I tried the recommended cocktails: Forest Dining, Café Mountain, and Orange Brûlée. Each cocktail was complex and unique in flavor. The bartender, who won a prestigious competition in France, created these cocktails. It was a great experience, and I enjoyed chatting with the bartender about his love for sweets and new cocktail techniques. The bar also offers a variety of food options, including a popular Spicy Keema Curry. Overall, it was a delightful experience and I look forward to visiting again.

This time, I visited the "Bar Libre" in Ginza to try the newly released Glenmorangie Forest. I had only tried two types of Glenmorangie before, and when I saw it being taken away right in front of me at a liquor store, I was shocked. So, I desperately searched for a bar where I could try it, and I found this place which had an official tie-up with Glenmorangie, and made a reservation through Tabelog to visit. The entrance of the restaurant had a mysterious Alice in Wonderland feel, and as you descended underground, instead of a jungle atmosphere, it felt cool and refreshing. The interior was designed with a forest theme featuring Glenmorangie Forest, which I thought was tailored for the tie-up, but it turns out the place already had that kind of atmosphere and the tie-up was a result of that. The seating consisted of a few counter seats and small round table seats. Initially, we sat at a table, but later moved to the counter seats to have a better view of the liquor shelf. We spent over 30,000 yen for two people, enjoying various dishes and drinks. The quality of the special cocktails and food items developed for the Forest was high, and the staff were friendly, making the experience enjoyable. I would like to visit this nice place again even outside of the rare whiskey event. I remember the tie-up event was until March 15th, but the Forest whiskey might already be sold out, so it's recommended to contact them in advance if you plan to visit. Despite it being a Tuesday, the surrounding restaurants were fully booked. Curiously, we ended up at this particular restaurant, guided by the staircase leading underground. The concept of the place is described as "a secret jungle hidden beneath Ginza." The dimly lit interior gives off a dense jungle vibe, with starry lights twinkling on the ceiling. The bartender was seen harvesting herbs from the counter, which seemed to be grown under black light. The menu was scan-able via a two-dimensional barcode, offering a wide variety of original cocktails. The focus on fruits in the cocktails might be related to the jungle theme. I ordered the "Mori to Komorebi" (Forest and Sunlight), Bulldog with Japanese pear, and Orange Brulee. The Forest and Sunlight had a vibrant lemongrass scent and a refreshing taste. The Bulldog with Japanese pear was subtly sweet, with a luxurious texture from the pear. The ice with maple leaf garnish was a nice touch. The complimentary nuts, dried fruits, and warm tomato soup were decent. The Orange Brulee, however, had a disappointing texture, resembling overcooked tofu, and the orange flavor was overshadowed by the hardness. Despite the creative presentation, there was room for improvement in terms of taste and execution.

The bar in Ginza has a unique atmosphere even though it was crowded at the counter, so I sat at a table alone. I usually prefer sitting at the counter in bars, but the table seat here is exceptional. It feels like relaxing in a forest. I tried the original cocktail called Cocktail Seven Days on this day. I want to come back and take my time here. It's a great bar.

I visited LIBRE GINZA in Ginza, which recently opened in the Ginza area. The entrance to the shop is located on the basement floor, just off a side street from the Gas Light Street. The concept of the bar is jungle-themed, with plants decorating the high ceilings and shooting stars visible in between. The forest fragrance in the air makes you want to take a deep breath. The menu is accessed by scanning a QR code on your smartphone, and orders are taken verbally. I tried four different original fruit cocktails, all of which were excellent with a perfect balance of fruit flavors. I look forward to observing the bartender's cocktail-making skills at the counter next time.
