Located a 6-minute walk from Kiyomizu-Gojo Station, near the tourist spot "Kiyomizu Temple," on the first floor of NOHGA HOTEL, which opened in April 2022. A restaurant serving grilled dishes cooked with authentic firewood and charcoal. It offers a chic, adult space with an open kitchen, a bar counter, and large group tables that can be used according to the occasion. This time, I visited for dinner. - Prosciutto: Enjoy the fluffy texture of Parma ham aged and sliced to order at the open kitchen. - Seviche Assortment: Marinated seafood with three varieties - octopus and celery, salmon and salmon roe, amberjack and daikon. - Seasonal Grilled Vegetable Assortment: Using a Jasper Grill imported from Spain, the vegetables are juicy and flavorful. Grilled buttercup squash, stick senor beets, lotus root, black radish, Kyoto vegetables, man-wanji chili peppers, Kamo eggplant. The grilled preparation and emphasis on vegetables allow you to savor the natural flavors. - Grilled Hiroshima Eel with Risotto: Grilled eel on top of risotto with balsamic and curry sauce. A surprising combination that works perfectly, with spicy flavors, a balanced acidity, and sweetness. The eel is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. - Bacon and Onion Amatriciana: A pasta dish with a tomato-based sauce, onions, aged bacon, and cheese. The refreshing acidity and the umami of the bacon complement each other well. - Basque-Style Cheesecake: Smooth gelato made with a dedicated machine. The rich cheesecake with a hint of salt as an accent. The high-quality grilled dishes cooked over firewood and charcoal in the hotel, along with the excellent hospitality of the staff, made for a pleasant dining experience. It is recommended to make a reservation as it can get crowded with non-hotel guests as well. I casually visited while staying at the hotel, but I plan to use it again when I come to Kyoto. I went there for the first time and the atmosphere was nice. They had a soup made with white peaches, but when I mentioned that I couldn't eat it, they quickly offered me something else. The staff was friendly and even engaged in casual conversation when refilling my water. Overall, it was a pleasant experience!

I was able to visit the rooftop bar on the top of the building. I was worried about the weather, but I could visit safely! Reservations are not available. The rooftop bar had a great atmosphere, especially during the pleasant twilight hours. It's a great place to relax and have a leisurely conversation. The food was a bit on the expensive side overall, but it was delicious!

The main dining at Nohga Hotel is open to non-guests as well. It's stylish, delicious, the restaurant is clean, and the staff are friendly. And considering the content, it's really great value for money! Around 9:30 am on a weekday, the restaurant was about half full. There are many counter seats, but there are also tables available. [What I ate] Morning Plate (Eggs Benedict) ¥2420 #Comes with bread, soup, a drink buffet, and salad. First of all, I was amazed by the variety of the bread buffet!!!! There were about 20 different types of bite-sized bread. To have this many options at this price range...! And the main dish. One Eggs Benedict with salmon, the other with ham. Such attention to detail...! So delightful...! The drinks included 2 types of juice, coffee, and tea. There was one type of soup (corn soup). To get all of this at this price point, I think it's a really good deal. The taste was delicious too, I was surprised!! It was so good! Most of the staff were very friendly. They were very attentive. And from what I saw, most of the staff were also proficient in English. It seems easy to communicate with guests from overseas. The only thing to mention would be the access. I took a taxi, and the driver said "On weekends, the cars don't move around this area." In mid-August on a weekend, there was a pick-up request to Nohga Hotel, but even though they were nearby, it took 30 minutes to get there. They couldn't even reach the hotel, so the customer had to move closer. It's close to Kiyomizu-dera, so be careful. If you're going on a weekend, I think it's best to walk from Kiyomizu-Gojo Station. *Weekdays were smooth. I would like to visit regularly and try both lunch and dinner (*´ω`*) Thank you for the meal!

The lunch set with dessert and coffee included was very cost-effective. There were many young staff members, but their service was very polite and pleasant. However, due to the location, only a few bright seats were available, with the rest being somewhat dark even during the day, giving the impression of a store located underground.

I made a reservation for just a seat and visited the restaurant. It was the wife's birthday. The appetizer was bread! And it was all-you-can-eat (apparently). The assorted raw ham was cut on the spot, and it came with different types of bread for fluffy aioli, liver paste (apricot jam), and stewed hormone (actually has a fancy name). The Tanba sparkling wine was also delicious. The food was served quickly, and the service was very pleasant. There is also a glass-walled terrace, creating a calm atmosphere. We also made a reservation for the rooftop bar on the spot. The prices are reasonable. Located on the hotel's basement floor, it is easy to enjoy for both couples and families. The rooftop bar was also a fantastic space. Definitely recommended for anniversaries!

