was spicy and the soba noodles were delicious. The curry and broth matched perfectly, and the thick cutlet was tasty. Overall, it was a great meal and I left feeling satisfied. Thank you!

On the way back from the northern village, visited at 12:30. There were 2 customers before me and 4 customers after me, so I sat at the end of the counter 2 meters away from the previous customers. The background music was from HBC TV. I knew that their famous dish was pork cutlet curry, but I ordered the special (grated daikon, natto, fried egg). I poured the dipping sauce over it and tried it... The fried egg was delicious! The soba noodles were generous, and for 750 yen, it was a satisfying meal! I will definitely come back to try their tempura! Special for 750 yen, thank you for the meal! (^^)v
