This is my third time visiting this place. The yakisoba and okonomiyaki are not delicious, but the takoyaki is still okay. Unfortunately, this time I had the worst experience with two young male staff members. They were very rough in handling the plates and glasses, making a loud noise every time they put them down. They took my order normally, but their attitude was careless. I ordered a highball at first, and when I ordered a second one, they brought it in a different glass and claimed it was still a highball, even though it was almost colorless. I asked them to make it stronger, but it was still just a slightly darker color, and it tasted like the previous drink. It was obvious that they were trying to deceive me. The service was terrible, and it seemed like there was no responsible manager overseeing the staff. It was disappointing to see the lack of proper training for the staff, including leaving disinfectant spray lying around on the tables. They really need to improve the education and management of their staff.

Nishi-Ohashi◇Takoyaki◇[Nishi-ku Shimmachi 1-chome] At the intersection of Nagahori-dori and Naniwa-suji (Nishi-Ohashi), head north at the first traffic light, turn east, and it's on the right corner of the first alley [Jumbo Sake Bar Shimmachi 1-chome Main Store]. After having a beer in Horie with my partner, we walked north on Nagahori-dori. Since we still had some room in our stomachs, we decided to buy takoyaki on the way home (the shop also has an eat-in option). We bought a set of 12 large takoyaki for 550 yen, and arrived home in 5 minutes. When we opened the lid, they were a bit soggy, but still piping hot inside. We poured a glass of black fog over ice in a tin cup, and enjoyed the takoyaki covered in bonito flakes. I ate 8 pieces, while my partner had 4. Our daughter got married half a year ago, and now that it's just the two of us, we no longer make our own okonomiyaki. Today I had lunch here. I stopped by on my way back from shopping at the supermarket to have lunch. I realized that I've only had okonomiyaki about 4 times since coming to Osaka. I've been here before and I remember it being quick and easy to drink here. This time, there was no energetic call to attract customers, but the food was served quickly, in about 5 minutes. The pork okonomiyaki was hot and the pork slices were crispy and delicious. The rich sauce and mayonnaise went well with my highball. I also ordered pickled radish, which was crunchy and a good side dish. Overall, the prices are reasonable and it's a good place for a casual lunch and drink. Thank you for the meal!

Well, the day is coming to an end. It's August 29th, which means it's Yakiniku Day. I feel like going out to eat somewhere, but I don't really feel like having Yakiniku alone. I don't feel like suddenly inviting someone either, so I end up eating dinner at the usual restaurant as usual. My stomach is full, so it's time to head back to base camp. As I walk towards the station, I feel like making a detour somewhere. I couldn't think of any nearby places to stop by, but I ended up spontaneously entering this somewhat shady-looking restaurant that had recently opened in this fancy area. The atmosphere inside the casual and simple restaurant felt a bit old-fashioned, but for some reason, I didn't hesitate to go in that day. I decided to sit in the eat-in area, where they were also selling take-out snacks. I wanted something warm to eat, so I ordered 9 takoyaki balls (430 yen) and a lemon highball (230 yen). The staff member who took my order was very polite and kind. While waiting, I enjoyed the J-pop music playing in the background and the lively conversation of nearby salarymen customers. The highball and takoyaki arrived quickly, and I started to enjoy them. The lemon highball had a strong sour taste, perfect to drink after eating takoyaki. Now, let's try the takoyaki that I love so much. They were not too hot, easy to eat, and had a decent seasoning. As I ate, I couldn't help but think about the significant differences in taste between different restaurants, even though they use similar ingredients. It's quite mysterious, isn't it? I finished the takoyaki in one go, feeling like I might have eaten too much. I made sure not to linger any longer and headed back to base camp, avoiding the bright lights along the way.

Today I had lunch here. On my way back from shopping, I heard someone shouting from somewhere. I thought it was an emergency, but it turned out to be the call of the takoyaki restaurant nearby. The person was calling out loudly, "Come try our delicious takoyaki!" Intrigued by the voice, I decided to go in. I ordered a cup of draft beer and pork yakisoba, and quickly finished my meal. The yakisoba had a thick, sweet sauce which was a bit too rich for my taste. I felt like I might end up ordering another beer if I stayed longer, so I left. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the pork yakisoba. Thank you for the meal!

I wanted to eat okonomiyaki, so I headed to Shinsaibashi. The restaurant I had in mind was closed for Saturday lunch. But wait, there's a new place that just opened up here. They have seating available. Alright, let's try this place! They have a 500 yen lunch set! Even though I wanted to eat okonomiyaki, they had my favorite yakisoba on the menu! I was intrigued. The new restaurant had a fresh atmosphere, so I decided to go with the yakisoba. Surprisingly, they offered a free upgrade to a large portion. It also came with miso soup and rice, with the option for a free upgrade to a large portion of rice as well. However, being from Kansai, I'm not a fan of mixing okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and rice, so I opted for the large portion of yakisoba with miso soup instead. The previous customers were a father and his elementary school-aged son, who was eagerly devouring his meal. He seemed to want a rice refill, but unfortunately, they only offered a large portion from the start and no refills. Alternatively, they had an option for all-you-can-eat rice and miso soup for an additional 180 yen. On Saturdays for lunch, many children come to buy takoyaki. It's impressive to see this new place open right in front of the okonomiyaki shop, and it might be convenient for the nearby vocational school students. After a while, the large portion of yakisoba arrived. Hmm, there seems to be a lot of noodles. Did they mix it up with the pork by mistake? The sauce had a strong acidity, which was a bit different from what I'm used to, as I prefer a sweeter flavor. Nevertheless, I finished it all without leaving anything behind.

They raised the prices and it's not worth it. The sauce is too expensive! The miso soup is watery! It takes too long!

The food was delicious and the service was great. I highly recommend this restaurant.
