I was looking for a place to eat alone at night in Umeda and I came across this casual izakaya. It was cheap and easy to enter, so I enjoyed delicious food while having a drink. The mega jugs were cheap, which made me very happy as a drinker.

"Wara-yaki with pork lunch set for ¥1,188. I was surprised by how fluffy it was when I thought it was okonomiyaki. It was so fluffy that it felt lighter than it looked. It was delicious. I thought I'd try it once, but I'll definitely come back again."

The fluffy texture of the Kyoto-style okonomiyaki comes from incorporating "yamaimo" (Japanese yam). The beef stew is rich in meaty flavor but it's not a main dish, it's perfect as a side dish to enjoy with alcohol. If you haven't tried it before, I highly recommend giving it a try.

It had been a long time since our last drinking party, and we enjoyed it in a slightly pricey but spacious private room. It was a 2-hour time limit and not many people were drinking, so we didn't opt for the all-you-can-drink option. We ordered special okonomiyaki, which was delicious, but looking back, maybe the course menu would have been better considering the price. Nonetheless, the taste was great! Thank you for the meal!

I tried the Warayaki at Umeda. It had a unique texture with yam inside, soft and fluffy. It felt like a firm version of Monjayaki, a mysterious sensation. The Yakisoba my friend ordered was also delicious! It had a mountain of crunchy cabbage, and the Okonomi part with crispy Kyoto-style okonomiyaki dipped in lemon soy sauce was amazing!

It's a bit late, but we finally had our company's New Year's party. It's a company event, but considered a day off. It started with a speech from the president, followed by a lively dinner party. We were so caught up in drinking and chatting that I only managed to take photos at the entrance (on the way back from the after party). 😅

On the third day of the New Year, my family and I went to Umeda in Osaka for a day trip. We were craving okonomiyaki, but the restaurant we had planned to go to was closed. So, we decided to head to Kappa Yokocho for lunch instead. It had been years since we last visited Kappa Yokocho, so it was a fun experience. We found an okonomiyaki restaurant and were quickly seated in a private room, which was great as we could enjoy our meal without being disturbed by others. We soon learned that it was a Kyoto-style okonomiyaki restaurant. We ordered yakisoba with extra pork, mentaiko yakisoba, corn butter, butatama, and waraikaki, and the dishes arrived in less than 5 minutes. The quick service was appreciated, but we had to eat quickly as the hot iron plate was burning the food. The yakisoba had a light seasoning, but we could customize the flavor with the condiments on the table. The highlight of the meal was the waraikaki, which was fluffy and delicious, with a hint of omusoba. Overall, the food was tasty, and the service was polite, making our trip to Osaka a memorable one. Osaka is in Kita, Umeda... around the area between Nakatsu and Hankyu Umeda Station. I visited this restaurant after a while in Nakatsu for lunch. The place had been renovated and looked clean and fresh. I ordered the okonomiyaki set, but the service was quite slow and I felt a bit neglected. When the okonomiyaki finally arrived, it was decent but the overall experience was not great. The rice was good and you could have seconds, but it was hard to get the attention of the staff to order more. Considering the price and location in Umeda, I probably won't go back.

Yamadera with plenty of taro is delicious okonomiyaki Umeda Nishiki Warai. Hi everyone, this is Yamadera! This day, my mouth was in okonomiyaki mode! Or maybe more like sauce mode (laughs). So, I decided to eat okonomiyaki! The restaurant is Nishiki Warai, so let's go! The spacious interior has a cozy semi-private feel. First, I'll start with a Highball for 390 yen! The most popular choice seemed to be the Warai Yaki for 880 yen, so that's what I ordered. While waiting for the okonomiyaki to be ready, let's have some other dishes too! First, the Hellfire Grilled Beef Tendon for 680 yen. It was described as spicy on the menu, but it wasn't that spicy. It was more like a deliciously spicy taste, with very tender meat. Perfect for drinking! I really liked it! Another dish is the Sand Skewer Salt Grilled for 480 yen. The crunchy texture is incredibly delicious! Now, the main dish, Warai Yaki, has arrived! Let's dig in! Wow, it's so fluffy and delicious! I'm sure they use a lot of taro in this. It was so delicious, it's addictive! The Half-Cooked Egg Potato Salad for 480 yen is next. Mixing the half-cooked egg myself to finish the potato salad is delicious, with the sweetness of the potatoes. After eating all this, I was full and very satisfied! Thank you for the meal.

All the menu items are winners! The staff is polite and the prices are reasonable. This place is perfect for everyday dining.

I went on Sunday afternoon! It was lucky that it wasn't crowded! The okonomiyaki with cabbage that children can easily eat is delicious. The cheese okonomiyaki with a refreshing taste is also delicious. I took out the Buta Hirayaki, and only the egg part was delicious. Haha, thank you for the meal.

All the dishes were delicious!! The prices were reasonable too!! The lemon soy sauce okonomiyaki was very tasty!! The location was good and bustling! I want to go eat there again!

I ordered a course with all-you-can-drink option! It was a huge volume and I was full. The yakisoba and okonomiyaki were especially delicious!

Used a private half-room, great atmosphere, and the staff's service was also good.

Worst restaurant ever, always out of stock, no extra plates, who does 2-hour limits these days, making us wait for food and acting all casual about it!
