It is a Kyoto-originated teppanyaki chain restaurant near my house, and I regularly visit because the food is delicious. The okonomiyaki and yakisoba are of course delicious, but I also frequently order the steak and oysters, which are tasty. The staff are efficient and provide excellent service, making it a pleasant dining experience.

I had cheese okonomiyaki, sobameshi, and horumon kimchi yaki at this restaurant! The taste was very delicious and the manager was kind and wonderful! However, the service from the part-time female staff was poor, so that's why I'm giving this rating. If asked if I would like to go again, I would say yes! Good manager service! Delicious cheese okonomiyaki!

I was in Sakai City, Chuo Ward♪ Attracted by the spacious parking lot, I felt like having teppanyaki (*´艸`*)♪ They led us to a sunken kotatsu-style seating area♪ It's spacious! It's a seat for 6 people♪ ◼️Harami steak 1280 yen excluding tax ◼️Rice 180 yen Harami steak appeared on the hot plate (*´艸`*)キャッ♪ The harami steak is thick! Here we go, Kininarai♪ This time, we went to a place on the outskirts of Sakai City. I ordered the limited-time menu item that caught my eye last time at a different store, the "Octopus Salt Garlic Yakisoba (1,058 yen)." It was packed with garlic, from garlic sprouts to garlic chips, even in the sauce. However, I was a bit disappointed by the appearance of the octopus... It was placed on top, but it felt like there wasn't much of it. Nonetheless, the taste was great, so I was satisfied to a certain extent. Thanks to the garlic power, I'll keep going strong even after eating♪ (laughs)

I tried a special kind of okonomiyaki called "Kyoten-yaki" for the first time. It was topped with plenty of kaiware (radish sprouts). The texture was refreshing, with a crispy outside and fluffy inside. It was very delicious! Instead of sauce, I tried it with lemon soy sauce which was a new sensation! The yakisoba had thick noodles similar to udon. They were well soaked in sauce and tasted great with crunchy cabbage. The warai-yaki was like a modern-style okonomiyaki, also fluffy and melts in your mouth.

On April 13th, we didn't feel like cooking at home so we went out to find a place to have dinner with the family. We were looking for a place that was quick, cheap, and delicious, and decided on "Nishiki Warai". It was still early, around 5 o'clock, so the restaurant was empty. We ordered the W Butatama okonomiyaki and pork yakisoba, along with three side dishes to share among the four of us. The grilled squid with salt, omelette with cheese, and grilled cartilage were all delicious, especially the omelette with cheese which was fluffy and creamy. The okonomiyaki and yakisoba were sizzling hot when they arrived at our table, and we topped them with sauce, bonito flakes, and mayonnaise. The aroma of the sauce was enticing. We quickly devoured the dishes, cutting them into quarters and sharing them. Even though we initially thought the portions were small, we were all satisfied in the end. We will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

Lunchtime is a big issue every day. How we handle this challenge is a showcase of teamwork for everyone. Someone mentioned that at the Kinwara Sakai Ho-ten, you can eat as much onigiri as you want for lunch. So, we decided to go there, but it was too far to make it back in an hour. Then someone suggested, "I know! There's the Fukuda store!" We all got into the car and headed there. Unfortunately, they didn't have onigiri, but for an extra 50 yen, you could get a set with rice and miso soup. When we arrived, the hot air from the griddle and the full blast of the air conditioning from the ceiling greeted us. It felt familiar, like I had heard of it somewhere before (laughs). Eating together with everyone is so enjoyable. We ordered yakisoba, waraiyaki, and kyoten-yaki. The mayonnaise on the waraiyaki was like a work of art. My main dish was the kyoten-yaki, topped with plenty of sprouts and eaten with lemon soy sauce instead of regular sauce. It was light and delicious. With our bellies full, we were ready to work hard together for the rest of the afternoon. This is also teamwork, isn't it?

We were curious about the "Warai" sign that we have been seeing a lot lately, so we decided to go check it out. My girlfriend loves okonomiyaki, so we arrived around 7 pm. The place was super crowded, clearly very popular. We ordered the Kyoto-style okonomiyaki, as well as the Kyoto tempura okonomiyaki, Warai-yaki, and salt yakisoba. Despite the busy restaurant, the staff were quick and efficient, and our food came out promptly. The Kyoto tempura okonomiyaki was topped with a generous amount of pickled radish, and when drizzled with lemon soy sauce, it was absolutely delicious. It's also tasty when it gets crispy on the hot plate. The Warai-yaki was incredibly fluffy, with a unique texture that was different from both Omusoba and Modern-yaki. The noodles were also delicious, and I think they might have been cooked to a half-soft texture. It felt like eating a fluffy omelette. I would definitely want to visit this restaurant again when I'm in the area.

【2012/1 Visit】Nishiki Warai Sakai Fukuda Store (Waraiyaki) A chain of okonomiyaki restaurants originating from Kyoto's Nishiki Market. I visited the newly opened Nishiki Warai Sakai Fukuda Store in December 2011. They offer a great lunch set deal on weekdays, which includes rice, miso soup or rice ball, and miso soup as a service. You can also have seconds for rice and rice balls! I decided to try their signature dish, the "Waraiyaki" which is like an okonomiyaki with an omelette and soba noodle twist. The "Fluffy Modern-yaki" is a unique take on the traditional okonomiyaki with a soft egg, soft noodles, and crunchy cabbage. The cabbage is cut in large pieces, giving a different texture and sweetness. They offer three types of sauce: sweet, spicy, and very spicy. It's fun to try them all and find your favorite flavor. Unlike homemade okonomiyaki, this one had a professional touch and was delicious. Weekdays (Mon-Fri) 11:00-15:00 - Rice set (rice, miso soup) - Rice ball set (rice ball, miso soup) - Drink set - Waraiyaki set meal 800 yen - Kyoto Tempura (pork) set meal 800 yen - Yakisoba (pork) large serving set meal 830 yen.

I don't particularly like okonomiyaki, as the restaurant always seems to be crowded with customers, but I decided to give it a try. I had already decided to try the negiyaki before going. I also ordered the signature dish waraiyaki, the seasonal menu item grilled oysters, and the hari hari salad. The negiyaki was disappointing, with thick non-green onions. I prefer negiyaki with thin green onions. I chose the soy sauce flavor for the negiyaki, but it didn't taste very soy sauce-like. I was expecting a more savory soy sauce flavor. The waraiyaki, which is the signature dish, was the best among the dishes I ordered today. It had a unique texture, not like omusoba or modern yaki. I might consider ordering it again. The service was good, with well-trained staff serving us. The food we ordered was brought to us quickly, even though the restaurant was quite busy. Overall, it was a stress-free experience. It felt like a well-established chain restaurant.

On the last day off this year, I set out with my wife to have lunch. We hadn't decided on a restaurant, so we were driving around when we noticed that a place that used to be a certain family restaurant had changed. We decided to try "Warai," a chain restaurant that had just opened. The menu was similar to other branches, but the staff were very friendly and provided good service. The food was decent, nothing extraordinary but still tasty. It's located nearby, so we might go back again in the future!
