I knew about Kyo Chabana but this was my first visit. It's quite a famous restaurant, with branches in Shin-Osaka as well. The first floor has counter seats, while the second floor has table seats, and we were seated on the second floor. The staff asked if it was our first time and recommended their specialty tomato okonomiyaki and avocado yakisoba. We started with a toast with beer. We ordered a variety of dishes, including their homemade chicken ham and tomato, butter-grilled shiitake mushrooms, pork kimchi, grilled tomato with cheese and miso, steamed cabbage with porcini sauce, and cucumber with spicy cod roe mayo. The tomato okonomiyaki was particularly delicious, with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce on top. It was different from the typical Osaka okonomiyaki, more like a Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki without noodles. Overall, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was stylish. I enjoyed it and will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!

I can't visit Osaka without having some flour-based dishes. Whenever I come to Osaka, I always feel like eating okonomiyaki or takoyaki. This restaurant is a chain known for its creative okonomiyaki and yakisoba dishes. The interior has a trendy izakaya style and is popular among young people. Contrary to expectations, the okonomiyaki was really delicious. The reason why the restaurant doesn't have a higher rating on Tabelog may be due to biases against chain restaurants assuming they are not that good. The appetizer, grilled chicken stomach, was pre-made and served cold. The chef skillfully prepares various dishes in front of customers. The tomato okonomiyaki I ordered had a rating of 8.5. The chef first mixes diced tomatoes with sauce and cooks it. Then, a thin crepe-like dough is laid out, topped with a large amount of cabbage, tempura bits, and a sauce similar to vinegar. This creates a fluffy and thick okonomiyaki. It looks like a fluffy pancake. The taste is amazing with the exquisite sauce and the melted tomato essence. It seems to contain yam or something similar. The avocado soba, another specialty, is literally grilled soba noodles with avocado. This combination is surprisingly delicious.

I was disappointed that I didn't try the famous tomato okonomiyaki even though I went to a famous place. I definitely want to try it next time I go! The regular okonomiyaki and yakisoba were delicious and had a rich flavor. The atmosphere was nice with a slightly dim lighting. It would be a good place for a date. Plus, being able to watch the food being cooked was reassuring and fun!

Tomato okonomiyaki with pork and mozzarella cheese ¥1290, draft beer ¥550. Tonight's dinner was okonomiyaki! I occasionally crave okonomiyaki, so I decided to eat at this restaurant near my workplace. I ordered the recommended tomato okonomiyaki. It was topped with cheese and drizzled with tomato sauce made with a whole tomato right in front of me. It was delicious with plenty of tomatoes! The okonomiyaki was fluffy and soft with egg inside, and when cut, the yolk flowed out smoothly. The sauce was rich, but the acidity of the tomatoes and chopped shiso leaves made it not too heavy. I'll try to recreate this at home. It was delicious. Thank you. Enjoyed it 7.0

I visited the restaurant with my companion for dinner. The butter sautéed squid was delicious. The tomato dishes were also tasty, and the okonomiyaki was delicious too. I visited the restaurant because I was curious about the okonomiyaki with tomato and the yakisoba with black avocado! The tomato sauce on the okonomiyaki was quite rich and I liked it! However, the okonomiyaki itself had a lot of yam in it, making it too soft to pick up with chopsticks. The noodles in the yakisoba were made of soba! I thought it would be a good match, but it wasn't! Haha I would have preferred regular yakisoba noodles! Thank you for the meal!

