The restaurant is located on the 21st floor of a large building right across from Namba Shrine along Midosuji Street. I went there with my sister and we made a reservation for a private room the day before. We had the Flower Lunch for 2200 yen, which includes various tofu dishes, clam and bamboo shoot rice, and desserts. The dishes were delicious and we particularly enjoyed the tofu dumplings and clam rice. The private room with a sunken kotatsu table was very comfortable. Overall, we were very satisfied with the meal. In December, I visited the restaurant with my sister and daughter and we had the Kamo River Lunch. The meal included appetizers, steamed egg custard, sashimi, choice of tofu dishes, main course options, soup, rice, pickles, and seasonal dessert. My daughter enjoyed the variety of dishes, especially the fluffy tofu hamburger. The steamed egg custard and tofu dishes helped us warm up on the cold day. It was a relaxing and cozy dining experience.

Today, I participated in a block meeting of the organization I belong to, followed by a social gathering! Instead of the usual casual izakayas, this year we decided to go for a more upscale option at Ume no Hana. There were about 30 participants in total, and the event started with a course meal and all-you-can-drink option! At first, there were a lot of mature conversations, but as soon as the topic of Hanshin Tigers winning came up and with the help of alcohol, things quickly turned into a lively and chaotic atmosphere with everyone mingling and chatting. It was a very delicious and enjoyable time. Well done to the organizer!

You can enjoy a calm meal in a private room. I visited after a long time, but the food was just as delicious as before. I ordered the Kaze Matikusa course for 3600 yen, and for an additional 450 yen, I changed the dessert to a parfait. Most of the dishes were made with tofu, but the seasoning and cooking methods were different, so I could enjoy them without getting bored until the end. I thought there would be only a small amount of beef in the sukiyaki, but there was quite a lot, and I was full before eating dessert. The parfait contained a variety of ingredients and was delicious with a good volume.

On a Sunday afternoon, I visited a restaurant that I had planned to go to after a memorial service, but they were closed. I decided to go to this restaurant without a reservation. The staff seemed a bit short-handed, but being a well-known place, they handled things properly. The restaurant is located on a high floor with a beautiful view. It was a bit disappointing that they didn't offer a lunch course on Sundays. This restaurant mainly focuses on course meals, but ordering individual items was also good. By the way, the toilet paper in the restroom had plum blossom design, which was funny.

I visited this restaurant for lunch on a weekday. It is located on the 21st floor of the Midosuji Grand Tower, between Honmachi and Shinsaibashi. The building faces Midosuji Avenue. To use a private room, you must order a course meal starting from 3,300 yen, so I made a reservation for the weekday-only "Winter Beauty" lunch course. I went with a friend and their small child, and the restaurant provided a cushion and blanket for the child to nap comfortably. The course had a great variety of dishes, and I added 3 pieces of oyster fry for an extra 500 yen. The oysters were so juicy that oyster juice splattered everywhere (laughs). The course included various dishes such as tofu, simmered vegetables, chawanmushi, tofu dumplings, fukufuku tofu with crab sauce, radish mochi with chrysanthemum sauce, fried yuba, yuba soup, red snow crab rice, pickles, and two desserts. I also added a coffee for 210 yen after the meal. The staff's service was excellent, and since we had a private room, we stayed until 3 p.m., enjoying the view of Minami from the room. It was a cozy and comfortable restaurant.

I looked at the menu and felt that all the courses were too much, so I decided to have the "Fuumachisou" kaiseki course, which seemed to have a smaller portion. However, the beef sukiyaki and yuba tempura were heavy, and I couldn't finish them. I took the cooked rice to go. I wish I could have just filled up on the namafu dengaku. The chawanmushi was also delicious, on par with the namafu dengaku. I would like to go back to eat namafu dengaku again.

The coronavirus situation has calmed down a bit, so I had a rare gathering with friends. Due to the pandemic, we requested a private room. We enjoyed trying a variety of dishes little by little. For dessert, we upgraded to a chestnut parfait. It wasn't too sweet, with a more mature taste. Chestnuts are definitely a must-have this time of year. I didn't really understand the Matsutake mushroom rice dish though (laughs).

Located on the top floor of an intelligent building between Honmachi and Shinsaibashi, this tofu cuisine specialty restaurant, Horigotatsu, offers a calm and quiet private room with a lovely view from the window. The refined tofu dishes are served in small portions, each meticulously prepared and delicious. The standout dishes are the miso-grilled tofu and deep-fried tofu, which are exceptional. The level of service from the female staff members and their smiles were also very pleasant. After sampling various dishes, I felt reasonably full, thanks to the healthy tofu cuisine. Three hours later, I found myself feeling hungry again. I was truly satisfied with the atmosphere and the dishes.

