I arrived at Dining Hakodate near Hakodate Station at night and wandered around looking for a place that was still open. I was saved by Gaya, where I had to wait for about 40 minutes for a table. I wanted to try squid since I was in Hakodate, but it was late and fresh squid was not available. I settled for the Gaya bowl with seafood. I couldn't resist adding some squid. The seafood bowl with fresh ingredients was delicious. The scallops from Tomakomai were fantastic, and the sea urchin and salmon roe here were also delicious. The staff were friendly and I had a great dining experience!

A seafood izakaya located close to Hakodate Station and the morning market. I wanted to order fresh squid from the menu, but they were out of stock due to a decrease in catches. I felt a bit sad thinking about whether squid will continue to be scarce. However, I enjoyed a variety of dishes such as sashimi, grilled skewers, ramen salad, and potato mochi, all of which were delicious. With a wide selection of seafood bowls available, it seems like this is a great place for a meal rather than just drinks. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Hakodate Bullet Tour, stay for 2 hours and 30 minutes! With limited time, I researched a restaurant right after getting off the JR train and visited this place. From the lunch limited menu, I ordered the "Sushi Set" for 1485 yen including tax. It came with a large tray of 10 pieces of sushi, tempura, salad, pickles, tofu? but it turned out to be almond tofu, miso soup, and a soft drink. I was satisfied with the delicious food at this price and portion in a tourist spot! They also have other options like a rice bowl set which seems to be cost-effective as well.

I came here for dinner on the second day. This was also my first visit since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this restaurant, safety measures were in place such as hand sanitizer at the entrance and staff wearing masks. First, we ordered drinks. My friend got a large mug of draft beer, while I chose Hakodate Bugyo sake. We ordered horsehair crab sashimi, deep-fried squid, and thick-cut grilled silver cod. First, we were served our drinks and appetizers. The appetizers included stem wakame and edamame, pickled bell peppers and lotus root, and grated radish with spicy cod roe. They were all delicious. The Hakodate Bugyo sake was on the sweeter side. Next, the horsehair crab sashimi arrived, and it was deliciously crunchy. Then came the deep-fried squid, which was unexpectedly similar to fried squid legs. The batter was slightly sweet and very tasty. Finally, the thick-cut grilled silver cod arrived, and it was also delicious. My friend switched to sake as usual and enjoyed a tasting set of Hakodate Bugyo and Chitose Tsuru. In the past, we used to stay for dessert, but the menu had changed significantly, so we decided to end our meal here. The food was still good, but we will need to consider the changes in the dessert menu for future visits.

I entered the restaurant at 6pm on a weekday. I went there for the live squid! The restaurant was not crowded, probably because it was a weekday. However, the staff seemed a bit short-handed, so it took a while for them to serve drinks and food and take orders, which made me a little impatient. But the taste was definitely great, everything I tried was delicious, especially the live squid was really tasty! They also gave me detailed instructions on how to cook the grilled dishes! I will definitely use this restaurant again when I visit Hakodate!

It's very convenient that they stay open until late. At first, I thought it was just a izakaya and hesitated to go in because I was only looking to eat, but they have a wide variety of menu items including set meals, so I didn't need to worry. It's right in front of the station, so it's easy to get to.

Second visit. It was disappointing to see that the menu had decreased since my last visit a few years ago. There were only picture menus for rice dishes, so I asked the staff if there were other menus with pictures, but they said there weren't any. I could have sworn there were some before... Oh well. The taste was all good. Especially the Genghis Khan was tender and delicious. The ramen salad only had flavor on the top, so I asked for extra dressing to mix it in, as it tasted like sesame when mixed. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch and the cost performance was amazing! I chose the option to upgrade from a bowl to a Gagome udon for an additional 150 yen. There are 12 different bowl options to choose from, and I chose the seafood bowl. It was filled with plenty of salmon roe and I was very satisfied. Plus, you can get free refills of rice and unlimited servings of the restaurant's original tarako in a tube. This was a pleasant surprise! The prices are also very reasonable. They are good at their business. I also upgraded the soba to Gagome udon, and it had a nice chewy texture. A nutrient-packed udon! The miso soup was also delicious and you can get refills. The seaweed in the soup was a nice touch. This would easily cost 200 yen at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is good, and the staff are polite. It was a fantastic restaurant experience! Thank you for the meal.

