I visited the Indian restaurant in the Satsunai area of Obihiro City, Hokkaido. Whenever I think of Obihiro, I always think of Indian curry because it's so delicious. Personally, I really like the staff and curry at the Satsunai store. Just a heads up, when you go to Indian, the smell of curry will stick to you, so be careful!笑

This is a curry rice chain that is only available in Obihiro and Tokachi region. The curry at Indian Curry is incredibly delicious! You can only taste this curry at Indian Curry. It may sound obvious, but there are other places that offer similar tasting curry, however, Indian Curry is unmatched in its deliciousness. And it's cheap too! The hamburger curry with cheese, extra large serving, and extremely spicy costs 1,017 yen including tax. It may be over 1,000 yen, but compared to other chain restaurants where it would cost around 1,500 yen, the affordability really stands out. Due to Golden Week, I had to wait in line for an hour to get in. It's incredibly popular. I wish they would open a branch in Sapporo!!

In the midst of Golden Week. I arrived at dinner preparation time, only to find the kitchen in chaos with takeout and dine-in customers. I don't know the total number of people waiting, so it's frustrating not knowing how long it will take. I ordered the "Indian curry with pork cutlet, seafood, spicy, 1,155 yen." As expected, there was no sign of it arriving, and I started to worry if my order had even gone through. I felt relieved that the customer who entered just before me hadn't been served yet. After waiting for 30 minutes, the food finally arrived. The pork cutlet was crispy and juicy, with a generous amount of seafood mixed in the curry sauce. The scallops and shrimp had a fantastic flavor and texture, not just mere side ingredients. The Indian curry was addictive, with depth, umami, and warmth, a signature dish of Obihiro. It's hit or miss, but my seat was right next to the cashier, so it was a bit unsettling with people constantly coming and going. Well, that's how it goes. When in Obihiro, I think trying the Indian curry is a must, even if it means skipping the pork bowl.

I was surprised that when you order something, they hand you a pot. I was expecting them to put it in a container for takeout. It seems like locals bring their own pots and just buy the curry. I ordered the seafood curry. It came out quickly after ordering. It had a lot of ingredients. You can adjust the spiciness, so I didn't make it too spicy. If it's not spicy enough, you can add a spicy sauce like chili oil. It was pretty tasty. Next time, I might try the most popular dish.

I was wrong before. I used to make fun of the idea of going all the way to Obihiro just for Indian curry without even trying it. But last summer, a friend strongly recommended it to me, so I reluctantly went and tried it. And I completely fell in love with the rich flavor. Even on this day, when I was sightseeing a little away from Obihiro, I returned to Obihiro to have the authentic Indian curry once again. It goes well with the juicy hamburger. It's not a special taste, but on weekends, my body naturally craves it. It's a mysteriously delicious curry. When it comes to Obihiro, we decided to try "Indian" curry. The parking lot was spacious and easy to park. The interior of the restaurant only had counter seats. Customers kept coming in one after another, and there were even customers bringing their own pots for takeout curry. Despite this, the staff's quick response kept things running smoothly, and I thought the turnover was very good. They had Indian curry, vegetable curry, and basic curry on the menu. There were plenty of toppings to choose from, and you could also choose the level of spiciness. I ordered chicken as a topping for the Indian curry. I asked for a small amount of rice. Even if you ask for less rice, the price remains the same. I chose the spiciness level as "medium," and it had a slight spicy kick to it. The curry was thick and rich.

In mid-July 2022, for lunch. Today, I stayed in Kushiro after departing from Asahikawa. Usually, I take the route towards Kitami, but this time I decided to go through Obihiro for lunch. So, I visited this place in Obihiro that was once featured on TV as a local chain restaurant and is rumored to be Obihiro's soul food. I arrived around 12:30 pm and managed to slip into one of the two vacant seats at the counter. It was right at lunchtime, so it was quite busy. I felt a bit sorry for coming just for fun. But as I was eating, the place quickly filled up, and a few take-out customers also came in, showing how popular it is. I ordered the Indian spicy curry. It seemed like they blend the curry for each order and warm it up, so it took a bit of time for the curry to arrive. The curry covered the entire plate of rice, looking very appetizing. When I tried it, it was a salty type of curry with a good beef flavor. It was thick and gooey, perfect for when you want something junky. I had to be careful not to drink it like a smoothie because it goes down so easily. There were Fukujinzuke, red pickled ginger, and some green pickles on the table, and I was served Fukujinzuke and green pickles with my curry. These are essential for curry, so it was nice to be able to help myself. The spiciness was at a medium level for me, as it was labeled as spicy, so I added some hot oil from the table to make it just right. I enjoyed the curry like a drink, and before I knew it, I had finished. It wasn't particularly spicy, but it had a lingering deliciousness, a comforting taste that left me feeling satisfied. It's a nice curry place that has a good local feel. If the timing is right, I'd like to try other Indian curries as well.