When you get off the elevator on the 21st floor of the Midosuji Grand Tower, a beautiful building along Midosuji Avenue, there is a bench where you can wait. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon just after 1 pm without a reservation, and it was not crowded. The entire 21st floor is filled with plum blossoms, with 180 seats available. You will have your temperature checked, sanitize your hands, and take off your shoes before entering. The specialty dish is a course menu called "Haruranman" for 3,900 yen, which includes a dish similar to pulled yuba. If you visit for lunch on a weekday, there is a "Harumijin" set menu for 3,300 yen. Various tofu dishes are served one after another, and my friend particularly enjoyed the tofu gratin. I found all the dishes to be satisfying and delicious. Despite the time being 3 pm, there were still a few groups of customers, but it was almost full by noon. The spacing between tables was quite generous, reducing the risk of infection. The clientele mostly consisted of wealthy-looking ladies, and the atmosphere was calm without loud voices or children, making it enjoyable for a peaceful meal. You can get a 5% discount with the Takashimaya Friends Club, and you can also use GO TO EAT and Gourmet Cards. As a mobile member, you can also receive coupons, including tofu shumai. They didn't mention a point card, so it seems they don't have one. There were souvenirs available, such as nama-fu dango, but I bought them at Takashimaya, where they are also sold. The shibukawa chestnuts were priced at less than 1,000 yen, which is recommended as a souvenir since they are not available at Takashimaya.

I made a reservation for lunch at 11:00. It is located on the 21st floor of Midosuji Grand Tower. The view is very nice. I had the Spring Blossom course × 1. I had originally reserved a different course, but I wanted to try the fried tofu skin, so I chose this course instead. I was so full. I also had a strawberry parfait × 1, which was free with a coupon for Ume no Hana members. Thank you! (^^)

On a regular night, I was invited to a tofu restaurant for the first time. Inside, I thought to myself, "Tofu!? Why tofu?" But I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. We had a private room and the course cost around 4,000 yen. They even offered unlimited yuba? I had no idea such a restaurant existed. It's great for meetings or entertaining guests. As a souvenir, I received their specialty crab shumai. Thank you for the meal!

Visited during lunch on a holiday. Located in a building in the office district, so it's quiet on Sundays. Took the elevator up to the 21st floor. As soon as you get off, there is a lobby. Took off shoes at the entrance and entered the restaurant. Seated at a table in the back. The view from the window is great with a red carpet and beautiful flower arrangements. The traditional Japanese interior is calming. We ordered the tofu kaiseki set which included simmered yuba. Enjoyed the yuba slowly in a hot water pot. Also had sesame tofu, beef sukiyaki, crab gratin, crab dumplings, and steamed egg custard. The crab dumplings here are exceptionally delicious. Ended with matsutake rice and yuba soup. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by Ume no Hana to quickly satisfy my hunger. I was there for the tofu dumplings. Located on the 21st floor of a fancy skyscraper, I definitely stood out in my sneakers and backpack as a solo diner. The attentive service led me to a private room where I enjoyed delicious roasted green tea. I ordered the "tofu dumplings" and "yuba gratin". The yuba gratin was tiny, with shrimp on top and the yuba melting in the cream. It was almost like a shrimp gratin. However, the high-end restaurant had a different taste in the white sauce, elegant and not too heavy. I love the taste of cheap gratin, like stew, but... The tofu dumplings came in a steamer, with two pieces for about 500 yen. The delicate skin on the outside was delicious, and the compressed tofu inside had a unique texture. Dip it in ponzu sauce for a consistently delicious taste. The total came to 1,060 yen (tax included). It was a bit pricey, but I loved the high-end feel and how it was good for my stomach. In my 20s, I was first brought here by the company's older ladies over 20 years ago, and it has been a regular place for me ever since. From casual lunches and dinners to celebrating my father's 60th birthday, hosting the meeting of both families for my wedding, and holding my grandmother's memorial service, this place has been the go-to for all occasions. They always provide a room according to the occasion and the service is courteous, making me feel at ease. The food is also very delicious. My family, relatives, everyone is always pleased. Especially the winter limited edition oyster fry, with its thick and juicy oysters, is incredibly delicious. In my opinion, the oyster fry here is by far the best. On this day, I had the plum blossom lunch and was given a complimentary additional dish of fresh wheat gluten. The steamed egg custard and eel on steamed rice are also delicious. I always leave satisfied.

This is a well-known tofu restaurant. About 20 years ago, I had tofu shumai for the first time and it was amazing. I was taken to "Umenohana" in Honmachi on a Sunday to celebrate passing a qualification exam. It was a fancy place, located on the top floor of the Seiko Osaka Building. The entrance looked like a traditional Japanese inn. The food was high-class kaiseki cuisine, not just tofu dishes. The tofu shumai was delicious as always, and the freshly made yuba (tofu skin) had a rich soybean flavor. The presentation, cleanliness, and service were impeccable. The top person at Umenohana must be very meticulous. If you ever go to Umenohana, this is the kind of place you should go to. It was truly impressive. It's great for a quiet meal or a date. Amidst the virus situation, it might even make you feel like you're staying at a traditional inn. Highly recommended.
