Unfortunately, the biscotti I was looking for was sold out and I couldn't buy it. These cream puffs are just delicious. You can tell they have plenty of cows.

After having a bento box, I decided to get some soft serve ice cream from a certain store... Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture. But I still wanted something sweet, so I wandered around and happened to come across a shop called Hokkaro that had just opened. I remembered that I couldn't try a certain menu item last time I visited, so I decided to give it a go this time. It was called a "Dream Balloon" and cost 351 yen per piece. Basically, it's a cream puff stuffed into a cup, it seems to be quite popular. I bought one and took it to the resting area. I unwrapped the packaging and took out the contents. There was a little white sweet thing (I forgot the name) that got on my hand a bit, showing my clumsiness. I was given a spoon with a split end, but I was unsure how to eat it... I decided to just take a bite. The taste was indeed like a cream puff. When I used the spoon to scoop out the cream from the part I bit into, it reminded me of the taste of a cream puff I had eaten before. It had a refreshing cream. I struggled a bit with how to eat it, biting into it and using the spoon, but eventually managed to finish it. The taste was not bad, but it was a bit difficult to eat for some reason... My main target is their cream puff called "Northern Dream Dome", but often when I arrive in the evening, it's already sold out, so I end up having to give up. The cream is absolutely delicious. It's a double filling of fresh cream and custard, not too sweet and very elegant. When they mix together, the flavor becomes even more delicious. I wish I could share it as a souvenir with many people, but the expiration date is only for that day, so I always enjoy it at home. It would also be nice to eat it at the accommodation on the day I arrive in Hokkaido.

I am in Yugawara, and my wife's companion from here made a reservation in advance for a souvenir. When I returned home and received it, my family was delighted. The Calisac pie has cream sitting inside the pastry, creating an interesting texture. There are so many different sweets available now.

The soft serve ice cream portion is large! It's wide and tall, so in terms of quantity, it's surprising like Kinotoya. It's rich yet refreshing, so it was easy to eat in one go. It has a strong milk flavor, typical of Hokkaido soft serve. The black specks are vanilla beans? The aroma was very nice, and it was delicious!!

Mysterious Gourmet Exploration Team in Hokkaido. Our Hokkaido expedition has come to an end. We wandered around New Chitose Airport looking for souvenirs. I found some sea urchin rice crackers being sold for a limited time at Hokkaido Karyu. I have a weakness for limited-time items, so I bought one right away. It has a sea urchin flavor, but the kelp inside adds a nice accent. It's great as a snack with tea, but also goes well as a beer accompaniment.

These are gifts I received from an acquaintance who visited Hokkaido. The Baumkuchen costs 151 yen, the Busse Cake from Hokkaido Yumesando costs 150 yen, and the chocolate-covered cake called "Fairy Path" costs 108 yen. The names may be hard to understand, but all of them are high-quality sweets. In particular, the Busse Cake from Hokkaido Yumesando was delicious with raisins in the white ganache cream, where the raisins served as a nice accent.

During a day trip to Hokkaido, I really, really wanted to eat at Hokkairo. Unfortunately, the item I was looking for was sold out even on a weekday. I switched gears and had a cream puff instead. It was incredibly delicious! I wonder why I hadn't tried it before, it was that good... Definitely a sweet shop I want to visit again.

I received a souvenir from Hokkaido, "Hokkaido Kaitaku Okaki" from "Hokkaro." This is said to be one of the most popular souvenirs available at New Chitose Airport. According to their official website, Hokkaido Kaitaku Okaki goes through a meticulous 7-day process from polishing the rice, steaming, pounding, aging, drying, deep-frying, to seasoning, with each piece being carefully made. The effort put into the aging and drying process results in a change in taste and aroma, showcasing the dedication of Hokkaro. They also carefully select only high-quality Hokkaido ingredients for their products. Hokkaido Kaitaku Okaki comes in various flavors, and I received five types: Mashike Sweet Shrimp, Erimo Kombu, Shikotsu Scallop, Hakodate Squid, and Shosan Salmon. My family enjoyed all flavors except for Hakodate Squid, which had a strong squid scent that some found off-putting. The Erimo Kombu had a subtle seaweed flavor, the Shosan Salmon had a crispy texture, and the Mashike Sweet Shrimp had a distinct shrimp aroma. Overall, we had a good experience and look forward to trying other flavors in the future, particularly the Esashi Hair Crab. Thank you for the meal.

