There was no seating inside, so people were eating in front of the shop, which looked delicious and caught my interest. I visited on a weekday afternoon and there wasn't much of a line. I ordered the Brulee Millefeuille, a popular item. They fill the custard after you order, so there is a bit of a wait, but the crispy pastry was enjoyable and delicious. It had plenty of sweet cream inside, and the contrast with the caramelized sugar was good. It was quite large, so my friend and I shared one.

It is not an exaggeration to say that this shop in Umeda always has a line on weekends and holidays. I always wondered what kind of shop it was and passed by, but when I passed by on Thursday and it was empty, I decided to go in. It is located between Hankyu Department Store and HEP, near a small lottery ticket booth. The specialty is the Brulee Millefeuille, which I ordered. There were about 5 groups of customers ahead of me. It takes about 15 minutes to be ready. There are no tables or chairs, and the interior is small, so it seems tough on hot days or rainy days... Now, about the taste, it is indeed delicious. The top is caramelized, giving a crispy texture that pairs well with the custard. I also bought a set of sweets for gifts, and it was enjoyable. Thank you for the meal!!

While shopping in Umeda, I came across a small shop with a little line... Oh, this is the one I saw on Instagram. It was a cute little shop that sells triangular hand-held mille-feuille. I ordered a glass mille-feuille, which allows you to choose two types of ice cream for ¥1000. I think the ice cream flavors were chocolate and blueberry (not sure). My partner got milk and caramel. The mille-feuille was filled with plenty of custard and the ice cream was rich and delicious. The custard was not too sweet, making it perfect for the hot summer without feeling heavy. It was worth the price for the generous amount of custard and rich ice cream. We also tried the vanilla and tropical black tea, which had unique flavors. It was a delightful meal.

It kept appearing on Instagram, so I was curious and decided to try it out! The interior of the shop is compact. I didn't know what to order, so I went with the recommended limited edition mille-feuille. It was priced at around 1500 yen, which is quite expensive. It took about 10 minutes from ordering to receiving the dessert. Overall, it was sweet. The top half was delicious, but the bottom half with only custard was too rich for me, a sweet tooth, so I left it uneaten. Well, I tried it once, so it's okay. Thank you for the meal! ^_^

Lemon cake for ¥399 and Earl Grey financiers for ¥306. The total came to ¥760. The lemon cake had a nice tangy flavor and was quite delicious. It's a bit pricey, but I think bringing a cookie tin as a gift to a friend's house would be appreciated.

It was so delicious! This shop is a must-visit every time I go to Osaka. The pie crust was crispy and light, the cream inside was not too heavy, and the combination was really comforting. I felt happy with every bite. ❤️

I had takeout. Strawberry mille-feuille for 1600 yen and creme brulee mille-feuille for 1000 yen. The pie is crispy with plenty of custard cream that oozes out when you eat it. The pie crumbles easily, so be careful when eating in the car. It's perfect for eating on the go. The taste is excellent. It was really delicious.

I ordered a mille-feuille at a popular shop I often see on Instagram and TikTok! It was bigger than I had imagined, with a crispy outer layer and creamy inside, and it was delicious! The portion was quite generous, so sharing is also an option, but be careful when cutting it in half as it tends to crumble and spill out!

I went to the takeout-only Millefeuille shop, Gurunie, around 12 o'clock thinking it might not be too busy. As expected, it was not crowded at lunchtime and there was almost no waiting time. I decided to try their most popular strawberry millefeuille, which was priced at 1600 yen, a bit expensive for this type of product. But it was worth it, like having a parfait. The millefeuille was filled with a generous amount of light custard cream that wasn't too heavy. The puff pastry was crispy and light. If you like pastries, you should definitely try it. I also want to try their creme brulee millefeuille next time.

I didn't realize there was a shop in such a place...!! Across from Hep Five, in the square with the UMEDA sculpture, there was a small hidden gem of a shop. At 1600 yen, it may seem a bit pricey, but the crispy mille-feuille was light and easy to eat without feeling heavy! It had strawberries and strawberry jam inside, and the whipped cream was also light and not too rich. I would love to eat it again!

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while. Everyone kept saying how delicious it was, so I decided to visit. They prepare your order and bake it, so it takes about 15 minutes. The food was really delicious. The pie crust was incredibly crispy, and the custard cream was rich. However, you will definitely get full.

The pie crust was filled with plenty of custard. We visited around 4 o'clock in the rain, so there was no line outside. It took about 10 minutes from ordering to completion, and although the price was around 1500 yen, it was delicious.

I visited during lunchtime, so it wasn't crowded at all and I was able to buy smoothly! I shared a strawberry mille-feuille with my mom, and half was just right for the two of us. The strawberry was so sweet, the custard cream was plentiful but not overwhelming, it was delicious, the pie was packed inside, the surface was caramelized, it was so delicious! I definitely want to eat this again. The Earl Grey tea that I had as a set was also delicious, and the Earl Grey cookies I took home were full of flavor and delicious. I definitely want to eat them again.