I am a fan of "Achi" (^-^), but I think that the reason why CoCo Ichibanya was driven out of Tokachi is because of Indian curry! Overall, the curry flavor is good! This is Indian Curry Shop Sapporo Sapporo store. On this day, it was New Year's Eve and I had a lot of errands to run, so before I knew it, it was already this late. Not many stores are open on this day, but our strong ally, Indian Curry Shop, is open. It's great that they are open even on New Year's Eve! The parking lot in the back has become spacious and impressive. This way, you can park without having to wait. The restaurant is bustling with customers, and the staff is working very hard. Well, luckily I managed to get a seat. However, the Indian curry roux is sold out... what? It's my first time experiencing this. If the restaurant is full from the opening, does it often happen? It seems that when it gets close to 3 pm, such things can happen. Also, taking out a pot for 4-5 people is a good idea when it's crowded. They still have the basic roux and vegetable curry roux available. I'll go with the Chicken Curry Medium Spicy for 637 yen. It arrived before the person who ordered the pork cutlet curry. When it's busy, it's best to go with something other than the cutlet. It's been a while since I ordered the Chicken Curry, but I don't remember the chicken being so chunky. Let's dig in. It's delicious as always... this slightly salty and rich roux, it's definitely Indian Curry Shop. The chicken is tender. The roux today feels quite thick, stronger than other stores, I feel. I also received a lot of green pickles. Ah, it was delicious. Indian Curry always hits the spot when I'm hungry. Leaving the restaurant with a satisfied face, Indian Curry Shop was the perfect way to end the year. Thank you for the meal.

Indian curry is one of the soul foods of Tokachi! I went to an Indian restaurant for the first time in a while and had Indian curry with half rice. It was Indian curry, not necessarily delicious or not delicious, just Indian curry. In my opinion, every restaurant is like they are in preparation to go to Indian curry. It's a good thing!

Despite it being after 4 pm, the restaurant was crowded with many customers getting takeout orders. However, thanks to the efficient young male staff member, we were able to be seated without waiting. The small restaurant has only 16 seats at the counter. The "Indian Spicy Shrimp" dish was delicious with lots of plump shrimp. Truly a soul food from Tokachi!

Recently, I was feeling a bit disappointed with Indian curry, so a friend suggested trying vegetable curry. I tried it right away and the result was no stomach ache at all. This time, the vegetable curry had plenty of shrimp and was delicious!

I finished my morning work early, so I'm going to stop by Indian in Satsunai for a bit (it's almost in Obihiro city, though). I splurged and ordered the "Hamburger Curry" (￣▽￣) I chose the "spicy" level. The price is 649 yen... so cheap, right? It's ready in about 5 minutes. So, let's dig in (^^)/ Mmm, the curry sauce is thick and delicious. The hamburger is like a commercial one, but I don't mind (lol). I ordered the spicy pork cutlet curry for 704 yen including tax. It only took 10 minutes for the food to be served. Watching the Indian chefs work is truly impressive, their rhythm is like art! The curry sauce seemed thicker and more abundant than usual. It's almost like Yamakoya, haha. The curry sauce was so rich that you couldn't see the cutlet at all. They also served plenty of pickles. The hot cutlet was easy to eat and paired perfectly with the curry sauce. It was so delicious! The rice was also piping hot, and I ate it eagerly. The lingering spiciness and crispy cutlet combination truly makes this curry the prince of curries! Whenever I come to Obihiro, I always want to eat Indian Curry. It's just so delicious and my favorite curry. The staff here were also very friendly and provided great service. This place has become one of my go-to spots. Thank you for the meal!

When I come to Obihiro, I want to eat Indian curry at the same level as Butadon. I stayed at Tokachigawa Onsen for several nights, so I stopped by this Satsunai branch, the closest from there, for lunch. It was almost full as I arrived during lunchtime. However, the turnover is fast, so customers come and go constantly. I went for the reliable Indian Katsu. I feel nostalgic about the time when I ordered a regular curry without knowing anything. It took about 5 minutes to wait. The long-awaited Indian Katsu arrived. I like these small-cut katsu pieces, which are now easier to eat. The curry sauce is also amazing. I love it many times more than that national chain curry restaurant. During trips, I tend to overeat everything, so this time I went for a regular size, but if I were eating it during a weekday workday, I would want to have a large serving of this curry. I envy the people in Obihiro who can eat this whenever they want. Thank you for the meal.