At New Chitose Airport, there is a very famous store called Hokkaido Kaitaku. The airport store is not very large, so there aren't many items available, but they have all the main products and you can also buy cream puffs if it's not too late. It's perfect for a snack before departure, as you can't just eat soft serve ice cream all the time. This time, I bought a Baumkuchen called "Forest of Fairies" and a cream puff called "Dream Dome."

Whenever I go to Chitose Airport, I always buy this. The cost performance is great (hopefully it won't increase in price, 180 yen each). The cream puffs are delicious. They are often sold out by the afternoon, so I went in the morning this time. There is a limited edition called something balloon, but I don't recommend it as it's hard to eat. I like the two cream puffs that look like cream puffs. The dough is different, so depending on whether you want it fluffy or crispy, you can choose what to buy.

When you go to Hokkaido, it's a must to bring back Shifon cake and several types of rice crackers from Hokkaido Kitakaro as souvenirs, and eat cream puffs on the spot. I chose the Dream Dome with lots of fresh cream from the two types available, and with the cooling pack and bag, it cost 931 yen. The staff told me to consume it on the day of purchase, but I assured them that I would definitely finish it. I moved to the hotel and put it in the fridge for now. After dinner, it was time to eat it. I took one out and tried it. The taste of the fresh cream was not too rich, and surprisingly, it wasn't too sweet either. Even people who don't like sweet things might enjoy this. There was a custard-like cream under the fresh cream, but it wasn't very sweet either. Overall, it was not overly sweet. I managed to finish all three of them, and they were delicious. I even had some with alcohol as a snack later on. I enjoyed it. Next time, I plan to try the other type as well. On the first day of my business trip to Hokkaido in January 2023, I arrived at New Chitose Airport and headed to the second floor to visit Hokkairo to reserve two cream puffs as souvenirs. It's recommended to reserve them in advance because they tend to sell out by the evening. The payment can be made on the same day. I decided to reserve two cream puffs and thought of enjoying one there. I also saw a pop-up for a special apple pie priced at 410 yen. I had it while waiting for my senior at the car rental counter. The apple pie was heavy, with a shiny appearance. It was filled with ripe and juicy apples, which made it satisfying. It had been four years since I last had it, and I remembered it used to cost 270 yen. The price had increased, but it was still worth it. Of course, the cream puffs were delicious too.

I love Baumkuchen so much that I would answer it as my favorite snack if asked. I have tried various Baumkuchen from famous shops, but this one is my favorite. When I first tried it, I was amazed by its moistness. I used to buy it often when I lived in Hokkaido, but it's a shame that it's not often available at food fairs, and it's hard to find in Tokyo. It has a subtle honey flavor and a slightly crunchy texture like granulated sugar on the outside. While Hokkaido Confectionery is also famous for its cream puffs, I highly recommend their Baumkuchen. They also have individually wrapped versions, making it easy to buy as a souvenir.

I have been visiting Hokkaro for a long time. This time, I went to New Chitose Airport! The Dreamy Cream Puff that I always buy is the best. It costs 750 yen for 3 pieces. The pie choux is also delicious, and the cream inside is also delicious. The overall balance is excellent. I really want someone nearby to imitate this cream puff. That's how much I love it.

When going to New Chitose Airport, I always feel nervous. I worry if they are sold out. Hokkaido Dome has a perfect combination of whipped cream and custard cream. Dream Wonderland has plenty of custard cream made with whipped cream. Pisco has a slightly cheesy flavor. Not only the dough, but also the cream inside is different. I can't choose, so I always end up buying all three, but the expiration date is only for that day, so the guilt of indulging myself is the biggest drawback.
