I met up with former colleagues from my previous company on Saturday for lunch only. With the feeling that the end of the pandemic is finally in sight, I made a reservation thinking it would be crowded, but we easily got in. Unlike Namba, Umeda, Tsuruhashi, and Tennoji, Kyobashi doesn't have many tourists, so the restaurants are relatively empty. We chose the classic dishes like okonomiyaki, takoyaki, dashimaki tamago, cartilage karaage, and shrimp karaage, and the four of us drank a lot (we were so engrossed in conversation that we forgot to take photos). The cost performance is amazing with a 3-hour all-you-can-eat and drink for 3,600 yen (including tax), and you can stay for as long as you want even after the last order. The drink options include draft beer, highball, black Nikka highball, Kurokirishima shochu, Nizaemon shochu, and Kizakura, which is enough variety for a drinker to be satisfied. The interior is non-smoking, and smoking is allowed outside. The toilet is not separated by gender. Payment is cash only and must be made in advance. Also, during this time of year, since the teppanyaki area is open to the outside, the seats near the entrance can be quite hot. When you come to Osaka, you must try the takoyaki. This time, I visited Janbo. The inside is creamy and fluffy. This is something you can't make at home. The dashi broth adds a nice touch, and it tastes delicious even without sauce. Unlimited takoyaki with highball. Thank you for the meal.

I went to "Janbo Sogoten Jumbo Sakaba Kyobashi Ekimae Store" near Kyobashi Station. I ordered a la carte instead of the set lunch with rice and miso soup. I had a draft beer (390 yen tax included), Ikayaki (530 yen tax included), and Takoyaki with 15 pieces (880 yen tax included). The Takoyaki had a fluffy texture with plenty of tender squid inside. The broth was flavorful and the inside was creamy. It's a great deal as the price for 4 pieces in the store is 400 yen, so ordering more is cost-effective. Although I didn't try it this time, they also offer a 3-hour all-you-can-eat and drink option for 3,600 yen, so I would like to visit again.

During the night, we had 4 lemon chu-hai, yuzu lemon honey chu-hai, lime chu-hai, and grapefruit chu-hai. We also had 3 square highballs. The food we ordered included squid mayo ponzu, spicy cucumber, chilled tomato, scallops with butter soy sauce, cheese potato mochi yaki (4 pieces), and rolled omelette with salt, sauce, soy sauce, butter corn dashi. The octopus balls were delicious! We went with a friend and the last order was 3 hours later, which seems like a long time. The stay time is free, but without alcohol, we couldn't stay. The octopus balls were really delicious! Some were a bit salty and made us laugh, but that's okay. If there's a chance, I might visit again!

I occasionally get takoyaki for takeout, but this was my first time having lunch there. It was in the middle of a weekday, but there were people having a drink at lunchtime. I ordered the "Pork Kimchi Set Meal for 600 yen" which was surprisingly cheap, making me a bit skeptical. However, I was excited to see what it would be like. It arrived about 10 minutes after I ordered. The pork kimchi was smaller than I had imagined, which was a bit disappointing. But considering it was only 600 yen, I quickly got over it. It came with rice and miso soup. The miso soup was lightly seasoned and tasted healthy.

The other day at Kyobashi, the fourth drinking spot, I end up eating a lot when I get drunk! (^◇^;) We left there before 4:30 in the morning... I walked from Kyobashi to Namba and arrived home around 7:30... I'm an over 50-year-old man! Located about a 5-minute walk from Kyobashi Station in Osaka, Janbo Main Store offers delicious takoyaki. I ordered a 6-piece set for 350 yen when I was feeling a bit peckish. The takoyaki had a rich flavor that was slightly different from the ones in Tokyo, and it was very tasty. It was perfect as a snack with drinks.

After closing time at Yakiniku Yacchan, a rather unhealthy-looking pig, or maybe a pig with a bad liver, was released into the streets and ended up at Jumbo Sakaba, a bar open until morning, to enjoy takoyaki and drinks! They actually make the takoyaki fresh after you order it here! The octopus wasn't very big, but it was super delicious, hot and gooey. On my way out, I loudly thanked the staff, saying "I haven't had takoyaki this delicious in a long time! I was still hungry so I went to another place around 12:35. It was very crowded. Is there a 2nd floor here? I sat at a table in the back and ordered 6 takoyaki with sauce. It was served in about 2 minutes and the broth was delicious. I paid 520 yen in cash and now I'm off to the next place.

It's nice to see this place popping up everywhere lately, making it easy to drop in. Thank you for the meal.

Lunch at a restaurant near Keihan Mall behind Kyobashi Station in Osaka on a business trip. They offer an "Okonomiyaki set meal" for ¥550 until 3 pm. I tried changing it to a mixed okonomiyaki for an additional ¥170, but it seems the regular mixed one would have been better (lol). In Kanto, this style of set meal is unheard of, with both rice and flour-based dish, double carbohydrates. The taste was okay, but the okonomiyaki was cooked lightly. It's advertised by a Yoshimoto comedian, but regardless, Osaka is cheap, right?