It is located a short walk from Keihan Kiyomizu Gojo Station. I visited around 4:00 PM, so the restaurant was empty. When we ordered two types of pasta, they kindly served them half and half for two people and reduced the number of ham gratin croquettes from 8 to 4 because "8 is too much." The prices were also reasonable. On the way back, we stopped by the bakery next to the restaurant, and their pretzels were delicious. Every dish was tasty, the staff were kind, so I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Lunch course for 2 people. ¥8160. The customer service at this restaurant is exceptional. When we arrived, all staff members greeted us with a "hello" from the open kitchen. When we left, they all thanked us with a smile. It may sound basic, but it creates a pleasant atmosphere. The explanations of the lunch course and the dishes were thorough, and the service was attentive throughout. Of course, the food was also outstanding. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Located in NOHGA HOTEL in Kyoto, CICON is an Italian restaurant that offers a sophisticated atmosphere and a wide range of dishes using carefully selected local Kyoto and nationwide ingredients. The Iberico sausage and potato salad with smoked egg are perfect to start with, accompanied by a glass of red wine. The Shizuoka mushroom carpaccio is fresh and flavorful, while the Kyoto eggplant grill with balsamic sauce is deliciously rich. For the main course, the Kyoto duck roast with red wine teriyaki sauce is tender and tasty. The meal ends with a satisfying plate of spring vegetables and anchovy butter spaghetti. Afterwards, enjoy a drink at the rooftop bar with a stunning view of Kyoto's night scenery. It was truly a wonderful evening.

If you go at 11:30 on a regular day, you can get the terrace seats first! They provide shade from the sun and have insect repellent, so it's very comfortable. The fruit salad was stylish and delicious. The pasta had lots of vegetables and is perfect for women.

I visited for lunch and had a course meal of appetizer, pasta, main dish, and dessert. The restaurant is spacious with indoor and terrace seating, and I chose to sit on the terrace this time. There was plenty of greenery, creating a pleasant environment, although it might get a bit hot when the sun is strong. The food was delicious, and the staff's service was friendly and not too formal, making the experience enjoyable.

This is a rooftop bar on top of a hotel. I went there for the first time. It's so stylish! There are seats arranged around a fire pit, as well as a standing area around the bar counter. The seats around the fire pit and the rooftop bar offer a great view of Kyoto's night scenery. Even though the seats around the fire pit are arranged in a way that you might end up sharing with others, it didn't bother me at all because of the dim lighting and cozy atmosphere. Everyone seemed to be immersed in their own space. The atmosphere is great, so I highly recommend it.

I used it for a friend's birthday~! The first thing that came out, Jamón Serrano? Prosciutto? on bread and the pistachio dessert at the end were especially delicious^ ^ I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, so I often use it♡

I visited in the morning! I was wondering if I could eat as much bread as I wanted from the morning, but I had no problem eating it all up! lol I really love the sugar toast here!! The popular breads tend to run out quickly, but they don't bake them frequently, so it's important to go at the right time. If you go late, there might not be popular items available sometimes.

I visited the restaurant at 7:30 on Saturday morning and ordered an omelette. I chose unlimited bread and drinks, and while I was enjoying them, a salad arrived. The salad was delicious, with a combination of fruits and cheese. Then came the omelette. It was a long time since I had such a delicious omelette. As someone who loves tomatoes, I particularly enjoyed it with sautéed tomatoes. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Stylish design hotel "Nohga Hotel Shimizu Kyoto" has an Italian restaurant called "Shikon" as its main dining option. The hotel's breakfast is served here. The restaurant features an open kitchen and has a chic atmosphere with both table and counter seating. For breakfast, guests can choose from five different plates, each served with a salad: - Scrambled eggs - Eggs Benedict - Omelette - Croque-madame - Shikon salad plate Bread, soup, and drinks are available buffet-style. The bread is from the hotel's bakery shop, offering a variety including brioche, focaccia, sugar-coated cube bread, and British-style mini loaves. However, it was disappointing that there were no croissants or baguettes. I chose the Shikon salad plate, which was healthy and perfect for those with a light appetite in the morning. The salad contained 15 different ingredients with a yogurt and balsamic dressing, served generously on a large plate with onions, beets, herbs, grapefruit, kiwi, walnuts, olives, cottage cheese, and more. My family ordered the scrambled eggs, which unfortunately were served cold. When we informed the staff, they promptly made a fresh batch. Overall, with better temperature control, I believe this breakfast experience would be quite memorable.
