Today I felt like having sushi... It's nice to have a sushi restaurant in town where you can walk in without a reservation, especially for lunch. I ordered a nigiri set. The rice was small and just how I like it. The fish was quite thick. It came with miso soup. I ate it all up happily. It was delicious.

I visited Nifuru Sushi for my second stop on the sushi restaurant ladder. Since it was my second stop, I decided to have a light meal, ordering medium-sized sushi and red miso soup, as well as Tanaka Roku Go. The restaurant has an old-fashioned feel, and they served tamago as an appetizer, which was less sweet than what I am used to in Fukuoka. The restaurant is run by the master and his son, who provide warm and friendly service. The sushi pieces were all delicious and generously sized, especially the eel and sea urchin. The red miso soup was a bit thin for my taste. The regular customers were also very friendly, and I had a great time. Even though all the dishes I ordered had been served, I noticed the son was making something else, and he surprised me with a mini sushi as a complimentary treat. It was about the size of a pinky nail, and it was a delightful surprise. This restaurant truly warms the heart, and I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

On this day, my husband had a year-end party at a nice place... so I decided to have sushi too! I visited this sushi restaurant that I had been curious about since I saw it when I visited SORA the other day. The clear menu displayed outside gave me a sense of a local sushi restaurant where I could eat comfortably. They offer continuous service, which is great for a late lunch after work. I arrived around 2:30 PM. When I opened the sliding door, the owner, who was sitting at the counter watching TV in a dimly lit room, turned around. I asked if they were open, and he replied with a smile, "It's okay." I thanked him and took a seat at the counter. The atmosphere brightened up, and the owner brought me a hot towel and tea. I ordered a bottle of beer and the "Jou nigiri" set for 2160 yen. The beer tasted great on an empty stomach. The warmed tamagoyaki (egg omelette) and pickled ginger were served. The tamagoyaki was sweet and bite-sized. The pickled ginger was juicy and delicious. I started with squid and fatty tuna. I love squid, and it was delicious with a decent thickness. The fatty tuna was as expected, very tender. The sea bream and shrimp were also delicious. The sea bream was thick and flavorful. The amberjack was also thick and had a good chewy texture and richness. The considerably large and thick topping turned out to be Tairagi clam when I asked the owner. It was soft and had a satisfying texture. The owner explained, "Some places cut it in half, but we serve it as a whole. It's in season now." Next was the tamago. It was sweet and just to my liking. Lastly, I had a tekka maki (tuna roll) and uni (sea urchin) gunkan. The tekka maki was made with medium fatty tuna, not lean tuna, and it was delicious. The uni was also delicious. After finishing the sushi, a bowl of soup was served. It was a hot soup made from sea bream bones with seaweed, comforting and soothing. The 2000 yen sushi set was made with good quality ingredients, generously sized, and delicious overall. Since I was the only customer, I was able to have various conversations with the kind, gentle, and sincere owner. The warmth and sincerity of the owner were reflected in the sushi as well. I had a pleasant time enjoying my sushi lunch. Thank you for the meal!

I had been curious about this restaurant since I lived in Yahata for a long time! Around 15 years or so! I always had the image that there were always customers at the counter, and it seemed like only regulars could go in... But today, my friend treated me, so we decided to go for sushi! We were lucky that there was a spot at the counter. I ordered a beer and looked at the menu, and then we were served with a delicious appetizer of grilled sea bream skin with grated daikon and ponzu sauce. It was my first time trying it, but it was really delicious! We ordered my favorite sushi items like fatty tuna, shrimp, eel, egg, sea urchin, and they were all so delicious! The atmosphere was great too! It seems like a family-run business, and the husband, wife, and son were all very nice people. Among the sushi restaurants in this area, this one is highly recommended for its relaxed atmosphere! I will definitely go back again!

I came to this area to have some soba noodles, but someone spotted a sushi restaurant nearby. While I also like sushi, I was really craving for gobou tempura that day, so I decided to go in. Let's see how it goes. The calm and friendly owner welcomed us. Apparently, this place has been in business for 39 years.
- Common items: Tamagoyaki (sweet type) and pickled ginger. The tamagoyaki is served warm and reheated, which may suit some people's tastes. The owner ordered the "nigiri set (1510 yen). The rice was typical, and the fish pieces were quite large.
- Tuna: Beautiful red flesh and delicious.
- Squid: Thick and tasty.
- Amberjack
- Sea bream
- Shrimp
- Tamagoyaki
- Grilled eel
- Sea urchin from Karatsu, sweet and delicious.
- Kappa maki
- Miso soup: Rich and tasty broth made from sea bream bones. It's nice to see this quality at this price point when many places use instant soup.
- Chirashi (regular: 910 yen): The rice portion was small. Chopped tamagoyaki was placed on top of the rice. It included squid, shrimp, amberjack, and tuna (although the tuna had some sinew and was better in the nigiri set). Also included cucumber, pickled daikon, and pickled ginger. This was the cheapest chirashi, so maybe that's what you get for the price. Despite the price difference, the nigiri set was the winner this time.
I had a pleasant time chatting with the owner and unexpectedly enjoyed my visit. This is a cozy old-fashioned restaurant.

I went to "Nitsuru Sushi" in Yakuin with my relatives. We started with a delicious sweet and savory simmered sea bream head, which my husband loves. The sushi assortment was also delicious, especially the pink fatty tuna. The miso soup and chawanmushi were also tasty. It's a cozy, unpretentious restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

Around my home, I thoroughly explored a restaurant I had never visited before. Two Tsuru Sushi is located on the first floor of an apartment building. It has a different vibe from high-end restaurants, with a cloudy glass entrance that gives off a vibe of "no entry for first-timers." Despite this, I entered and was greeted by the owner, who seemed to give me a skeptical look. I ordered two servings of hot sake and some sashimi. The owner and I engaged in small talk, and I learned about the history of the area and the restaurant. I enjoyed the food and sake, and when I returned home, I realized I had finished all my sake. I settled for a beer and some more sashimi. Overall, it was a satisfying experience, and I am considering visiting Two Tsuru Sushi again in the future. Good night!
