A little off the beaten path from Namba, this restaurant offers a variety of unique monjayaki options. I was overwhelmed by the many choices, but decided to start with the Carbonara monjayaki. It looked amazing and tasted even better! I never knew Carbonara monjayaki could be so delicious. The classic mentaiko cheese monjayaki was also a hit. I can't wait to go back!

Monja-yaki restaurant where you cook your own food at the table. There are instructions on how to cook and tips on the table, so you can make monja while referring to them. However, since you do everything by yourself, there may be times when it burns or you make mistakes, so it's important to know how to cook properly and not get too caught up in chatting, but to check the cooking status regularly. The taste is delicious, there are many menu options, and it's a fun place where you can enjoy cooking monja while chatting with everyone.

There is a restaurant where you can enjoy unique variations of monjayaki such as seafood monja and carbonara, as well as teppanyaki with meat and seafood. I don't usually eat monjayaki, but this place offers a wide variety of options including seafood like tuna and salmon, as well as unique Italian monja like margherita and carbonara. I tried the classic mentaiko mochi cheese and the shrimp-filled Ebi Kura Special, both of which were delicious. The staff members are lively and skillfully cook the monjayaki, adding to the fun experience. The mentaiko mochi cheese with the teppan combination and the Ebi Kura Special with plenty of plump shrimp were both tasty. In addition to the delicious monjayaki, they also serve large slices of black wagyu beef loin that the staff skillfully grill and wrap in ponzu sauce. They also offer other menu items like fried chicken and sea grapes with yuzu pepper, as well as abalone with butter soy sauce. There are many options that go well with drinks. The restaurant is lively with many foreign customers, some of whom even exchange handshakes with the staff on their way out and promise to send a direct message later. It's a great place with a lively atmosphere.

Namba, Kaisendon Monja Ebizo 🌟 It seems that a monjayaki restaurant located on the west side of Takashimaya has been open for about a year. As you can see from the last photo, the large lanterns on the wall are quite impressive. We ordered:
- Ebizo Special (1780 yen)
- Mentaiko Mochi Cheese (1450 yen)
- Beef Tendon Curry (1680 yen)
- Salmon and Ikura Parent and Child Plate (1380 yen)
- Fried Chicken (price unknown)
- Seseri Yuzu Pepper (480 yen)
- Okonomiyaki Mix (price unknown)
Monja 3 types:
- Ebizo Special: A monja with whole shrimp and peeled shrimp mixed in. The shrimp broth gives it a deliciously fragrant taste. The shrimp texture is also enjoyable.
- Mentaiko Mochi Cheese: Mainly consisting of mentaiko, mochi, and cheese. A simple combination that never fails in taste.
- Beef Tendon Curry: Unlike the other two, this one has a curry flavor that transitions from Japanese to Western style, making it enjoyable for a change.
Mixed Yaki:
This dish is different from monja as it is grilled and served. It was fluffy with various ingredients and very delicious.
Salmon and Ikura Parent and Child Plate:
Salmon topped with ikura. It's nice to have seafood options alongside monja. It was a refreshing appetizer.
Fried Chicken & Seseri Yuzu Pepper:
These are fried and grilled dishes. We ordered them as snacks. The grilled seseri with yuzu pepper came with bean sprouts, and the spicy yet refreshing flavor made it easy to eat and went great with drinks.
While the culture of monjayaki is not common in Kansai, it was fun and refreshing to eat while grilling with a spatula. Not only the appearance but also the broth used in the monja here is carefully selected, making it very delicious. They also offer a "Dumbbell Jug" that is even better than the "Mega Jug" for a great deal on drinks. The atmosphere is suitable for large groups or dates, and it's a great place to enjoy monjayaki that is not commonly found in Kansai.
*Note: When I visited, I took a lot of photos, and the manager realized I was an Instagrammer (lol). As a result, I received a bonus. If you mention "I saw this post" when you visit and follow the official account, you can get a free drink other than the Dumbbell size until the end of May. Please take advantage of this offer.

I tried Monja for the first time! I had seafood monja and mentaiko mochi cheese monja, and they were both delicious! The staff making it for us was also appreciated. However, the menu seemed a bit limited. Many items were sold out. I wish there were more snack options available. Also, maybe I stayed too long, but when I asked if I could take home the remaining (only had a bite) dish, I was surprised when they took it away. I thought it was for the table next to us that was almost finished... It was great that smoking was allowed at the table. The cost performance was good, so I would like to come back again.

Today, I went out for drinks with my friend who I haven't seen in a while. When I asked for her preference, she said she was open to any food and preferred a location near Namba. So, I suggested a place that I've been curious about and we headed to Kaizosan. This restaurant is known for its unique Monjayaki, which is not very common in Osaka. We arrived around 6:30 pm and were greeted by a friendly male staff member. The first floor was almost full, so we were seated on the second floor where there was only one other group of two. We ordered using the tablet provided at the table. We started with a toast with beer and then proceeded to order the following items:
[Food]
- Live Kuruma Ebi (Japanese Tiger Prawn) 1 piece for 418 yen
- Garlic Foil 418 yen
- Seseri (chicken neck) with Yuzu Pepper 638 yen
- Monjayaki Kaizosan Special 1958 yen
[Drinks]
- Draft Beer 495 yen
- Shochu Highball Plain in a dumbbell-shaped glass 660 yen
- Kaga Bo Hoji Tea Highball in a dumbbell-shaped glass 748 yen
- Live Kuruma Ebi: The staff peeled the live prawn in front of us, and it was served with an amazing texture and flavor.
- Garlic Foil: Cooked in sesame oil right in front of us, it was delicious.
- Seseri with Yuzu Pepper: A request from my friend, it was a bit salty but paired well with drinks.
- Monjayaki Kaizosan Special: The ingredients included cabbage, tempura crumbs, whole prawns, flying fish roe, kaiware sprouts, and green seaweed. It was served in a wooden box and cooked by the staff initially. The prawns were grilled separately and added to the Monjayaki. The mix of flavors and textures was delightful.
Monjayaki goes well with alcohol and is a nice change from the usual. It was a great dining experience.

The staff was friendly and funny, and the unique dishes like monjayaki were delicious. They offer a service where you get a 100 yen discount if you cook the monjayaki yourself. I highly recommend trying the mentaiko cheese monjayaki.
