大舞 雅
This is a restaurant called North Dining Shingi, and on the lunch menu sign outside, words like "crab, salmon, scallop, Tokachi, Kushiro" are lined up, so even though I'm not very familiar with Hokkaido, I quickly understand that this is a place where you can eat dishes from the northern land. Inside the restaurant, there is a counter seat and kitchen in the front, and in the back, there are about five wooden table seats like a sunken kotatsu-style room where you take off your shoes to enter. Since I am with one other person, we sit at the 2-person table in the back. It was a little before lunch, but then more and more customers came in, and the seats started to fill up. I ordered the fried chicken set meal (¥770). You can choose from small, medium, or large rice portions, and there is a complimentary raw egg and a plate to put it in on the table. There is also a bottle of rice seasoning (bonito, egg & seaweed) on the table, which seems to be unlimited. The food was served about 7-8 minutes later. It looks quite extravagant. I chose the large rice portion, so I put some rice in the plate with the raw egg and soy sauce to make a TKG (tamago kake gohan - raw egg over rice). The fried chicken consists of 4 large pieces. It seems to be a Hokkaido-style Zangi with a soy sauce flavor, so the salt content is quite high, but it's good as a side dish for rice. It also comes with plenty of vegetables, which is nice. The miso soup has a nostalgic home-cooked taste and is delicious. The rice is also of good quality, so the seasoning comes alive. There is no drink menu during lunchtime, but the atmosphere is calm, so if there were drinks after the meal, I might end up lingering. Also, the floor and cashier, Ms. Oneneisan, is a beautiful lady, so that was also a plus. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I would like to try another popular lunch menu.
