First time having monjayaki ♡ I ordered the mentaiko mochi cheese monja with pork and egg okonomiyaki. When asked if I wanted to make it myself or have the staff make it, I of course asked the staff to make it for me ♡ The young girl was very efficient and friendly, she was really lovely ♡♡ Eating monjayaki for the first time was quite challenging. The pork and egg was fluffy, and the rich sauce was very delicious ♡♡ Thank you for the meal ♡♡

I wanted to eat chanko-nabe before heading to work, but I found out it was closed on Wednesdays. So I decided to have soba instead, but the shop was also closed. It seems like it's common for shops to have maintenance days even though year-round operation has become more common. I found another shop nearby and ordered the limited-time chanko-yaki with no ginger. It was served in about 22 minutes and the shrimp and squid were fresh and delicious, although the mochi was just okay. I paid with my card and rushed off to work.

I pass by this restaurant almost every day but had never tried it until now. I went for lunch and the interior of the restaurant was surprisingly spacious, with box seats in the front and semi-private rooms without doors or curtains towards the back. I was seated in one of these semi-private rooms. I ordered the "Half and Half Set Meal for 990 yen," which included half okonomiyaki, half yakisoba, rice, miso soup, and pickles. It took a while for the food to arrive as more and more customers kept coming in after me. When the food finally arrived, the staff asked if I wanted to finish cooking it myself, but it was already done, so I just had to add the sauce to the okonomiyaki. Both the okonomiyaki and yakisoba were filled with plenty of ingredients, showing that they don't cut corners on quality. The miso soup was on the lighter side, perhaps catering to the older regular customers at the restaurant. I noticed some spicy sauce and motsu yakisoba on the table, which piqued my interest for my next visit.

I met up with a friend and arrived at the shopping street on the north side of Kyobashi Station right when the store opened. The interior had a cafe-like feel near the entrance, and towards the back on the right side, there were private rooms. The atmosphere was not like a chain store, but rather had a down-to-earth vibe. We chose a set meal with rice, salad, and miso soup. I ordered the Chabito pork abundant set meal (1100 yen) and asked the staff for sauce and mayonnaise. Chabito pork is thinly sliced and tender meat. When it arrived, it had a delicious aroma from being well-cooked. With the set menu, we didn't feel rushed and could enjoy our meal while chatting leisurely.

My schedule got delayed... it's already past 2 o'clock. I decided to try out "Kaze no Machi" in Kyobashi, which offers all-day dining. The semi-private room made me feel at ease while enjoying my meal. I ordered the discounted "Ladies Set" using the touch panel. The set includes:
- Salad with a delicious dressing
- Drink bar
- Half-size okonomiyaki with squid and pork, very tasty
- Half-size yakisoba with medium-thick noodles, my favorite type
- Dessert ice cream, I chose yuzu sherbet from 4 options
Even though they were half-size portions, they were satisfying. Thank you for the meal! (๑>◡<๑)

It has been cold and I haven't been going out much, but during my lunch break while working from home, I decided to take a bike ride towards Kyobashi for a change of pace and lunch. I stumbled upon this place called Kono Kaze no Machi Kyobashi-ten, which is the main store in Senbayashi. The location is on the left side as you enter the Shin-Kyobashi shopping street from National Route 1. Inside the restaurant, there is a counter on the left where a guy is cooking okonomiyaki and yakisoba on a hot plate. There are table seats on the right and semi-private rooms lined up at the back. I sat at a 4-person table with a hot plate all to myself, which was very relaxing. There were two girls and two couples already there, enjoying some daytime drinks, which looked really nice. I used a coupon from Tabelog for a limited-time all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink deal until 3 PM on weekdays, which gave me a discount of 500 yen. The prices with the discount were 3000 yen for all-you-can-eat and alcohol, and 2000 yen for all-you-can-eat and soft drinks. It's a great deal for daytime drinking. The okonomiyaki looked delicious too. You order using a tablet system, and the female staff will guide you through it. The lunch set menu includes the classic dish "Buta Modern-yaki" for 950 yen. First, they bring you a salad with a slightly sweet and tangy dressing. There are three types of sauce: original, sweet, and super spicy. You can sprinkle seaweed and shichimi chili pepper to your liking. They bring the cooked okonomiyaki to your table, and you can choose to pour the sauce yourself or have the staff do it for you. I asked the staff to do it for me, along with some mayonnaise. I also added seaweed and shichimi chili pepper. The Buta Modern-yaki was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, very tasty. I even tried the super spicy sauce, which starts off sweet but then the spiciness kicks in. By the end, I was sweating a bit. The rice and miso soup were also delicious. Next time, I will try the daytime drinking course. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a okonomiyaki restaurant in the Nihonbashi shopping street because I was intrigued by the poster of their "Charred Cheese Yaki". The restaurant had a cozy and warm atmosphere, with open table seating near the entrance and semi-private booths towards the back. I was seated in one of the booths. I ordered the following: Fresh Tomato Cheese Yaki, Butatama (pork and egg), Kaze no Machi Yakisoba (fried noodles), and Warabi Mochi. The Charred Cheese Yaki that I was looking forward to was delicious with its burnt cheese aroma and flavor. The homemade Warabi Mochi was also recommended and it was soft and chewy, very tasty. Thank you for the meal!

