It had been a while since I met up for drinks in the afternoon, so we decided to go to the reliable and popular Teppan Jinja. The staff were polite, kind, and efficient, making the atmosphere very pleasant. I used to frequent Teppan Jinja when they only had two locations, and I'm glad I came back after a while. Even though it was my first time at this particular branch, by the time we left in the evening, it was almost full and some items were sold out. But everything we tried was delicious, and we enjoyed our drinks. There are so many casual and tasty places like this in Osaka, I truly admire the city.

Everything I ate was delicious! They had a rare onion shochu that was slightly sweet and had a unique taste. I enjoyed watching the food being prepared right in front of me at the counter seat. The restaurant was bustling with many foreign customers. The staff were lively and attentive.

This is a restaurant located across from Don Quijote in Dotonbori, along the river. During this season, the outdoor seating looked very pleasant. I made a same-day reservation and when I arrived, there were many walk-in customers, so there might be a considerable wait time, especially on weekends. The staff were energetic and the service for drinks and food was prompt, so the turnover seemed fast. While munching on the complimentary edamame, the first dish of asparagus wrapped in pork arrived. I had about 15 pieces alone, and the bill came to around 5,000 yen per person, so the cost performance is good. This is my favorite restaurant in the area.

I waited a few minutes to enter the store, but it was worth the wait because the food was delicious. Especially the jumbo shrimp was very succulent and well-prepared. The shrimp bread was also famous, and it had a paste made of shrimp on top of the bread, which was cooked on a hot plate. It's definitely worth trying at least once. Some skewers came with mayonnaise, but I felt that some of them would taste better without it, so it might be a good idea to ask for it to be served on the side when ordering.

I used GO TO to visit. I love Teppan Shrine, which I have visited several times. This was my first time at this branch and also my first time trying the course menu. I couldn't eat the yakisoba on the menu, so I requested to change it to skewers, which they kindly accommodated. I had a Caesar salad with prosciutto, which was delicious. The prosciutto was large and very tasty. The daikon radish with it was a nice palate cleanser. The skewers were served at the right timing. Instead of 8 skewers, they gave me 10, which was great for the group. They really understood what we wanted to eat. Everything was delicious. The steak was cooked rare, just how I like it, with salt, wasabi, garlic, and sauce options. It was tender and amazing. It exceeded my expectations. I had a delicious and happy time. The image of teppanyaki restaurants is often associated with luxury, but this place was quite affordable. It was even better as I visited during my trip to Osaka, enjoying drinks on the terrace overlooking the Dotonbori River. It was our third stop of the night, so we fully enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere. If I have the chance to visit Osaka again, I would love to try the food from the first stop and enjoy it to the fullest.

When you order the chef's choice, they keep serving until you tell them to stop. The kataifi roll was crispy and delicious! I was impressed that they don't grill the skewers over charcoal, but on a hot plate instead!

You can enjoy eating delicious kushikatsu even when you're full. The taste of the batter and the level of frying can vary depending on the restaurant. The sauce and the way of eating also differ. The batter here is sweet, the sauce is slightly spicy, and I think they go well together. It's great to be able to enjoy a taste that doesn't get boring. Some restaurants have a consistently sweet taste which is not suitable for me. I really enjoyed it!

The restaurant has both counter and table seats, and it is located right in the middle of Minami. They serve "grilled skewers" instead of fried ones, and you can stop them whenever you want with the omakase option. The most impressive dish was the "konnyaku with baby fish," which is apparently famous in Kansai but not well-known in Kanto. There are a few branches around Minami, and it's perfect for a casual drink.

Started with "Salad with Prosciutto" and "Sashimi," then dove into a flurry of skewers. Asparagus bacon, shrimp bread, chicken wings, scallops, and nagaimo. The roll-looking dish actually uses horse mackerel instead of rice. When eating the firefly squid skewer, you definitely crave sake (lol). The foie gras baguette and shiitake stuffed with meat were absolutely delicious. Couldn't resist and switched to red wine at this point. Finished with fragrant thick noodle yakisoba and a dessert made with sweet potatoes. Looking back at the pictures, we ate more skewers than we thought (lol). Thank you for the feast!

Teppan Shrine Dotonbori branch. A creative teppanyaki skewer restaurant in Minami. It seemed like a fancy place, but once I went in, they just grilled various creative skewers on a teppan. Very Osaka-style. If you order the chef's choice, you end up eating endlessly. They use olive oil, so it's supposed to be healthy. I wonder if that's true. Osaka people really like this kind of place. There are many female customers.
