In December, they started serving lunch only on weekends. All three courses came with red miso soup! The delicious red vinegar sushi was a great deal. Prices ranged from 1,500 yen to 3,000 yen. I highly recommend this restaurant in Ura Namba from 12:00 to 15:00.

We talked about still not having enough food and drinks, and decided to attack this restaurant that we had missed a few times due to it being full. It wasn't too crowded this time, so we were able to get in easily. We ordered Tessa and boiled gyoza, along with some sake. Then we ordered several pieces of sushi and more sake. In total, it cost a little over 10,000 yen for the two of us. It may have been a bit excessive, but it was delicious so no problem.

This is a calm and relaxing place where couples and colleagues can enjoy delicious drinks and snacks. They have a rare type of sake called hirazake. It's almost unheard of in the Kansai region. Be sure to try it out!

I visited a sushi restaurant. First, I had some appetizers. The sashimi and oyster ponzu were delicious. The sashimi was quite good for the price range. The oysters, although small, were packed with flavor and very tasty. The sushi had a nice flavor, maybe they used red vinegar? It had a good taste to it.

※This is a past article m(*_ _)m I was taken to a hidden spot in Namba through a connection with an acquaintance in Nara♡ We left the food selection up to the restaurant!! (laughs) I was recommended a sip of Nara's local sake, Shinomiya, by the person sitting next to me. It was smooth and easy to drink, but one small cup of sake is enough for me♪

We used it for a launch event. The interior of the restaurant had a traditional Japanese atmosphere. We had reserved a course, so the tables were already set up with various dishes, but I completely forgot to take pictures of most of them. Every dish was delicious and we were very satisfied. We would like to use it again.

This is a sushi and fugu (blowfish) restaurant located in Ura Namba. I stumbled upon it while looking for dinner during my Osaka trip. There are many counter seats, making it easy for solo diners. The assorted sashimi platter had 2 pieces of each type, allowing for a variety of flavors. The cod milt was delicious as a salt-grilled dish, but I think tempura would have been better. I also tried a few pieces of nigiri, and the eel was particularly plump and tasty. I ordered the rare Hirezake cold sake, and it had a strong aroma which was enjoyable. The staff were friendly, and if this restaurant were closer, I would definitely be a regular customer.

After leaving Prism Ramen, I felt like having sushi and beer, so I headed to the standing sushi bar in Nihonbashi. However, for some reason, the beer set was no longer available. So, I decided to go to a shop in Sennichimae, but the counter seats were full. I didn't want to give up on my plan to have sushi with beer, so I started looking for another sushi restaurant. Finally, I found a place called Tetpou in the Ura-Namba area. They offered a sushi lunch set with miso soup for 850 yen, which seemed like a good deal. The atmosphere was nice, although the counter seats were a bit high. I ordered the sushi lunch set along with a cold beer. The beer was refreshing, and the sushi was decent. It seems like Tetpou is known for their blowfish dishes, so I might try that next time. Overall, it was a satisfying experience, and I might head to Shinsekai next.

I went to "Teppou Ura Namba Honten" for the first time as my second stop in Namba. I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered some sake, a sashimi platter, and grilled eel. The sashimi and eel were delicious, so I wanted to relax and enjoy some more drinks. After having a few glasses of cold sake, I saw grilled edamame on the menu and decided to try it. It was really good! The yellowtail hot pot was also delicious! Feeling pleasantly tipsy, I ended the meal with a tekka maki, unagi cucumber roll, and red miso soup. I would like to come back as my first stop next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal!!!

After watching Avengers Endgame for 3 hours, I met up with a friend and went to Osaka Buta Center for our first stop. For our second stop, we had Nara's local sake, Shinomiya. Our snacks were firefly squid with ginger soy sauce and grilled pufferfish. The grilled pufferfish was different from what I expected. I thought it would be thinly sliced and seared with ponzu sauce, but it was actually thickly sliced and marinated before being grilled. The flavor was rich and paired well with the Japanese sake. We enjoyed it very much.

On February 16, 2019 (Saturday) after 8 pm, I met up with my old drinking buddies in Namba area for a night of bar hopping. We didn't decide on a specific place beforehand. For the first stop, we ended up at the Hidezou Uoya Annex. As we wandered around the backstreets of Namba for our second stop, someone mentioned "Sushi sounds good" and right in front of us, we saw a lantern with the word "Sushi" on it. So we decided to go there. The restaurant was called "Tepou Ura Namba Honten" which actually specializes in blowfish dishes, but also serves sushi. The name "Tepou" is a clever play on words, as it means blowfish, which can also be interpreted as "to hit" in Japanese. We ordered sushi and rolls including tuna, amberjack, red snapper, tekka maki, anago maki, yamaimo maki, and namida maki. We also had draft beer and sweet potato shochu with water. The sushi and rolls were delicious, and we had a great time. Thank you for the wonderful meal! ♡♡♡♡

A cozy restaurant with two sets of counters and tables. The menu offers a variety of fugu dishes at a good cost performance. You can leave it to the staff to choose dishes for you or pick ones that catch your eye. The only alcohol available is from Shinomiya, Nara Prefecture, but they offer a variety of options. The chilled sake made from fugu fins was delicious.
