I visited the store on a Saturday and was able to enter without any waiting time! I was guided to the second floor, where the staircase and interior were decorated very cutely, creating a fun atmosphere. They had a variety of cream soda flavors to choose from, which made it hard to decide! I really wanted to try their pancakes, but unfortunately they don't serve them in the summer.

In Kyoto's Teramachi, there is a cream soda specialty shop where I wanted to take a breather, so I decided to go there. The flashy interior stood out, and I've known about this place since I lived in Kyoto, but this was actually my first visit. The inside of the shop was even more colorful and bright than I had imagined, with eye-catching decorations everywhere. It felt like waking up with how bright it was. It had a pop and retro vibe, and there were many foreign customers as well. Depending on the time, there might be a line. The menu had around 25 different types of cream sodas to choose from. I checked out all the options and had a hard time deciding. They also had frappes and pancakes on the menu. I decided to go with the classic melon flavor. The Green Cream Soda was a safe choice, and it brought back nostalgic memories. It was delicious as always with the ice. I also tried the Blood Orange flavor, which had a more intense red color than I expected. The refreshing acidity balanced well with the sweetness of the ice. It was a nice way to quench my thirst during sightseeing and recharge my energy for more walking afterwards. Thank you for the meal.

YOGI POP (La France flavor) for 770 yen, paid in cash. This cute shop on the shopping street has adorable interior, entrance, and products. The shop is not very spacious, and when I visited on a Sunday, there was no waiting in line. YOGI POP had a yogurt-like flavor and was delicious.

I visited this cute shop for the second time, located in the Shin Kyogoku shopping street, where I had gone for cherry blossom viewing a year ago. When I visited, there were many foreigners around (around 4:30 pm on a Saturday). The shop was moderately crowded, and we were seated by the window on the second floor. Since I had dinner scheduled in 30 minutes, I only ordered drinks.
Taste impression:
I ordered a cream soda with the option to have a two-layered "gradation" of flavors. I chose Red Melon x Lemon, while my companion chose Strawberry x Grapefruit. The drinks were served within 5 minutes of ordering. I thought I had chosen my favorite flavors based on color and taste, but my companion's drink clearly looked more appealing, making me envious and questioning my lack of color sense. (Both flavors were delicious).
The location is great, and it's nice to be able to gauge the crowd from outside. I hope to try some food next time. Thank you as always. Bon appétit!

I found a retro café in Karasuma where I just wanted to rest and sit down, and when I said I was thirsty. It's a compact two-story building, but I was drawn in by the room design and cream soda. I was seated right away! There was also a wall hanging of Andy Warhol's art, which got me excited! The pancakes were fluffy too.

Located a 5-7 minute walk from Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto, Cafe Shinsetsu is a popular spot known for its float drinks that are perfect for Instagram. It can get crowded on weekends, but weekdays are a good time to visit when you can often find a seat. The vibrant atmosphere of the cafe is also appealing, making it a favorite among women. I ordered the popular Muscat Float this time. With 25 different flavors to choose from, you can customize your float drink with your favorite fruit and color. The Muscat float had a rich sweetness of muscat grapes, a refreshing carbonated fizz, and a creamy sweetness from the vanilla ice cream. Not only visually pleasing, but the taste was also fantastic! This cafe is perfect for taking a break in between sightseeing in Kyoto. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a shop that I had been curious about, during a break on Saturday evening while shopping. There was no wait time, but there were many customers. Instead of the recommended colorful soda, I ordered an iced coffee and it was delicious. The interior of the shop was cute, and there were many girls inside.

I visited the cream soda specialty shop "SHIN-SETSU" in Teramachi Kyogoku Shopping Street in Kyoto. It is a retro Showa era shop located near Nishiki Market. You can choose from 24 flavors of cream soda, including pastel colors and gradient options. The Cranberry Cream Soda features firm ice cream with cranberry syrup soda, offering a substantial portion. This nostalgic space with familiar menu items is recommended for fans of Showa retro and Heisei retro vibes.

Located near Gion in Kyoto, there is a cute café on Teramachi Street that I've been curious about ever since a Kyoto native recommended it to me about five years ago. And it did not disappoint! They have a variety of cream sodas, a total of 24 different kinds! The interior of the café is like a Barbie doll's room, very photogenic. Drinking a cream soda there feels like pure happiness. Everything in the shop is cute, and no matter where you sit or which cream soda you choose, it all looks delicious. I also received a sticker from the shop, and had a wonderful time there. I definitely want to go back again!

