On February 23, Reiwa 5 (Thursday), we returned from Wakayama. My wife and I stumbled upon this place by chance about 3-4 weeks ago with the catchphrase "Namba Kitchen," but we often frequented the more lively area in the north. This time, the two of us, who are directionally challenged, somehow ended up here by chance, which can only be described as lucky, right? After ordering wine, I thought about trying something different than usual, but in the end, my picky father's order was the same as always! However, today we did order something a little different! The skill of the chef here is beyond words, and their aesthetic sense is top-notch! Each dish is a source of constant amazement for my wife and me! I may be seen as a poor father who doesn't understand country food by the son of a wealthy tire shop owner who frequents a different dimension of shops, but I hope people will consider my ten years of life experience a little! Our orders included: - Appetizer x 2 (300 yen each) - Shrimp and Lotus Root Tempura (480 yen) - Vegetable Tempura (430 yen) - Hamachi Sushi (580 yen) - Assorted Pickles (480 yen) - Buttered Potatoes (380 yen) - Red Wine Bottle (2,200 yen) To be honest, we usually visit during the lull between lunch and dinner, when the staff are taking a breather after the busy lunch rush. We enjoy a peaceful time just like the staff, which may be why we feel even more satisfied than usual! Today, we shared another hour of complete satisfaction. Just as we were thinking of leaving, a group of 15 reservation guests arrived! It was heartwarming to see others agreeing with our choice of restaurant, and we left feeling touched. Cheers to the chef who, despite being a salaryman at a chain restaurant, possesses a wonderful sense of Japanese cuisine! Today, we were moved by all the restaurants we visited (3 in total)! Thank you for the wonderful meals!

On this day, I came here at the request of my companion. The restaurant is located on the stairs leading out of Namba Walk. We were guided to our seats right away in the almost full restaurant, so we started with beer. We ordered what we wanted to eat, drank beer, and had a fun and delicious time!

I had known about this restaurant for a long time, but I had never actually dined there. I decided to try their lunch special which includes two daily options during the week and one on weekends. I was torn between the Western combo set and the Chicken Nanban, but ended up ordering the Chicken Nanban set. The portion size was generous, and the chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, just the way I like it. The homemade tartar sauce was delicious and went well with the rice. The Japanese-style omelette had a mild flavor, and the miso soup had just the right level of richness. Considering the quality of this meal at a price of 800 yen including tax, I think the cost performance is quite good for a restaurant in Minami.

This is a restaurant located on the B1 floor of the Hokkyokusei Building near Namba Station. I used it for lunch. There are various lunch menu options, and I chose the Chicken Nanban set meal. The set meal comes with Chicken Nanban and an omelette, and you can also upgrade to a large portion of rice. It was a satisfying and delicious meal.

Weekends also offer daily lunch specials, which is fantastic! It doubles the enjoyment of weekend lunches. I appreciate it. The Chinese rice bowl is overflowing with rice. I used the discount coupon I received last time to have a lunch at an izakaya. The daily Chinese set meal "Thinly sliced beef and egg in oyster sauce stir-fry" was delicious just by the name! The tempura shrimp eaten with matcha salt was also good!! And I got another discount coupon after paying the bill. It seems like I will always get a 50 yen discount. I tried a lunch at a slightly hard-to-find izakaya. The Japanese-style omelette looked delicious, so I decided to come here. First visit on January 28th. About a month later (2/23) for a revisit. On 1/28, I took a leisurely walk from Umeda towards Minami. I wandered around Namba underground shopping area and as I was about to head above ground, I happened to come across the sign of a izakaya (Hyakuban). I have visited several Hyakuban locations in the past such as Senri Chuo and Osaka Station Building (although these locations seem to no longer exist), but this was my first time in Namba. It had a familiar and down-to-earth feel, so I happily entered without hesitation. The entrance wasn't very wide, but the interior was spacious. The menu and drink options were abundant (including bottled wine). The seasonal ingredients were skillfully prepared by the chef into sophisticated creative dishes. For us, it felt like a high-class Japanese restaurant. I went to Osaka for lunch in Namba. I visited "Hyakuban Namba no Daidokoro" located in the basement of the Hokkyokusei Building. The Hokkyokusei Building is the headquarters of the famous original omurice restaurant "Hokkyokusei". Hyakuban is located in the basement and connected to Namba Walk underground, so you can go there without an umbrella after getting off the subway. I looked at the lunch menu and ordered the "Negitoro Don Set". The set meal that came out consisted of negitoro don, miso soup, pickles, tempura, and dashimaki. There were even people drinking from noon, maybe they are regular customers? I envy them. I visited this restaurant in Namba for lunch for the second time. I wanted to eat something hearty, so I chose this place. Last time, the daily special was sold out, so I ordered it. Today's special was beef cutlet and white fish fry. They have a set lunch menu for the month, so if you go at the beginning of the month, you can see what the daily specials will be. The fry was still greasy as usual, so I peeled off some of the batter. If you have a young stomach, you will be satisfied with the portion and richness! It's only 800 yen, but this time I got a 50 yen discount coupon for the next visit at the checkout! If I can eat for 750 yen next time, I will definitely go back. Just make sure to go on a day when your stomach is feeling strong.笑

