I ordered the large portion of abura soba. It arrived in about 8 minutes. When eating, mix in the table's chili oil and vinegar. There is also sliced onion available if you like. You can add garlic for free. The noodles are thick and slightly soft with a curly texture. The chashu consists of a few thin slices, menma, green onions, and seaweed. The amount of toppings is a bit on the low side. The noodles have a texture similar to the steamed noodles commonly found in bags. Some may not like that they lack firmness. The sauce is not overly rich, and you can adjust the richness with the chili oil. Considering that you can increase the noodle portion to double for 880 yen, the cost performance is reasonable, but it may seem a bit expensive for a regular portion. Also, due to the low amount of toppings, you might get tired of it towards the end.

While waiting for the dish to be served, I heard that it has fewer calories than ramen and is a healthier option. I sat at the counter seat designated by the staff. I ordered the double portion of Abura Soba. Let's dig in! The double portion definitely has a lot of volume. I enjoyed mixing the light sauce with the noodles, but I started to get a bit tired of the large amount of noodles. The toppings are quite simple, so it's a bit tough towards the end without using the condiments on the table. Overall, it was a decent meal. The pricing based on the double portion may not be the best value unless you have a big appetite. Also, when they serve the food, they say "Please enjoy your meal" as they walk back to their station without looking back, so I think it would be better if they didn't say anything at all.

I found a super cool restaurant with a black theme in the south and decided to have lunch there. I was curious about what people in Tokyo eat on a regular basis, so I decided to try their Tokyo-style oil noodles. I ordered the regular size oil noodles for 820 yen and 3 special water dumplings for 200 yen. It seems like the price doesn't change even if you order a large portion of noodles, which is great for those who want to eat a lot. The waitress was very kind and asked me if I wanted the water dumplings with green onion sauce or miso sauce (or maybe sesame sauce, I can't remember). I chose the green onion sauce, and she kindly asked if I was okay with it being a bit spicy. The oil noodles were delicious, and it was my first time trying them so I couldn't compare them to anything, but they were satisfying and low in calories. It was a regular oil soba. The noodles are the same price up to a double serving of 320g. The spicy tsukemen was spicier than expected. It's just a normal place, but because it's near an office district and a vocational school, I was able to get in right away around 1pm, but there was a constant line inside the restaurant. Also, it only has counter seats and they are very cramped!!

I visited for a solo lunch on a weekday. I purchased a meal ticket from the vending machine in the store for 820 yen (tax included) for a large portion of abura soba, plus a special topping B for 340 yen (tax included). After waiting for about 10 minutes in the chairs inside, I was seated at the counter and my meal arrived in about 3 minutes. The special topping B included 2 slices of chashu, negi goma, and a half-boiled egg, giving it a fully loaded appearance. Following the instructions on the table, I mixed the toppings well with the sauce before enjoying the meal. I mixed in more vinegar and chili oil to my liking (laughs). I also added about 6 servings of onions and mixed them in. Sometimes, oil soba is also good!

Basically, I like soup noodles so I don't usually choose oil noodles...lol A new oil noodle shop opened at the site where there used to be a cafe called APPLE in front of Nishinakajima-Minamigata Station! I had been curious about it even before it opened. It opened on March 21st, and with a price of 500 yen, there was a long line! When I saw it around lunchtime, the line was so long that I couldn't even imagine waiting...but around 2 pm, the line had calmed down a bit, so I decided to line up. Inside the shop, there was only a counter. You buy a meal ticket at the entrance, then wait inside on the bench for the number of seats available. There were various toppings, but being a beginner, I ordered just the oil noodles. They even asked if I needed a paper apron when they showed me to my seat. The oil noodles were served quite quickly. I sprinkled vinegar and chili oil, added chopped onions, and tasted it! The slightly warm noodles were easy to eat as they were coated in the oil sauce. It wasn't greasy at all! The chopped onions were a good match! I added more because it was so good - lol. The taste is addictive - the menma was thick and flavorful. Surprisingly, it's lighter than regular ramen in terms of salt content! Just hearing the name oil noodles, you might think it's high in calories, but there's no guilt when finishing the broth.
