You can order a spicy hot pot from the start, or opt for the extra spicy set (condiments and kimchi) as a topping to change the flavor later. There are also simple and quick side dishes to nibble on. For the finishing touch, you can choose between Chinese noodles or a set with rice and egg. If you choose tomato as an additional topping, you can even have a risotto-style zosui (rice porridge). Motsunabe is packed with vegetables, making it a healthy choice popular among women. Another unexpected recommendation from this restaurant is their bottled wine, priced at 2,500 yen per bottle, which is quite affordable. I always end up drinking a lot of the soup because it's so addictive! I didn't make it to the cheese risotto this time, but the motsu yaki was really delicious. The motsu here is so good! If you want to eat plump and bouncy motsu, this is the place to go. The broth is a gentle soy sauce base with amazing umami flavor. It's so rich that by the time you get to the end, the soup is at its best taste.

I have been coming here for many years. It's been over 10 years. The food is definitely delicious. However, I have noticed a variation in the taste of the soup recently. It's still delicious though! I've been coming here for so long that I can tell. I hope they can go back to the taste they used to have. I will keep coming back while wishing for that! Healthy hotpot with plenty of vegetables! I don't usually choose motsunabe, but my friend took me to this place and it was amazing! The broth was incredible and left a lasting delicious taste. The braised pork we ordered as an appetizer was also tender and delicious. It was tough that it's a non-smoking place, but the food was so good that I forgot about the inconvenience. I think the motsunabe (tripe hot pot) here is the most delicious in Japan. It's hard to find motsunabe this tasty elsewhere. The flavor of the broth is unique and I wish they would tell me the secret. Located in Noda, it's popular even in the summer and always bustling in the winter. The tripe in the hot pot is very chewy, and I'd like to know which part it is from. There are so many things I want to know. Also, I highly recommend finishing your meal here with the tomato cheese risotto. It's surprisingly delicious.

Dining with friends who enjoy eating alone, Fukuya-chan, and a coworker who loves sake, we visited Ebessan in Noda. After exploring the area and laughing at Fukuya-chan's half-luck fortune, we decided to warm up with some food. We headed to a famous local motsunabe restaurant in Fukushima Ward. Despite being a nabe restaurant, the place was well insulated and warm. We ordered two servings of motsunabe, motsu shio, spicy cucumber, and tender cartilage stew. Of course, we also had some draft beer. The motsunabe had a light broth with plenty of cabbage, bean sprouts, leeks, and motsu. The portion was surprisingly large, but the light flavor made it easy to eat. The grilled motsu with salt and the tender cartilage stew were delicious. The draft beer served in a cute white ceramic mug was Asahi Jukusen, which our sake-loving coworker particularly enjoyed. The most surprising part was that the bill for the four of us was under 2000 yen! It was a great deal. Overall, the food was delicious, and the value for money was excellent. It's definitely worth visiting with a group to make the most of the nabe.

[Sunday, March 27, 2011] Today's theme: ♪ Dining at Fukumiya Noda Store After visiting VIE DE FRANCE Noda store, I went to Fukumiya Noda store located at 3-12-21 Noda, Fukushima-ku, Osaka. It is a ramen specialty store. It is close to Asahiya, Osaka Ohsho Noda store, Naniwaya Tamagawa store (Japanese sweets), and EKUBO (Japanese-style izakaya). Fukumiya Noda store has a signboard that stands out. This is actually the second store after Fukumiya Seiten store, and it is closer than the Seiten store. They serve a large variety of alcohol. We were seated at a table and started with a toast with beer. The motsunabe (offal hot pot) was served! We enjoyed it with Fukumiya's special "spicy cucumber" as a side dish. The hot pot was finished in no time. It's always a fun place to visit no matter how many times you go. Next, we went to Yakiniku (grilled meat) and Highball bar Kyu Tan.

I often go to this restaurant! The plump motsu (offal) and plenty of vegetables are delicious and healthy, so I end up eating too much... The tomato cheese risotto at the end is also delicious, so even though I'm already full from the hot pot, I can't help but eat more... I'm addicted to it. When it comes to motsu nabe (offal hot pot), it's FukuMiya. They give you a Yakult or apple juice as a parting gift, so I always go home feeling happy!
