Coffee specialty store. They offer four types of single-origin coffee brewed with AeroPress. I asked for the Harmony from Indonesia. It was my first time seeing coffee being brewed with AeroPress. Along with the coffee, they provided a paper detailing the profile of the coffee beans - taste, origin, farm, variety, processing method, etc. I realized there is so much to learn about the coffee I drink every day. The taste profile on the paper guides you in experiencing the flavors. It describes how the taste changes as you drink it. I was impressed by the level of detail. The white interior of the small shop, with the espresso machine and large roaster gleaming in black. The place was constantly busy with people enjoying coffee or buying beans. Even though I could tell they were offering high-quality coffee, I felt like it was a shop for coffee connoisseurs, as I couldn't fully appreciate its value. I wish I had the ability to understand the greatness of it. The black, beautiful, high-quality coffee, the impactful black machines, the people, the entire space - it was a great experience. They also had other menu items like espresso drinks and unique milk brews. Despite feeling a bit lost, I might be willing to try again. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I went to the famous Manly Coffee ☕️ because my friend wanted to go. I had an iced coffee made with Ethiopian milk. It was a hot day, so it tasted even better. The atmosphere felt like Kahlua milk. By the way, my friend bought an AeroPress equipment after this.

Here is a review of a coffee shop called Manly Coffee. The owner, Sunaga-san, is known for popularizing AeroPress in Japan and now she has also become the mother of Milkbrew. Milkbrew is a cold brew coffee made by adding Manly Coffee's beans to milk from Nakajima Farm in Saga. The coffee is named Milkbrew and is said to be delicious. The atmosphere of Manly Coffee is like entering a dungeon through a narrow alley. The first cup I tried was an Ethiopian natural coffee from Kochere brewed with AeroPress. It had a mellow flavor despite the light roast. The second cup I tried was the Milkbrew, which was refreshing and perfect for hot weather. It tasted like coffee milk without the need for sugar. Overall, I recommend this place to coffee lovers, but keep in mind that it is more of a stand rather than a café.

After enjoying curry at Floetan, I wanted to visit this coffee shop next door as well, which is a hidden gem tucked away in an alley. The owner is a prominent figure in the world of AeroPress, having organized the Japan AeroPress Championship and being one of the first to introduce AeroPress to Japan. The interior of the shop is small, clean, and white, exuding a sense of cleanliness. When I arrived, one of the two male customers was being served while the other was seated at the back. I took a seat at a distance from them, waiting for my turn. I sampled the popular Ethiopian coffee in a small cup while waiting. When it was my turn, I ordered a coffee brewed with AeroPress, which was the reason I had come. The Ethiopian coffee was sold out, so the owner suggested a different type of bean that was not on the menu. I agreed, and the owner started preparing the coffee. Just as I was about to move forward to watch the brewing process, a group of four young people entered and crowded around the counter, blocking my view. I couldn't see the owner brewing the coffee at all. After a while, the coffee arrived in a white cup and saucer, shimmering with an amber color. I remembered having a slightly bitter aftertaste when I had AeroPress coffee in the past, but this one was clear and delicious. Every drop was enjoyable, with a light yet full-bodied flavor. I was so impressed that I definitely want to come back to see the brewing process again.

Manly Coffee offers carefully selected coffee beans in a quaint setting in Fukuoka. Located in a narrow alley near the station, this hidden gem is known for its meticulous roasting process using a small roaster. A 100g bag of Brazilian beans costs 750 yen, which is on the higher end compared to our usual purchases. The light roast beans produce a strong aroma, making it a delightful choice for coffee lovers. The French press would probably bring out the best flavors.

Manly Coffee is located on the west side of Nishitetsu Hirao Station, behind the Fukuoka City Measurement Inspection Office. Finding this shop is a bit interesting. There are two entrances, one with a small sign that could be easily missed if you're not careful, located on the narrow alley on the north side. The other entrance doesn't have any signs at all, making you wonder if this is even a road, on the extremely narrow alley on the west side. As you continue down this path, you'll find a shop with a sign featuring a boat logo. The shop's name comes from the owner's memories of Manly in Australia. The owner, Mr. Sunaga, has an impressive career, having been a Black Apron Champion at Starbucks and winning the Roast Masters Championship as part of the Kyushu team. He is also known as the "mother" of AeroPress in Japan, having made significant contributions to the AeroPress community. Despite his remarkable achievements, Mr. Sunaga is kind and gentle. The compact and bright shop features a roasting machine. I tried two types of beans, Rwanda Natural (¥450) and El Salvador Free Washed (¥450), brewed using AeroPress (inverted method). The coffee had a light color and was easy to drink compared to French press. The aroma was strong, and there was no oily feel as some articles suggest with AeroPress. I personally preferred the El Salvador coffee. I visited the shop after an AeroPress workshop, and it was a lively atmosphere with students and the owner. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I'll definitely visit again.

Huh? When you enter the narrow path here, you'll find a cute little shop. The opening hours are usually until 3pm, so I headed there right after lunch. I sat at a small table and waited. I ordered an Ethiopian latte. The female owner here is known for popularizing the AeroPress. The beans are quite light. It's a very light and smooth type, so it's perfect for those who like this style.

My daughter and I went to "MANLY COFFEE" and had muffins. The shop is small with only a few bench seats. We entered from a small side path and turned left at the end to find the shop. They serve AeroPress coffee for 400 yen. The staff recommended my daughter the popular Ethiopian Ilgacheffe Natural, while I chose the Brazil Heinha Farm for its low acidity. The flavors were completely different when we compared them. Since there were no other guests, we enjoyed our coffee on the bench inside the shop.
