I wandered around Namba to find a place for lunch and came across "Jumbo Sakaba." Since I'm in Osaka, I wanted to try okonomiyaki and takoyaki! The lunch menu offered an okonomiyaki set with the option to upgrade to a "modern-yaki" style which includes okonomiyaki or yakisoba with rice and miso soup. It was a bit strange to have okonomiyaki as part of a set meal, but it was a unique twist. I also wanted to try yakisoba, so I went for the "modern-yaki" style. The takoyaki (4 pieces) had a different batter than usual, with a thick, chewy texture and a crispy exterior. It was a new and satisfying experience. The portions were generous, and I left feeling full!

Buttered corn for 390 yen, Tonpei-yaki for 390 yen, 6 pieces of takoyaki for 520 yen, a glass of chilled sake for 420 yen, and a lime chu-hi for 380 yen. It's a good place to casually enjoy some drinks and snacks. I felt like the flavors could use a little more refinement.

The shop is located in a busy area with lots of foot traffic, always bustling. The taste is average but it's cheap and you can eat a variety of things, so it's appreciated. I ordered the all-you-can-eat and drink option for 3,600 yen including tax, with a last order time of 3 hours. I had 4 Super Dry beers, 4 takoyaki, fluffy cheese topping, bacon and eggs, sausages, asparagus bacon, rolled omelette, fried chicken, pickled vegetables, and 3 glasses of Kuro Kirishima on the rocks. I drank a lot after skipping breakfast and lunch. Even though it was all-you-can-eat, I have listed the prices for reference. I ended up getting pretty drunk ^^;

I chose this place with a very eye-catching sign to have lunch after getting tired of walking. The interior was spacious, and it seemed to get quite lively during lunchtime or at night. This time, I ordered the most popular dish in the restaurant, the Omusoba, as indicated on the menu. Despite the price, the portion was generous, and the taste was rich and very delicious. Since this is a chain restaurant, if there is one nearby when I visit another location in Osaka, I would like to stop by again.

Jyanbo Sakaba is a great place to challenge the 3-hour all-you-can-eat and drink deal for 3,600 yen with a friend. The prepayment system is probably to prevent customers from forgetting to pay when they get drunk. You can choose between Highball, Kaku or Black Nikka, and Super Dry beer. The Dashimaki Tamago is fluffy and delicious, not like the frozen ones at cheap izakayas. The Scallop Butter Yaki has a nice buttery soy sauce flavor. The Tonpei Yaki portion is just right for two people. The Chikuwa Isobeage, Ham Katsu, and Nankotsu Karaage were all tasty as well. It gets crowded after 7 pm during Golden Week, so it's best to make a reservation. The restaurant is smoke-free and has separate restrooms for men and women, which is nice. The staff is busy but always friendly. It might be helpful if they offered a "Mega" size option for the all-you-can-drink deal or allowed ordering through a touch panel. Overall, Jyanbo Sakaba is a great choice for drinking in Namba!

This is a lunch with amazing cost performance. On Sundays at 12pm, the restaurant is more than half full. All seats are non-smoking, with a smoking room at the back, making it a comfortable place even for non-smokers. The large okonomiyaki set with pork, rice, and miso soup for 600 yen is a great deal. However, you may have to wait for more than 10 minutes before being served. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference from high-end okonomiyaki, so I was completely satisfied.

After leaving Bacchus UoZu, I wandered around Tenma and took the subway back to Shinsaibashi. I was still not done with drinking, but my stomach was full. It was past midnight, and most of the shops in Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi were closed. I was looking for a place that serves some light snacks without a cover charge. The answer was Jumbo Sakaba in Sen-nichimae. Located near my base camp Amza, it was a convenient location even late at night. I ordered a large draft beer for 500 yen, a great deal. The place was already bustling with customers, and as the night went on, the crowd got younger. I couldn't help but wonder if they were all going to make it home safely after work or school. I added 6 pieces of takoyaki to go with my beer, which were delicious. I couldn't resist ordering another large draft beer. The atmosphere was lively, with ZIGGY's "GLORIA" playing in the background. I almost started singing along. I left the place just before 2 am, thanking the hardworking staff. Jumbo Sakaba used to be open 24 hours, but now it closes at 5 am, so take note. In conclusion, my rating goes up not for the takoyaki, but for their dedication to serving drinks even late at night. The fact that they have a smoking room is also a plus, as you don't have to worry about cigarette smoke. It's a place that exudes hospitality.