I went to the Windy City after a long time. I was planning to have a meal in Kyoto, but due to adult circumstances, I ended up having lunch in Kyobashi. I was undecided on where to eat. Then I remembered that I wanted to have Nagasaki champon after a long time. So, I went to Mokutsuboko-tei. Gasp! It was closed. It seems that it had to close due to the influence of the coronavirus. It was a very delicious restaurant, so it's disappointing. I was contemplating where to go, and that's how I ended up here. "Half & Half" refers to a set of "okonomiyaki" and "yakisoba." This set comes with rice and miso soup. It's a total carb fest. Only in Osaka, right? (laughs) I ate heartily and filled my stomach. Of course, I finished it. The taste was average.

Pork Negi-yaki with Light Soy Sauce - 850 yen
The pork was thinly sliced. It is topped with bonito flakes and grilled. The green onions are thick, similar to okonomiyaki. The soy sauce used is not the typical negi-yaki sauce, but the flavor of the green onions is strong. If you like green onions, you may enjoy it. I tried it with mayonnaise.
Pork Tamago with Original Sauce - 690 yen
The original sauce is a thick, very sweet sauce that mixes well with the dish. Like the Negi-yaki, it is topped with bonito flakes and grilled. The dish is not very large in portion size. It is served with sauce, mayonnaise, and bonito flakes on the side, along with mustard seeds and pickled ginger. The taste is average.
Tonpeiyaki - 500 yen
It is made with thin, neat layers of egg rolled with two slices of pork. The portion size is not very big. It is served with sauce, mayonnaise, and bonito flakes on top, with mustard seeds and pickled ginger on the side. The taste is ordinary. The restaurant has WiFi, although the signal may be weak.

It's been a while since I visited the Windy City (^ ^) I ordered a mix of Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, pork okonomiyaki, and grilled chicken cartilage with salt. The Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki was quite large, I wish there was a bit more cabbage in it. The pork okonomiyaki was delicious as usual. The chicken cartilage was crispy and had a nice fatty flavor with the salt seasoning. There were various menu items like okonomiyaki, monjayaki, and Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, so I'll try something different next time (^ ^)

Yakisoba set meal (rice, miso soup, pickles, salad included) for 750 yen. Ingredients: pork, cabbage, onions, noodles: thick noodles. The noodles themselves lacked flavor and were a bit sticky on the surface. The seasoning was a bit bland on its own. However, when I added spicy sauce and seaweed, it brought out a nice contrast.

I visited a restaurant where you can eat and drink as much as you want for 3500 yen. I think it's a great deal to be able to eat okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and monjayaki for this price. However, I was seated near the entrance where the air conditioning was blowing directly at me, so it was quite chilly.

Hormone yakisoba was cooked in the back and then transferred to the table's central hot plate with the cooking sheet still underneath. The ingredients included hormone, cabbage, onion, fried egg, and chopped green onions. The hormone consisted of intestines, tripe, teppanyaki, hachinosu, and akasen (?), maybe also pork belly because of the fatty part. The seasoning was similar to yakiniku sauce. I recently had yakisoba with a sauce flavor, but this one had a more cohesive taste. It goes well with delicious beer. The noodles were thick, and while the top part was fine, the bottom part got a bit slimy because the sauce accumulated, maybe due to the presence of kitchen paper. The crispy fried egg added a nice texture. This would be good to try at home as well. The draft beer was Asahi Super Dry. Thank you for the meal.

The lunch set was a great deal. It is located in a shopping street I often visit, and the set was both delicious and filling. The fact that it came with a drink made it even more worth it. Even though rice was an extra charge, just the main dish alone was enough to make me full. I would love to have lunch there again next time I visit.

High volume, three types of sauces available: original, sweet, and super spicy. The super spicy one is delicious. It claims to be the spiciest in the world, but it's not that spicy.

Delicious okonomiyaki and yakisoba are available at this restaurant. They also have a good selection of other dishes. It's a great place for drinking, and their lunch options are good too. They offer a drink bar with soft drinks, which is very reasonable. This is a convenient okonomiyaki restaurant for families or small groups.

The atmosphere and seating were good. It was a shame that I couldn't fully enjoy it due to my own circumstances. I will visit again.