I don't know Namba well, so when I was looking for a lunch spot, I ended up here. It's located underground. They have a monthly menu with daily specials and Chinese dishes. Everything is 800 yen, so I had a hard time deciding, but I went with the safe choice of Chicken Nanban. They also offer options like Negitoro Don (with tempura) and a combination lunch with hamburger, shrimp, and white fish. My order arrived in less than five minutes. The portion was huge and the Japanese-style omelette had a strong dashi flavor. The Chicken Nanban was made with tender chicken breast and went well with the rice. However, it was a lot of food! This place might be more suited for men or those looking for a hearty, filling lunch rather than a leisurely meal.

After leaving Japonica, I arrived at Namba by subway (^O^)/ Normally, I would head straight to my base at Amza, but on this day, I decided to stop by a shop that had caught my interest before. That shop is Hyakuban Namba no Daidokoro. I had seen the sign on my way from Namba Station to Amza, so I had always wanted to visit the shop. I went down the stairs to the underground. When I looked at the menu board in front of the shop, I found quite a variety of menu items, although I was planning to just have sashimi. Upon entering the shop, I was guided to a counter seat. I usually order a draft beer right away, but this time I was intrigued by the tomato sour drink on the menu, so I ordered that (^O^)/ I also chose a sashimi platter with 7 varieties. While I thought of ordering one more dish, the appetizer arrived, so I thought I didn't need another dish. After a short wait, the sashimi platter was served *\(^o^)/* The sashimi was arranged on a bed of crushed ice and looked appetizing at first glance. However, when I tried it, the sea bream lacked texture... or rather, overall, the sashimi didn't seem fresh, and it felt a bit slimy in the mouth. As a sashimi lover, I am quite particular about the quality of sashimi, and unfortunately, I couldn't find this sashimi delicious. But I didn't want to waste it, so I ended up washing it down with the tomato sour towards the end (^^;) Perhaps in the past, I might have found it delicious, but as I have been trying delicious sashimi at various shops, I may have become a gourmet like Kaoru Yamanouchi? (laughs) On the other hand, the tomato sour was delicious. Unfortunately, I don't think I will revisit this shop for the sashimi. The service and atmosphere of the shop were not bad, so it was disappointing (ノД`) Now, I will stop by Amza first and then head to that shop in Temma, I guess (^O^)/ PS After that, when I headed to the shop... to my surprise, my good friend Mairebi was there Σ('◉⌓◉') Even though we didn't have any specific plans to meet (Mairebi thought I was coming next week), I was amazed by this chance encounter!

I consulted with my partner about having a year-end party with former colleagues, and they recommended a delicious, affordable, and cozy restaurant in Namba. It is conveniently located near Nankai Namba Station and Namba Metro Station. They have a wide variety of menu options, and beer and sake are also available at a reasonable price. I would definitely like to visit again.

We couldn't wait any longer and entered the restaurant together before meeting the other person. We had firefly squid with vinegar miso dressing, bamboo shoots with wood sorrel, and butter-sautéed clams and snow peas. I had been avoiding chain restaurants, but this place only has one other location in Osaka. The food was quite delicious.

After work, I was taken to this restaurant by my senior colleagues... I think there were 7 of us in total. The restaurant is located on the basement floor near Namba. It seemed like one of my seniors knew someone there. It's a typical izakaya that salarymen often frequent. I really like this kind of place (・∀・) It was my junior colleague who knew the restaurant well that placed the order for us. We had a variety of dishes, including appetizers, sashimi, and grilled skewers. Among them, the most delicious dish was the "Grilled Meatball Skewer with Beef Tongue". It's a skewer dipped in a rich egg yolk. When you dip it in the yolk and eat it, it's so tasty (゚д゚)ウマー We also enjoyed our drinks and had a great time together \(^o^)/