The pork yakisoba was 440 yen and the lemon chu-hai was 308 yen, making a total of 748 yen. The sauce didn't suit my taste at all... I never had this experience at other "Janbo Main Store" locations before. I was able to eat it by adding a lot of nori and adjusting the flavor. I probably won't come to this restaurant again.

We came to Jumbo Sakaba feeling a little hungry and thirsty. Although there is a takoyaki shop near my house, this izakaya is great for cheap drinks. I ended up ordering 6 takoyaki balls and a highball because my stomach settled as I walked a bit away from the first place. You can choose between 6, 9, 12, or 15 takoyaki balls, which is convenient for adjusting to your appetite, but it would be nice if you could add an extra one or two. In the end, both of us were full after eating 3 takoyaki balls each, so it turned out to be a reasonable second stop. You can enjoy okonomiyaki and other dishes here while drinking, so it's a good place to have a drink before heading to the next spot.

The eat-in space at the takoyaki shop has turned into a casual drinking establishment. In addition to takoyaki, there are various other side dishes available so you won't get bored. Personally, I really liked the grilled bacon. It comes with asparagus and bean sprouts, making it a great dish to enjoy between bites. Although their jumbo izakaya concept seems to be limited to the Kansai region for now, I hope they expand to other areas like Kanto as well. When I left the fish shop, I wandered around Kyobashi (^O^)／ As I walked back towards Kyobashi Station from the shopping street, I suddenly became curious about the other side under the elevated tracks. I realized that I hadn't really been to the other side before. Maybe there's an interesting shop over there, so let's go check it out٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ Immediately, a flashy shop caught my eye: Janbo Main Store, Janbo Sakaba Kyobashi Ekimae Store. I remember this shop from the Tenjinbashi Suji shopping street. The cute illustrations caught my attention, but when I saw that they were undergoing renovations, I thought they were going to be rebranded, but it turned out to be a different shop (ﾉД`). As a reviewer who loves Osaka, I couldn't visit without trying their takoyaki, right? Σ੧(❛□❛✿) So, I decided to visit (^O^)／ This was my first time visiting this affiliated store, so I came in out of curiosity. It seems that this shop is primarily a takoyaki shop, not a sakaba (drinking place) combined with it. However, the shop was bustling with customers Σ('◉⌓◉’) After a short wait, I was seated at a table. Of course, the first thing to order was a draft beer, right? (^O^)／ And you can't visit without trying the takoyaki, so I ordered six pieces since the price per piece gets cheaper the more you order (=^▽^)σ I opted for toppings of sauce and seaweed only, as I believe that takoyaki should be enjoyed without bonito flakes and mayonnaise. As I waited for my order, I enjoyed the beer that arrived first. And then, the takoyaki arrived *\(^o^)/* What did I think? They were piping hot, so much so that even I, who is used to eating hot food, found them extremely hot (((((；ﾟДﾟ))))))) And one important thing to note about these takoyaki... they are a Russian roulette! Σ੧(❛□❛✿) What? Are there sweet or spicy fillings inside? No, that's not it at all Σ੧(❛□❛✿) These Russian roulette takoyaki don't have any octopus inside! Σ(￣。￣ﾉ)ﾉ In this case, only 3 out of the 6 pieces had octopus in them σ^_^; UnbelievableΣ（ﾟдﾟlll） Well, the takoyaki was cheap, so it's okay (laughs). I came to Kyobashi after a long time, and wow, a new takoyaki izakaya has opened up here! Let's make this our second stop for our Kyobashi drinking spree! The interior of the restaurant is quite spacious. It's a casual and easy-going atmosphere, very much fitting for Kyobashi. The menu offers a variety of dishes, from takoyaki to okonomiyaki and yakisoba, as well as other izakaya dishes. It's a great place for a drink or a quick break, so it's a good find. After work, I decided to check out this shop called "Janbo Sōhonten Janbo Sakaba Kyobashi Ekimae Store". It's located near JR Kyobashi Station along National Route 1. I often see their takeout stores, but this is the first time I've seen one with an izakaya attached. The drinks and food are reasonably priced, so it's a good place to go even when your wallet is feeling a bit empty. The food and drink menu are both affordable. Maybe that's why the customers seem to be on the younger side. I ordered a highball for 230 yen and a Super Dry for 280 yen. I started with some edamame for 120 yen, then tried the tonpeiyaki for 280 yen and the takoyaki for 330 yen. I added a half-cooked egg for 50 yen on top of the takoyaki. You can choose your preferred seasoning for the takoyaki, such as sauce, soy sauce, ponzu, or salt. The takoyaki was hot and freshly made, with a fluffy texture and a good amount of filling. It was a comforting taste. Of course, you can also get takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and yakisoba for takeout, so you can enjoy them at home too. It was a satisfying meal.

I went to a second bar after standing and drinking in Kyobashi, and it was a great restaurant with better cost performance than I imagined.
