Located facing the intersection of Odori South 25 and South 26 on National Route 236 (commonly known as Odori), this pork bowl restaurant is a bit less than 2km from JR Obihiro Station, so it's best to go by car. There are about 15 parking spaces in front of the restaurant, but the parking lot is narrow and long, making it a bit difficult to park, especially for inexperienced drivers. On the day of the visit, four people arrived at 13:20.
●Service
Basically, you are seated (assigned) at a table, but it seems to be more focused on efficiency. If you are in a small group, you will be seated at the counter without hesitation, and if the restaurant is full, you will be seated at the counter without hesitation. Payment is made through a food ticket...I personally dislike this food ticket system. It feels rushed when there is a line behind you, and why do you have to pay in advance without receiving any service?
●Atmosphere
Despite having a decent number of seats, the space is wide enough to have a calm dining environment. However, the counter is rather crowded. If they spaced out the seating a bit more, it would feel more spacious.
●Menu
The basic options are fillet, loin, and belly, with the price determined by the combination and portion size. On that day, the 'Special Mix Pork Bowl Regular, 1,260 yen' with loin and belly mix was ordered.
●Taste
The bowl was overflowing with meat, and the portion size was great. It is finished with a sweet and savory thick sauce, but it is not too heavy. The balance between the meat, sauce, and rice is good, and it goes down smoothly. You can change the taste with shichimi pepper and sansho pepper, so even with a large portion, it's easy to eat. The loin has a thickness to the meat and is slightly bland compared to the belly. It may be a matter of preference, but the belly meat may be more suitable for this style than the loin.
●Overall
The taste is great, especially when you are hungry. However, it took too long, about 30 minutes from entering the restaurant to receiving the dish. It may depend on how busy they are, so it's best to go when you have time to spare.
