I visited Kama Meshi to Sumi to Sake Yamakura. This time, we opted for the all-you-can-drink course. It was convenient to order using the QR code without having to call a waiter every time. The Kama Meshi served at the end was also delicious. I forgot to take a photo though.

I was surprised by the variety of kamameshi dishes available! All the dishes were delicious. There were three of us and with alcohol, it cost about 5000 yen per person. The location is convenient and easy to access. If they had slightly larger table seats, we could have relaxed more.

A friend highly recommended a pot rice izakaya that we all went to together! We had a great time chatting and eating. The beef toro and ikura pot rice was incredibly delicious! The other dishes were also tasty, and the atmosphere was very calming. We ordered so much that we were really full, but we still managed to finish dessert. We will definitely go again with everyone! I checked the menu on Tabelog and found a place where you can eat at night. They don't have set meals, but they do have a set meal with kamameshi. However, if you want to order just the kamameshi, be prepared to wait 30 minutes. It's more like a dish to end your drinking session. I ended up ordering the fried chicken and vegetable platter, which was very filling. The vegetables were delicious and the fried chicken was cooked perfectly. Overall, the quality was high, as expected from a chicken specialty restaurant. The menu items are meant for two or more people, so the cost-performance ratio is not great for solo diners. It might be a good option for a date or group outing.

We visited "Kamameshi to Sumi to Sake Yamakura," where you can enjoy authentic kamameshi cooked with carefully selected broth. The exterior looks like a typical casual izakaya with red lanterns, but as advertised on the outdoor sign, it is a place known for serving authentic kamameshi. The drink menu, as shown in the photo, offers a variety of options, with a focus on sake, including daily recommendations. The food menu, which I forgot to take a photo of, includes separate menus for "takeout kamameshi" and "set meals." It's clear that they are emphasizing their kamameshi. Additionally, they offer set meals even during the evening, which is a great help for single salarymen living alone. The appetizer was a rustic smashed cucumber dish. It has a rough charm with a hand-torn appearance, which oddly creates a warm and cozy atmosphere, and it tastes delicious. In the beginning, we ordered a speedy menu item, a miso-marinated cheese dish, and a dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet) in quick succession. Overall, the flavors were rich but delicious♡ I was happy to have a tasty miso soup for lunch♡ The lunch I chose that day was the grilled chicken tenderloin set for ¥980. The grilled chicken tenderloin came with onions and shiitake mushrooms in a sweet sauce. It was different from what I had imagined, but it was super delicious♡ Also, at this restaurant, whether you choose white rice or mixed rice, it's the same price, and you can even get a large serving for free! I chose the mixed rice with a smaller portion, as I have decided to try not to waste food from now on. The staff at this restaurant is skilled at serving rice. They delicately served the mixed rice in small tea cups. The side dish was chilled tofu with sesame oil, sweet soy sauce, and green onions, which I really liked♡ It was a regular weekday lunch, but I was extremely pleased with it. It felt like I had finally found a truly delicious lunch after a long time♡ The customers sitting at the counter kept ordering the fried chicken set, always with a large serving of white rice. I see, so fried chicken goes well with white rice, not mixed rice. Next time, I want to try the fried chicken set or the simmered fish set at this restaurant. While sitting at the counter, I saw the staff making burdock root stir-fry, and it looked incredibly delicious♡ Ah, I truly had a satisfying lunch after a long time. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The boiled rice was delicious! The sashimi in the sashimi set meal was thickly sliced yellowtail, thinly sliced sea bream, and octopus. The tofu dish had sesame oil on it, which was unusual but very tasty, making me want to try making it at home. The vegetable side dish was also delicious.

Visited the restaurant at 8:00 pm with a reservation. It was a weekday and not too crowded, so it seemed like it would have been okay even without a reservation. There were many types of kamameshi, making it difficult to choose, but I ended up selecting the fish and chicken at the recommendation of the staff. The chicken kamameshi was a bit rich as it was a risotto style. The salmon and ikura were refreshing, but it's best to eat them before they cool down! We chatted and didn't make much progress with the carbs, so I regretted it a bit later... but it was still delicious. The single dishes and plates were beautiful and tasty. The Inca no Mezame fried potatoes were just regular fries, which was a bit surprising. The shirako ponzu was amazing as it's a seasonal item! It made me crave sake. I usually drink white wine, but they didn't have any, so I ended up toasting with highballs all night, haha.

After drinking until morning, I decided to go for a rice dish as a final meal! I visited this place for that reason. I thought ordering two pots of rice might be too much, but I didn't want to wait so I ordered both at once. Surprisingly, I was able to eat them easily. I enjoyed both the rich sukiyaki-style and the refreshing sea bream flavors, and I was very satisfied. While waiting for the rice dishes, I had some duck loin. The meat was full of flavor and made me feel happy. The hot tofu had ingredients like shiitake mushrooms and green onions, and the sweetness of the tofu and the vegetables helped heal my body which was soaked in alcohol from the inside out. In Namba, there is a specialty restaurant for kama-meshi (kettle rice). They offer a whopping 30 different varieties of kama-meshi! I wanted to try them all, but this time I only had two. The kama-meshi... was incredibly delicious!! The other menu items were also carefully crafted and all tasted great. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also nice and highly recommended!

I think it's a good idea to make a reservation. The sukiyaki kamameshi is very delicious. When two people go, two kamameshi and a mix of appetizers are enough to satisfy your appetite, maybe even enough to go for ramen afterwards. They have a wide variety of sake. There were also group customers.

The shop is located in a narrow alley near the station from Hips. The menu is typical of a general izakaya, with a lot of chicken dishes. We ordered a sashimi platter, potato fries, beef sukiyaki kamameshi, and seared tuna, along with four drinks, totaling 7400 yen. It felt a bit pricey, but better than chain restaurants. The variety of kamameshi was interesting. Other menu items were just average. The sashimi slices were too thick and difficult to eat. Personally, I found it uncomfortable when the staff wore rubber gloves to take our orders.