I had a gathering with my colleagues at work in Kyoto. We had lunch, visited temples and shrines, and ended up at this restaurant. Following GPS, we turned left at the arcade after heading north from Kyoto Kawaramachi intersection. The restaurant had a unique and fancy atmosphere, with bright wallpaper that gave a nostalgic feeling. We arrived around 4 pm, and the place was filled with women, so I was glad to have my two colleagues with me. We were seated by the window on the second floor and checked the menu. The specialty seemed to be the "Cream Soda" with 25 different flavors. I ordered the "Melon" flavor, while my colleagues ordered the same. I also got the "Plain Pancake & Ice Cream" set. The pancake was served on a hot plate with a generous scoop of ice cream on top. It had a fluffy texture with a crispy exterior and a perfect balance of sweetness. The cream soda had a light carbonation and a refreshing taste, especially when enjoyed with the ice cream. It was my first time trying a melon cream soda, but it felt familiar and comforting. Overall, it was a satisfying end to a fulfilling day.

We visited a popular cream soda shop for coffee after lunch while strolling around Kyoto city. We arrived at 15:10 on Monday, May 3rd, a holiday, and found available seats. Our drinks arrived at 15:21, and we enjoyed cream soda for 800 yen. After having spicy curry, a friend on Twitter recommended this cream soda shop, so we decided to check it out. With 25 different options to choose from, we had a hard time deciding. It was a unique and stylish place with a mix of Showa-era nostalgia. As two middle-aged men, it was a nice change of pace to visit an Instagram-worthy spot that we wouldn't typically go to. #SHINSETSU #Teramachi Street

The interior of the restaurant is girly with a pink base. It might feel a bit out of place for me... haha. Since the day I first laid eyes on it, I have been filled with a sense of mission to try this nostalgic cream soda for a few years! (Even though no one asked) I love this atmosphere so much. Today, I only ordered from the drink menu and tried the Blue Curacao. Among the various colors (25 types) available, I chose this one for its summery vibe. It's like a Blue Hawaii shaved ice, topped with vanilla and cherry, full of summer symbols. The tiny golden bucket with cherry stems and seeds is adorable. Oh, there are occasional flaws in the way the vanilla ice cream mixes in...✼••┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈••✼

1-hour system. The ice cream was 800 yen (tax included) and tasted like red beans... not delicious. The grape flavor was only at the beginning and not tasty afterwards. Should I have mixed it? Inside the store, flowers were hung one by one, which was surreal and funny. The counter area is a perfect spot for Instagram photos!!

Is Instagrammable still popular? Photogenic space. Colorful cream soda. Tastes like regular soda and regular ice cream. Perfect for teenage girls to come with friends. The menu is limited and a bit unsatisfying.

Cream soda specialty store on Kyoto Teramachi Street. I heard about it from an acquaintance and decided to visit. The interior is filled with pink and very cute, giving off a girly atmosphere. But there are also male customers dining alone, which is reassuring! Cream soda lovers come in all genders! They also serve pancakes only on weekends, so I ordered one!
- Cream Soda: 690 yen (Small size 600 yen)
They offer 24 different flavors, many of which I have never seen before. I chose Blood Orange. It had a slight bitterness and a subtle acidity, making it a sophisticated soda.
- Pancakes (Plain): 650 yen
Pancakes cooked on a hot plate. When you pour syrup on it, it sizzles on the hot plate, which is visually enjoyable. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The pancakes were delicious!
After ordering, please be mindful that the maximum stay time is 1 hour.

I went there because I like cream soda. It was surprisingly crowded on a Friday afternoon. I was seated on the second floor where they only served drinks at that time. I ordered a mini cream soda and a cup of black tea. I chose a reddish blood orange soda because I like red. The tea cup was heart-shaped and cute. The taste was just average, like any other cream soda and black tea. It's worth going once for the novelty factor.

I was thirsty, so I went into "Shinsetsu," which is famous for its colorful cream sodas. It seems that there is a time limit during busy hours, but since I'm alone, it's fine. When I was a child, the neighborhood cafes only had green cream soda, but nowadays there are so many colorful options. I chose the blue one, thinking the taste wouldn't be much different. It was a nostalgic taste. Taking a picture of two drinks side by side and posting it on Instagram, is it Instagrammable?? Thank you for the meal♪
