Recently, there has been an increase in trendy hamburger restaurants like this one. I had been curious about this place for a while, so I finally visited for lunch on a weekday. The staff politely guided me to my seat in the open and airy restaurant, although it was a bit small. This burger joint operates on a full order system, which is quite rare. I ordered a burger with a regular patty, as they were out of the charcoal-infused one. I opted for the Beef Pine Mozzarella Cheese Sauce without the sauce, as the bun itself apparently has enough flavor. Surprisingly, the wait time was short, and my massive burger arrived in just 5 minutes. It was so big! I had to wrap it in the paper provided on the table to eat it without making a mess. The lettuce and tomato were plentiful, and the bun had a satisfying size, thickness, and flavor. Overall, it was just average. The ingredients seemed to be of good quality, but given the increasing number of delicious burger joints, this one didn't stand out to me. The patty was quite hard, probably custom-made from somewhere special. The presentation was great, though, and this burger is definitely Instagram-worthy due to its size. It cost me 1903 yen. The price matches the height of the burger - quite high!

I went to Gakuya Burger in Nishi-Nagahori, Osaka! This place allows you to customize your burger from the patty to the toppings and sauces, which is great. I saw this place on a TV show before and was curious to try it out. My order was a patty made of Inunaki Pork, charcoal buns, grilled pineapple, grilled onions, and wasabi sauce. It was a mix of sweet and spicy flavors. The burger was delicious, especially the juicy Inunaki Pork patty. The combination of blue cheese honey and pineapple was perfect! The wasabi sauce added a nice kick that complemented the sweetness. I really enjoyed it and will definitely go back. If you're in the area, be sure to check it out!

I watched a video by Junya Senoh on YouTube and finally visited a restaurant I had been wanting to go to. When I arrived around 5 pm on Sunday, the restaurant was full. I waited for about 10 minutes before being seated. There were many regular customers, and I could see that the manager and staff were friendly with the customers, talking about burgers. I could feel the manager's passion for cooking. I ordered the "Build Your Own Burger" option with mozzarella cheese, grilled onions, and an extra patty. The most popular sauce was without sauce, and I had a guava drink. The burger was so big that I couldn't eat it in one bite, but every part of it - the buns, patty, and vegetables - was delicious. Maybe it's because of the quality of the ingredients and how it's made, but even though I was full and satisfied, my stomach didn't feel heavy, and I felt hungry again a few hours later. The charcoal buns and bacon that I wanted to try were sold out this time, so I'm thinking of going back for lunch next time.

I visited the famous Gakuyaburger for the first time. They have a system where you can customize your burger, so I chose the basic options with blue cheese and honey added. I've been curious about this shop for a while ♥︎ To cut to the chase, it was incredibly delicious. The original burger with blue honey topping for ¥1,331 was amazing. You can tell by the shine of the bun that it's going to be delicious. I prefer buns that are crispy and chewy rather than fluffy, and the patty was extremely tasty. It's made of 100% dog barking pork, and even though I usually associate patties with beef, this pork patty had no meaty smell at all. It was so delicious. The sweet and salty taste of the blue honey was also irresistible, making it the best burger I've had recently ♥︎ The potatoes had a strong potato flavor and I was completely satisfied ♥︎ I wish I had come earlier. It was incredibly delicious, but during the Obon period, they ran out of buns and had to serve sandwiches instead. The staff kindly informed us that they were offering a special sandwich option for just today and tomorrow. Unfortunately, I couldn't choose the toppings I wanted since the bread had changed (I really wanted bacon, but it wasn't available for the sandwich). I had been looking forward to the black charcoal hamburger all morning and even skipped breakfast to fully enjoy it at this restaurant. So, it was quite disappointing that it turned into a sandwich instead. I felt that some sort of compensation or effort to make the sandwich experience more enjoyable was needed. The seating is only at the counter. When you sit down, you are given an order form to mark your choices for buns, toppings, drinks, etc. I chose the regular bun, cheddar cheese as a topping, and a cola for my drink. There are also sauces like basil and sweet chili, but I opted for no sauce. The base of the hamburger includes crunchy lettuce, tomato, and instead of beef, it features pork from Inunaki Pork, a brand of pork from Osaka. The burger arrives, and it's huge! It also comes with fries. They instructed me to eat it inside the paper bag provided at the seat. I placed the burger in the bag, lightly pressed it down, and took a bite. The lightness of the lettuce and tomato, combined with the pork's flavor, doesn't need sauce to shine. It's not as heavy as beef, making it easy to devour despite its size. I decided to avoid alcohol for the past two weeks, so I'm exploring restaurants where I can go without alcohol. The system allows you to add options to the base Gakuya Burger.
