リソウのおやじ
I visited "Nishiki Warai Matsubara Store" for the first time in a long time. I wanted to eat okonomiyaki and soba-yaki, but when I saw the lunch set menu available only on weekdays, I realized I hadn't had "tonpei-yaki" in a while. So, I decided to switch to the tonpei-yaki set meal. The set meal comes with unlimited rice, miso soup, salad, and a soft drink. I chose oolong tea. First, the set salad and oolong tea were brought to me. After a while, the rice and miso soup were served, followed by the main dish in a skillet. For those unfamiliar with tonpei-yaki, it is a local dish that originated in Osaka. It is made by spreading thinly rolled dough on a griddle, placing thinly sliced pork belly (pork loin) on top, pouring beaten eggs like an omelette, and cooking it. Cabbage, onions, and other vegetables are often added, and it is topped with mayonnaise, ketchup, and sauce. The tonpei-yaki at "Nishiki Warai" is served on a skillet with shredded cabbage at the bottom, topped with tonpei-yaki, and drizzled with a sauce made of ketchup and mayonnaise, with chopped green onions on top. It's quite filling. I added shichimi (Japanese seven spice), seaweed flakes, bonito flakes, more mayonnaise, and spicy sauce on top. It's cut into pieces, so you use a spatula to transfer it to your plate and eat it with chopsticks. With the salad, drink, miso soup, and rice, the combination of carbohydrates is delicious!
