Located in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, the café "Arrow Tree Karasuma" is currently ranked 61st in the "Kyoto City [Cake]" ranking on Tabelog, despite having a rating of 3.52. I visited the café after having dinner at "Tomikoji Yamagishi." The café is conveniently located near Karasuma Station, just a 2-3 minute walk away. It is situated in the basement of a building. Upon arrival, I placed my order at the entrance. There were only two cake options available at that time, so I chose the "Amaou Cherry Blossom Shortcake" for 680 yen (tax included). I also added a hot coffee for 450 yen (tax included). The total came to 1130 yen with a discount for ordering a drink set. The café was not crowded when I visited around 6:40 pm on a holiday. The cake was delicious and paired well with the mild and smooth coffee. Despite not being a particularly relaxing environment, I was able to enjoy a leisurely time and relax. Arrow Tree is a well-known fruit wholesaler from Nishinomiya, and their café in Kyoto offers a delightful experience for those looking to enjoy fruit-based sweets.

One day, I suddenly felt like eating fruit cake. It's not a craving that comes up often, but I decided to follow that feeling and visited this shop. They were selling fruits at the storefront, and there was a sparkling cake showcase in front of me, with about 5 table seats diagonally in the back. Without any unnecessary speculation, I was sure the fruits would be delicious, so I quickly ordered the Shine Muscat cake that caught my eye in the showcase! I sat at a table, enjoyed the cake with iced coffee. The Shine Muscat was so delicious! And the cake... it was a happy moment. It's not the kind of place where you can linger for a long time, but I think it's worth going for the fruits. Thank you for the meal.

The peach was used in its entirety and was delicious. The fruits were fresh and perfectly sweet. The fact that the inside was not cornflakes was the best part for me. The ice cream inside was also delicious. Since it was an eat-in style, it was a bit scary to carry it to the table. If that could be improved, it would be even better!

I usually buy at the store in Sanjo, but today I purchased from this place. I usually like the Amaou Tart, but since it's not in season, I got the Summer Strawberry Special Tart to take home. It had plenty of strawberries, the whipped cream was not too sweet, and the tart crust was delicious. The tart crust here is really tasty. Even though it's not Amaou, the strawberries were rich in flavor with a hint of acidity. It was delicious. The price is a bit high, so it's not the best value for money, but it's so tasty that I crave it occasionally.

I stopped by for a break after shopping in the area around Shijo Karasuma. I wanted to eat a lot of fruits, so I ordered a fruit assortment and shared it with my companion. Fruit assortment ¥1700 Pineapple x Orange ¥600 Apple x Grapefruit ¥600 (¥50 off for food and drink set when eating in) The fruit assortment included grapes, apples, oranges, bananas, pineapples, watermelon, pink grapefruit, blueberries, kiwi, and vanilla ice cream piled high! The price is a bit high, but I was very satisfied because I could eat a lot of fruits! I was curious about the taste of the apple x grapefruit juice, but it had a strong apple flavor and was very refreshing with the grated fruit. It seems like you can also enjoy the cakes sold at the store, so I would like to try the cakes next time!

The sweets made with plenty of large and sparkling fruits make you feel happy just by looking at them. They all look delicious, and it's hard to decide what to eat, but this time I decided to have a strawberry and white chocolate tart. There are also many delicious fruit juices, but since I had too many calories today, I chose coffee. The fresh strawberries were really delicious. The cream, tart crust, and white chocolate were also delicious. I used to think that tarts could be hard to eat because the crust was hard depending on the type, but this tart was easy to cut cleanly with a fork and easy to eat. The interior of the shop is clean and has a nice atmosphere, but it's a bit compact, so the distance to the next person is somewhat close. When there are a few lively customers, the voices echo in the shop. I wish to enjoy the sweets quietly while being considerate of the people around me.

If you extend your steps to the sister store of the fruit specialty store Arrow Tree, you will find a directly operated store at Sanjo Ohashi. However, I didn't have time, so I bought it at LAQUE, which is directly connected to Shijo-Karasuma Station. I chose the Amaou tart, which was in season. It had a satisfying taste. I bought it to take home for 800 yen.

I went to a shop that sells fresh fruits, looking for a cake made with amaou strawberries. Unfortunately, the customer ahead of me bought the last one. The display case looked quite empty. I managed to buy the last pack of cut fruits. Personally, I think the fruits are top-notch. The cakes with different fruits as the main ingredient had average sponge cake. It's not a cake specialty shop.