Today's lunch was the Omusoba set meal, which came with rice and miso soup for 700 yen. You can choose from large, medium, or small rice portions. The Omusoba alone was quite filling. However, it would be even better if they had some furikake to sprinkle on the rice, as eating the same flavor for too long can get boring.

After leaving Kyobashi, I took the JR train to Temma, but the shop I wanted to visit was temporarily closed and fully booked. After wandering around for a while, I ended up taking the subway to Nihonbashi. I went into Amza for a break and then ventured out into the night streets. Since I had been walking around different places, my throat was dry and I felt like having a cheap beer. I arrived at Jumbo Sakaba Sennichimae Store. When I entered the store, I was seated at a table in the back. Although it looked like a smoking-permitted store at first glance, there was a smoking room, which was convenient for those who dislike smoke. I ordered a large draft beer, which had the Tokyo Olympics logo printed on the glass and was around 555 ml. The price was 500 yen, which seemed like a good deal considering there were no appetizers included. I also ordered yakisoba and 6 pieces of takoyaki as side dishes. I ended up having a total of 3 large draft beers throughout the night, and the bill came to 2700 yen, which was quite reasonable. The store is open 24 hours and conveniently located near my base at Amza, so I might visit again if I feel like having a late-night beer. I returned home at 2 AM.

It's a big box store, huh. I have a vague memory of eating jumbo takoyaki that my child bought a long time ago. There used to be a lot of takeout-only shops, but now there are some places where you can eat in, and they have become quite respectable establishments with many seats, all in a place like this. It's like a takoyaki dream. Anyway, I visited during lunchtime. The signboard had sets for okonomiyaki, fried foods, and so on. Inside, there were quite a few customers drinking during the day. Truly Minami! It's probably less crowded than Shinsekai... I ordered the "Okonomiyaki set" for 600 yen. You can upgrade to a mix okonomiyaki for an additional 150 yen, so I chose that. It came quickly! In about 3 minutes. It came with rice and miso soup. The miso soup had only green onions as ingredients. The rice wasn't great. I didn't quite like the okonomiyaki batter. But it's cheap, so I guess it's okay. I still haven't had proper takoyaki, so I'll try it if I get the chance. My opinion might change.

In the morning, I did office work at home and had a meeting with a administrative scrivener in the afternoon. I was craving okonomiyaki, so I headed to the popular okonomiyaki restaurants in Chitose. However, they were all crowded, so I decided to try Jyanbo Sakaba in Chitose for the third time. I ordered a Black Nikka highball and the pork okonomiyaki set lunch, which came with rice and miso soup for 600 yen. The okonomiyaki was simple and delicious, with a good balance of sauce and mayo. The rice complemented the meal well. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch experience.

I finished work early and went to Nihonbashi to visit an electronics store. It was Big Camera \(//∇//)\ There are many shops selling electronics in the area, but I find it daunting to enter them alone (lol). So, I decided to visit a place I had been to when it first opened, Janbo Sakaba Sennichimae store. Their takoyaki never disappoints \(//∇//)\ I entered the store and was seated at a table. I ordered: - Lemon Chuhai - 6 pieces of takoyaki with special sauce - Cucumber The cucumber and takoyaki were served immediately, even before my drink arrived (・Д・) I waited for my drink \(//∇//)\ When the Lemon Chuhai arrived, I raised a toast to myself (o^^o) I took a bite of the takoyaki... yes, it was delicious \(//∇//)\ The cucumber was spicy and went well with the Chuhai (o^^o) As I started drinking, I felt like going to the next place, so I left immediately! Thank you for the meal.

The first dish was 6 pieces of takoyaki for only 400 yen, a really good deal. The taste was also quite delicious! The second dish was the "Mix Tamago," with pork tamago priced at 450 yen, another budget-friendly option. "Jumbo Sakaba Sennichimae" was a great experience. A Konamon shop near a 450 yen station, which is quite common. It is located a bit off the main street, but the sign is big and easy to spot. The taste is decent, and it's a good option once in a while. Due to pressure from various sources, the draft has been revised, so the logs from June 2019 are minimal, and images have been minimized since January 2020.
