Hello. This is Keinsuke. Today, I will introduce "Odoridako" located in the underground food court of Shinsaibashi Parco.
Atmosphere:
Located in the neon-lit underground area of Shinsaibashi Parco, amidst a plethora of bars, there is only one takoyaki shop here. I first encountered this takoyaki shop during a drive in northern Hyogo Prefecture, at the Nishi-Kin Service Area, and was impressed by the delicious takoyaki with a whole octopus. Since then, I have come across it in Dotonbori during a takoyaki food tour, and now I found it in Parco's underground area. The number of stores seems to be increasing rapidly, and it's amazing to see a takoyaki shop doing so well.
Food:
- Odoridako Takoyaki (6 pieces for 600 yen)
While the price may seem high for regular takoyaki, the addition of a whole octopus justifies it. There is a variety of seasoning options available such as sauce, dashi shoyu, rock salt, green onion shichimi, green onion ponzu, curry powder, chili sauce, and mentaiko mayonnaise. Toppings like mayonnaise, aonori, and bonito flakes are free. This time, we ordered the sauce, rock salt, and green onion shichimi flavors to share among three people. Personally, I found the rock salt flavor to be incredibly delicious, especially with mayonnaise. The size of each piece is quite large, so be careful not to overeat as you might feel full quickly. While there is a 10-piece set available, the 6-piece set was sufficient for us. If you haven't tried it yet, I recommend giving it a shot.