It is located in the basement of Laque. I had heard that the cakes were delicious, and I finally got to go. It's a small café, but they also sell fruits. It feels like a fruit shop with a café attached. That means the fruits used in the cakes are definitely delicious. Before entering, you choose a cake from the showcase. At first sight, I decided on the Shine Muscat shortcake. It must be delicious. I also had some black tea. I paid first and then sat down. Since it's self-service, once the cake and drink are ready, you go pick them up. The Shine Muscat used in the cake was sweet and delicious. The cream and sponge were not too sweet, so the sweetness of the Shine Muscat stood out. I made the right choice. I'm sure the types of cakes change with the seasons. I would like to visit again in a different season.

I stopped by to take a break while sightseeing in Kyoto. I wanted to try a slightly luxurious parfait from a fruit specialty store, so I went to this shop. The interior of the shop felt a bit modest for the price range, despite the vibrant display of fruits. I had a peach parfait and a banana juice. They were really delicious. The peaches were fresh, sweet, and not discolored. There were plenty of peach slices in the parfait, and considering the price of peaches at the store, I felt like having the parfait was a good deal. The banana juice was not overly sweet, more on the creamy side, and easy to drink. If I lived nearby, I would have treated myself to this shop more often.

I got all sweaty at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine and quickly returned to Shijo Karasuma. I decided to have some tea and went into "Arrow Tree Karasuma" located in the B1 floor of Rakue Shijo Karasuma, directly connected to the station. The shop had 4-5 seats and a small cozy atmosphere. The display case at the entrance caught my eye with many delicious looking tarts. I was indecisive but eventually settled on my favorite, lemon tart! Should I order first or just take a seat? I was a bit confused as there was no guidance. I secured a seat and waited, but with no response, I finally had to call out "excuse me". A staff member finally came to assist, mentioning that payment is made in advance and it's self-service. I helped myself to fruit-infused water from the water server. I ordered a lemon cream tart and iced tea for ¥1240. The shop also doubles as a fruit store with fruits displayed inside. A fruit tart from a fruit shop should be good, right? Oh, I should have gone for a tart with lots of fruit on top. The lemon tart had only a few slices of lemon on top, so it lacked the fruity taste. However, the refreshing lemon acidity was nice in the mouth. The family next to me was enjoying a parfait or shaved ice, which also looked delicious. Thank you for the meal. *Payment made with au pay.

Located on the basement floor of a building near Karasuma Station, Arrow Tree is a fruit parlor. Their peach parfait uses peaches from Yamanashi Prefecture. It features large peach slices and cream on top, followed by sweet fruits, a layer of Genoise cake, and more peaches. While many shops insert sorbet or compote in their parfaits, Arrow Tree's parfait stands out for its unprocessed, continuous stream of sweet fruits, making it a delight for peach lovers. This parfait truly embodies the expertise of a fruit parlor in knowing the perfect ripeness of the fruits.

A shop specializing in fruit-based sweets with branches in various areas of Kansai. They mainly focus on take-out. I always thought they were mostly in Osaka, but when I searched to write a review, I found out their main store is actually in Nishinomiya. Their cakes are mostly around 1000 yen, so they are on the higher end. This time, I visited their shop in the central area of Kyoto, near Shijo Kawaramachi in a commercial building basement. The showcase in this shop is beautiful, with a variety of cakes made with different fruits displayed. The colors are vibrant, with red, yellow, green cakes lined up. For my first try, I chose a lemon tart with an iced coffee. The tart had some lemon pulp on top, and the crust was made with a fair amount of flour. It had a crispy crust at the bottom and a sponge layer in the middle. They seem to really focus on the fruits in their cakes rather than the cake itself!