The most surprising menu item was the Genovese-style luxurious tomato okonomiyaki, available exclusively for the restaurant's followers with reservation required by the previous day. The thick, souffle cake-like batter topped with whole tomatoes, seafood, and plenty of cheese in a Genovese-style sauce made us question if it really was okonomiyaki, but the fluffy batter combined with the rich flavors of basil and cheese worked surprisingly well. Another specialty is the tomato okonomiyaki, with a cabbage-filled batter topped with overflowing mozzarella cheese and fresh tomato sauce, offering a refreshing taste. The avocado black yakisoba, made with soba noodles and a sauce of spinach, yam, and plenty of avocado, is also quite innovative. While we mainly tried the evolved menu items this time, the restaurant also offers traditional okonomiyaki and yakisoba. Renovated modern space from a 50-year-old warehouse is a popular okonomiyaki chain with several locations in Osaka. I have visited the Kyobashi location multiple times, but this was my first visit to the original store, which is actually located in Minami Semba. The interior has a counter on the first floor and tables on the second floor, and it was fully packed with both locals and foreign visitors. I ordered the following menu items: - Yomogi and Awase Kyoto Namafu with two kinds of miso - the miso flavor and chewy texture were irresistible. - Crispy lotus root cheese chips - loaded with cheese and the pleasant crunch of lotus root. - Avocado black yakisoba with mixed vegetables - a personal favorite with soba noodles, mustard, spinach, and yam sauce. - Tomato okonomiyaki with overflowing mozzarella cheese - a signature dish with plenty of tomato and cabbage, topped with a runny egg yolk. - Fluffy tororo okonomiyaki to eat with dashi - a limited menu item for Instagram followers, a souffle-style okonomiyaki with grated yam and egg yolk. - Sweet Kyoto honey pot - chewy mochi with vanilla ice cream and black honey, a delightful combination. I went to a teppanyaki restaurant and it seemed like they only accepted reservations on holidays. I ordered a mixed okonomiyaki (modern style) and a tomato x mozzarella cheese okonomiyaki. It took a bit of time for them to cook, so it's a good idea to order other menu items besides teppanyaki. I also ordered dried fruits and cream cheese with honey, and everything was delicious.

I tried the new limited menu item at #Kyochabana Minamisenba store in Minami Senba, Osaka starting from April 10th. It is called "Fluffy Tororo Okonomiyaki with Dashi" where thick fluffy batter is topped with plenty of grated tororo and eaten with a special white dashi sauce. The famous Tomato Okonomiyaki uses shredded cabbage and has a Kyoto-produced egg yolk in the middle of the batter. It is served with a tomato-rich sauce for a refreshing salad-like taste. The Avocado Soba uses soba noodles with spinach and yam sauce, topped with chunks of avocado. The Lotus Root Cheese Chips have a crispy cheese and lotus root combination that is excellent. The menu also includes Kyoto-style miso-dengaku with Kyoto-style honey pot. Compared to regular okonomiyaki, the batter contains 50% less flour, making it healthier and perfect for women. The service was not good. It may have been just an issue with the staff that day. The atmosphere is nice. Recommended for couples. Asked if it was okay to just have a meal, but was forced to order a drink. Ordered a soft drink and still got a complimentary dish. Soft drink was 290 yen. Complimentary dish was 300 yen, which is a fair price, so I think the restaurant is good in that aspect. Cabbage with porcini sauce for 590 yen, and tomato mozzarella for 1390 yen. Not cheap, but both were delicious. Found out it's a chain restaurant. The base is solid, but each store may vary in quality, which is understandable. There weren't many places to eat properly after 8:30 pm in the area, so I went in, but I don't think I'll be going back in the future. It was a nice atmosphere, so I think it's good for enjoying drinks with a female companion.

The recommended okonomiyaki at this shop was really delicious!! Personally, I love the avocado okonomiyaki! It's even tastier when you sprinkle coarse salt on it from a separate plate. It goes really well with wine!! I would like to nominate this place as a delicious recommended okonomiyaki restaurant for those visiting Kansai for the first time haha (although the service from the staff is not very good...).

I visited this restaurant for lunch for the first time! It was around 12:30, but I was able to get in smoothly! There were about 9 lunch menu options, and I ordered the okonomiyaki with negi (green onions) and tororo (grated yam)! It looked delicious even before I started eating! The yam was not mixed into the batter but topped on the surface! On top of that, there was a raw egg yolk, making it a luxurious dish! When I smashed the yolk and ate it, it was surprisingly healthy and my chopsticks kept moving! The yam wraps around the sauce and pork, making it a dish that is well-received by women as well!