Mille-feuille. Freshly made, crispy. Not recommended for takeout, must be eaten immediately upon receiving. Today, I will introduce a shop where you can buy such mille-feuille. "Bakery and Tea Shop grenier" is located near Hankyu and subway Umeda Station, on the 1st floor of Hankyu Grand Building. Despite being on the first floor of the building, the entrance to the shop is outside, opposite Hep Five and Est. Special Strawberry Mille-feuille: topped with strawberries with a sugar content of over 13 degrees, this special strawberry mille-feuille uses special sweet strawberries. The difference between the special and regular strawberry mille-feuille lies in the topping strawberries. I tried the special one, and the large, sweet strawberry disappeared in no time (laughs). It was delicious. There is also a sweet potato mille-feuille available. Since there is no seating, it is for takeout only, but many people eat around the shop. Be careful not to spill anything as there are pigeons wandering around. I managed to eat without spilling anything, so the pigeons gave up and went somewhere else. The crispy pastry is filled with plenty of cream! It's tempting to take a photo, right? I savored every bite. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Grunier's second cherry blossom dessert. The second time is also delicious. It not only looks beautiful but also tastes amazing. The cherry blossom meringue and cherry blossom cream really bring out the flavor of the cherry blossoms. Inside, there is a rich custard cream and matcha cake. The cherry sauce with plenty of cherry blossom paste is irresistible. The pie is really crispy. It seems like they will be serving it until Golden Week, so I might end up going again to satisfy my cherry blossom cravings. When you order a set with a drink, you can get the drink for only 300 yen! The tea they offer is also delicious because they put a lot of effort into it. Today it was Earl Grey.

On April 12, 2023, in Osaka Umeda, I visited a shop called "grenier" located a 3-minute walk from Umeda Station. The name "grenier" means attic, and the shop gave off a small attic-like vibe, making you forget the hustle and bustle of Umeda just a short walk from Osaka Station. The interior was very stylish, like stepping into a fairy tale world. This shop is known for not using any additives and is the only shop in Osaka to serve the popular tea from Lyon, France, called "CHA YUAN." On this day, I tried their strawberry mille-feuille since the popular creme brulee mille-feuille was not available due to egg shortages. The special strawberry mille-feuille priced at ¥1,800 was a large pie with strawberries topping it, each with a sugar content of over 13 degrees. The appearance of the pie was already luxurious, with a crispy pastry and a generous amount of cream. Inside the crispy pastry was a generous amount of custard cream, smooth and velvety. The strawberries added a hint of acidity, balancing out the sweetness perfectly. Despite its size, the crispy pastry made it easy to finish quickly. Overall, it was a delightful treat.

A popular shop where you can enjoy Instagram-worthy mille-feuille, with long lines guaranteed. I happened to pass by and there was no line! Without hesitation, I entered. The name of the shop, "Grunier," translates from French to Japanese as "attic room," and the atmosphere inside is just that - cozy and hidden. The shop is lined with baked goods and teas that all looked delicious. However, my goal that day was the mille-feuille. I resisted temptation and made my way to the counter where the menu was displayed. After paying at the register, I was given a number tag and waited for my order to be completed inside the shop. What I ordered that day: Special Strawberry Mille-Feuille. After battling the temptation of the baked goods inside the shop for a few minutes, it was ready. It looked so beautiful that it almost seemed a waste to eat it. The mille-feuille was larger and more substantial than I had expected, with a satisfying weight to it. First bite of the strawberry - so sweet and juicy. The buttery aroma of the pastry was light and crispy. The custard cream was packed in and had a great texture. It was so delicious that it brought tears to my eyes. If you love sweets, this is a shop you must visit. Thank you for the meal.

The taste was like a mille-feuille. It was difficult to eat on the go because the custard comes out. The waiting time after ordering was long. Even though I didn't line up to order, I waited for about 20-30 minutes. I wish they had told me how long the wait would be at the beginning.

I stopped by a famous restaurant that is often featured on social media as a great place to visit on weekdays. The popular brulee mille-feuille caught my eye, but they had limited quantities of eggs, so I tried their seasonal limited edition item instead! It costs around 1500 yen, so it's a bit pricey, but it's considered the pinnacle of mille-feuille, and it looks super luxurious. I thought the mille-feuille would only have custard inside, but it actually had strawberry sauce, matcha cream, and various other flavors! The cream was incredibly rich, allowing you to enjoy a variety of flavors just from that. While it may be a bit expensive, this mille-feuille offers high-quality flavors and a visually appealing presentation that's perfect for Instagram. I think it's worth trying at least once, and I'd love to try their brulee as well! Thank you for the meal!

A crispy mille-feuille made with pie crust, filled with strawberries or sweet potatoes, and topped with ice cream or custard cream. It's a satisfying and filling treat, perfect for a date or for pie lovers. I recommend sharing it 50/50!