First visit ✨ I was told that the fruits on the cake were in good condition and highly recommended, but since it was before lunch, I wanted to have a light parfait. I was shocked to find out that the fruit assortment was sold out. The recommended mango for this season was not available, and the melon was too firm to recommend! If you want to eat mainly fruits, the fruit parfait is recommended, so I had the fruit parfait. I hesitated between Muscat tea, but I chose a press-style coffee ☕️ The coffee was very delicious ☺️ Water was self-service with fruit water, which was very refreshing and delicious ✨ The fruit parfait was full of fruits and absolutely amazing ❣️ The watermelon added a summer touch ✨ The ripe banana was extremely sweet‼️ Under the ice cream, there was a fluffy sponge layer which was also delicious (*∩ω∩*)♡ It was filled with plenty of banana, pineapple, and apple until the end, making me feel happy ❣️ The staff was very nice, and the atmosphere was lovely ☺️ Thank you for the meal ❤️

Located a 3-5 minute walk from Karasuma Station, Patisserie Arrow Tree Karasuma is a popular patisserie known for its fruit-based desserts. With multiple locations in Kyoto and Osaka, this patisserie offers fruit parfaits for dine-in and takeout. I purchased their popular ripe melon rare cheesecake tart. The tart had a rich sweetness and a sweet melon aroma, combined with a refreshing rare cheesecake cream when chilled. The tart crust was moist and sweet, creating a well-balanced fruit tart. If you love fruit desserts, this is a must-visit spot. Thank you for the delicious treat!

Today, I stopped by a cafe in the underground area of Shijo Karasuma.
ARROW TREE is a cafe known for its popular sweets made with seasonal fruits. It is a branch of the chain that is mainly located in the Kansai region, and this particular store is located in the basement of "LAQUE Shijo Karasuma."
When I got off the subway, I was able to walk directly to the cafe through the underground passage. The showcase displayed a variety of delicious looking sweets ranging from 500 yen to 1200 yen.
I ordered a strawberry Mont Blanc along with a hot coffee. I paid first and then took a seat. They had self-service flavored water with fruits like apple and peach, giving it a refreshing taste.
After a short wait, my seat number was called, and I went to pick up my coffee and cake. The coffee was a medium-dark roast Ethiopian Mocha made using a French press, which had a rich and flavorful taste. The cake I ordered was an Amao cherry blossom Mont Blanc, perfect for the spring season. It had a smooth cream with a hint of acidity from the strawberries, and the center contained matcha sponge, smooth red bean paste, and a single Amao cherry, providing a variety of flavors. The base pastry had a surprising amount of volume, and I enjoyed dipping it in the red bean paste and cream.
With plenty of coffee to enjoy, I was able to relax and spend a leisurely afternoon.

Raque Shijo-Karasuma B1F is a fruit and sweets cafe where you can enjoy sweets and drinks made with Arrow Tree fruits. You can also buy fruits inside the store, have them cut, and enjoy them on the spot! This is quite reasonable and delicious!

I stopped by a fruit shop that also has an eat-in area because I was tired from walking and wanted something sweet. The shop sells cakes, parfaits, and fruits. It is clean but small, without much decoration. It's more of a place to quickly eat and go, rather than to relax and take your time. I ordered a tart and a parfait, both generously topped with fruits. The Shine Muscat tart was delicious, with a slightly less sweet base that allowed the fruits to shine. The peach parfait was surprisingly juicy and tasty. I was impressed by the balance of flavors. I felt happy with every bite of peach. Usually, parfaits have cornflakes or similar at the bottom, but this one had sponge cake, which was also delicious. Overall, I enjoyed the cut peaches and cake until the last bite. I've found another place to visit in Kyoto next time.

I casually dropped by around 12 o'clock on a weekday. Since it was lunchtime, the dessert shop was not crowded. It's a self-service shop where you take a seat, place your order at the counter, get some water, and then wait at your table until your order is ready. I had the Amaou strawberry parfait, which cost around 1400 yen. The slightly tangy Amaou strawberries and sweet ice cream were delicious. The sweet sponge cake was also tasty, like castella. The strawberry compote at the bottom was a nice touch. The iced tea had fruit pieces in it, giving it a refreshing and subtly sweet taste. I sometimes end up buying fruit cakes from this shop too, even though they are a bit pricey, because they are packed with lots of fruit. Overall, it was a great meal.

I visited around 19:00 on a regular day. There was one customer before me. I tried the Pumpkin Cream Tart for 920 yen. The pumpkin cream had a fruity flavor, and even the whipped cream had a fruity taste, maybe they added fruit juice to it. It was very delicious. However, I felt that the tart base didn't match well with the cream. Maybe it would have been better without the tart. I wonder if using a tart is easier or cheaper for them. They also had a stylish water server with various fruits in it, and the water tasted really good.