For dinner in Hakodate! The menu was varied and everything was delicious! The hairy crab and squid were brought to us before being prepared, and it was a bit surprising to see them moving, but it was fun! The squid was sliced into sashimi, and then the tentacles were cooked separately, we had them fried. It was delicious!

I checked into a hotel near the station around 8 o'clock at night, so I decided to go to this restaurant right behind it. I really wanted to eat grilled seafood, so I ordered the pictured snow crab legs and scallops. The scallops were cooked on a tabletop stove, so I also added asparagus and mushrooms. Everything was delicious. I hesitated a bit because the snow crab was a bit pricey, but they brought it already cooked and it was perfectly done, so I was glad I ordered it. The simmered silver cod was also very tasty, and overall I was satisfied. I wanted to try more dishes, but as usual, I ordered a bit less and still left satisfied.

During a business trip, I found this restaurant while strolling around Hakodate Station for dinner. There are many highly rated restaurants in Hakodate Station area on Tabelog. Among them, I decided to try this one because it looked delicious. The tuna and salmon sashimi were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, the asparagus tempura had a sweet flavor, and the crab cream croquettes and scallops were all tasty. Everything I tried was delicious.

It was my last meal before returning to Sapporo. The menu was extensive and I had a hard time deciding. Instead of opting for sashimi, I ordered the shrimp fry set meal. The frying was dense and not fluffy, a bit firm. The set came with four pieces, very filling! I look sleepy on the bus back. LOL~

The food was delicious, and even though I was dining alone, I ended up eating a lot. Each table had a stove, so you could cook and eat the food right there. The crab miso, grilled pork belly, sashimi, everything was delicious as expected. The local sake was also amazing. The prices were a bit high, but there are other places with similar quality at a lower cost, so it's a mixed bag. Thank you for the meal.

Visited this restaurant on the first day of my trip to Hakodate. Feeling exhausted from walking, I decided to make a reservation at this restaurant near the hotel. The menu offers fresh sashimi, crab dishes, and a variety of fried foods. The location seemed to attract a lot of foreign tourists, including Chinese, European, and Arab visitors, but the staff provided excellent service to everyone. The food was delicious, but some items seemed a bit ordinary for the price. If you want to truly enjoy local cuisine during your trip, it might be worth venturing a bit further to explore the shops in the alleyways, unless it's snowing.

When I went to Hakodate, I thought this restaurant looked good and decided to go in. They had fresh sashimi and grilled dishes, with plenty of fresh fish. The crab was delicious! I went with my boyfriend and he was really happy eating here, so I'm glad we stopped by. We were very satisfied! ❤️

This is a shop located just a short walk from Hakodate Station. I wanted to eat grilled crab, so I chose this shop. Personally, I believe that crab tastes best when grilled. I had grilled crab, scallops, medium fatty tuna, squid, and the ladies set. Oh, everything was delicious. Grilled crab is the best after all! Also, the chilliness of the draft beer was amazing. It was like right before freezing, and it was delicious too. In Hokkaido, the indoor heating is strong, so you can enjoy cold beer even more.笑

However, perhaps due to its proximity to the station, it felt a little bit overpriced. The service was quiet and smart, no issues there. They had a selection of Japanese sake and wine from places other than Hokkaido, but since we were in Hakodate, we chose Hakodate sake... I can't remember the name... We tried two types, but I found them a little on the sweet side.

The salmon Ishikari hot pot was delicious. When we asked what the broth was made of, no one knew. The waitress told us it was made with soy milk, and it was really tasty. The dinner included in the tour was at a popular restaurant with lots of autographs from celebrities. After dinner, we visited the only national designated cultural property garden in Hokkaido, the beautiful Koyo-en Garden, which was lit up at night, creating a magical world of autumn leaves in the darkness and inviting us in.

Because it is close to the morning market, it is popular with tourists, but locals also go there. The hokke in the hokke set meal was really big and delicious with lots of fat! The tarako butter that you put on the rice is free. Coffee is also included after the meal, which felt like a good deal.
