苦楽園
[2018/5/30] Today's meal consisted of vinegar tripe, spicy cod roe, pickled mustard leaves, "Gobu Gobu" tofu, rice, miso soup, vegetable juice, and coffee. Surprisingly, there was no porridge today.

[2017/7/3] The food seems to be following a pattern, with the same menu as before: vinegar tripe, spicy cod roe, simmered tofu, okra, miso soup, chicken mixed rice, and vegetable juice. Still delicious as always.
[2016/8/6] During a business trip to Hakata after a long time, I realized that hotel prices have increased significantly. Ten years ago, you could stay at a decent hotel for 6000 yen, but now even 10000 yen doesn't guarantee much. I usually stay at Dormy Inn unless there are special circumstances, but in Hakata, the accommodation costs are high and breakfast was not satisfying. I decided to stay somewhere else with higher expectations for the meal. The breakfast buffet included both Japanese and Western dishes, but I focused on the Hakata specialties, which are Japanese dishes. Along with Hakata specialties like spicy cod roe, seaweed, Hakata-style pickles, simmered duck, vinegar tripe, and chicken rice, there were white rice, scallop porridge, miso soup, pickled plum, and cold tofu. I may have been a bit greedy, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Hakata specialties. Especially the spicy cod roe and vinegar tripe were delicious. The porridge was also tasty! Overall, switching from Dormy Inn to this hotel was the right decision.
