Okidoki was temporarily closed, so I was looking for a nearby place to enjoy a spicy hot pot. Automatically ended up at OCAT when I saw the signboard (´^ω^`)ブフォwww As soon as I saw the sign, I decided to dine here!! I chose the Omi beef set and the domestic black wagyu set with Taiwanese spicy hot pot broth and yuzu salt broth. The set included hot pot vegetables, rice, soup, and a drink bar. For those who want to eat a lot of meat, the all-you-can-eat option is a great deal! I chose mushrooms, chrysanthemum greens, thin fried tofu, and tofu for the vegetables. The broth turned bright red, so I dug in! The spiciness grew on me as I ate. It was delicious and satisfying. If I were to come back, I would go for lunch next time. I went to the restaurant called Monto located on the 5th floor of OCAT, which serves hot pot and seafood. I had the lunch set which included beef hot pot for 1180 yen and pork hot pot for 1080 yen. The set came with rice, miso soup, and vegetables and mushrooms that were all you can eat buffet style. The buffet area was very clean and well-maintained, which left a great impression. Although they offer a course with all-you-can-eat meat, I was completely satisfied with the set menu. We had two types of broth to choose from, a Japanese-style broth and a sukiyaki broth. The sukiyaki broth was a bit light, so I recommend the Japanese-style broth. The pork hot pot was surprisingly popular, even though beef is usually preferred. The sofa seating was comfortable and there was no time limit, so we could enjoy our meal leisurely. It was a delightful dining experience!

I visited this restaurant for lunch. They offer a variety of meat options for shabu-shabu, and you can choose your broth. The vegetables and soft drinks are available at the buffet. The price varies depending on the type of meat. In the photo, you can see black wagyu beef, regular beef, and chicken. The black wagyu beef is reasonably priced at 1680 yen, so I decided to also order the regular beef for comparison, which was 1180 yen. Surprisingly, the chicken was only 970 yen. There were many vegetable options and free sesame sauce, ponzu, and condiments. The broth was relatively light, so the sauces and condiments were necessary. However, the yuzu salt broth was delicious. The black wagyu beef was good, but the regular beef was just okay. Despite that, being able to enjoy different flavors and the fun experience make this place very cost-effective at this price point. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the restaurant around noon. There were no customers. The freshness of the vegetables in the buffet was terrible (fatal). The sesame sauce was sour and had a film on the surface, maybe it was oxidized? I saw some mess in a corner (on the floor, etc.). There were many options, so I was excited at first, but... oh well... Also, all the staff were foreigners. I couldn't tell if they were Chinese or from another country. The kitchen conversations were all in the local language. Maybe it would be better to have local cuisine instead of this foreign cuisine (Japanese) shabu-shabu restaurant... I thought about unnecessary things like that. Like a Chinese restaurant run by Chinese people or a Korean restaurant run by Koreans. Well, that's completely unnecessary, right? I won't visit again, but if the food is all fresh and the seasonings are not oxidized or have a film, then it would be a great restaurant.

The lunch service is available until 4:00 PM, so hurry up and go! Last order is at 3:00 PM, so we decided on our order as soon as we entered. We were the only customers for the 3:00 PM lunch... The spacious interior mostly consists of sofa seats, creating a relaxing atmosphere. It seems suitable for families and those with children. There are 130 seats at Oobako. First, you can choose from two types of soup for the hot pot. One is "yuzu salt" and the other automatically becomes the shoyu (or miso) broth for the hot pot set that I ordered. Our order included: - Yellowtail shabu-shabu hot pot set (1,628 yen including tax) - Motsu (offal) hot pot set (935 yen including tax) The yellowtail is served shabu-shabu style and the yuzu salt broth was delicious. There was a surprising amount of motsu in the hot pot and it was tasty, but the shoyu broth felt quite diluted, so we ended up eating it with ponzu. The set meal also included squid tempura, miso soup, pickles like oshinko and kimchi, white rice, and a choice of vegetables + main dish. The hot pot vegetables, rice, udon, and soft drinks are all-you-can-eat! You can choose from a variety of items at the bar, such as sausages, fried chicken, tofu, and finishing with ramen or udon. The portion sizes are small, so you can choose your favorite items in small amounts, which is nice. The leafy vegetables, especially the Chinese cabbage, all had sesame spots (black dots) on them, indicating that they were not in the best condition. It doesn't affect the taste, but it may bother some people, so it would be better if this was improved. The staff seemed a bit idle when there were no customers, but their service was very polite. It seems that the flow of food and drinks in OCAT is quite challenging, so it might be a good idea to add more impactful menu items or special deals depending on the time of day. All-you-can-eat and drink restaurant offering beef, pork, and chicken for around 3300 yen. The quality of meat and vegetables is not bad. Asahi Super Dry beer is also included in the all-you-can-drink menu. However, all the staff members are foreigners, and the miso soup was cold and the rice looked old, which is not good.

I went to a hot pot restaurant for lunch. I ordered the pork hot pot set. First, I chose two types of hot pot broth, both of which were the same type of super spicy broth. The pot was set on an IH heater and the pork was brought to the table. Then, I went to the variety bar to pick my favorite ingredients. The pork slices were very thin and tender. The vegetables included garlic chives, green onions, shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, tofu, Chinese broccoli, bean sprouts, onions, cabbage, and ramen noodles, all you can eat. In the pickles section, there was unlimited kimchi, which was slightly fermented and to my liking. I made a delicious spicy pork kimchi rice by putting the shabu-shabu pork on rice and wrapping it in kimchi. It was really tasty. At the drink bar, I could have unlimited soft drinks, including machine coffee. I usually drink black coffee, and this machine coffee was surprisingly good. The total bill was 1012 yen, but by paying cashless, I only paid 912 yen. I have been living a cashless life this month and it's so convenient not to carry a wallet around. The restaurant is located at OCAT Mall 5F, 1-4-1 Minatomachi, Naniwa-ku, Osaka City.

When I informed them that there would be a wheelchair user in our party when making the reservation, they provided a relatively wide aisle and a suitable table on the day of our visit. The all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu course for 4,000 yen was great with a wide variety of seafood, meat, soft drinks, and vegetables. It's attractive that there's no time limit depending on how crowded it is. However, both the meat and fish tasted like something you could get at a regular supermarket. The rice was dry and lukewarm. The shrimp was crunchy. The sea urchin broth was so light it almost tasted like hot water. The yuzu salt was refreshing and had just the right amount of flavor. Overall, spending close to 10,000 yen for two people made us feel like it was tasty but maybe not worth it for a repeat visit.

I went to OCT with my friends and had lunch. We ordered the Buri Shabu Shabu set for 1598 yen and the Four Kinds of Seafood Hot Pot set for 993 yen. They also offered White Miso and Yuzu Miso for the hot pot. During lunchtime, they had unlimited rice, meat bowl, vegetables, udon, soba, tofu, pickles, and furikake. While I didn't have much of an appetite, I mainly stuck to eating furikake rice, pickles, and soup.

Today, I went to Namba for work. At around 12:30 PM, my three colleagues and I decided to have lunch at OCAT. As we were wandering around, we stumbled upon a restaurant offering all-you-can-eat dashi hot pot for only 1200 yen. It included beef, pork, and vegetables. We all decided to give it a try and entered the spacious restaurant called Kado-san. We were seated immediately and ordered the lunch special, which included all-you-can-eat beef and pork hot pot. We were told that we could only order more meat based on the number of empty plates we had. We started with beef, pork loin, and pork belly. The staff poured dashi soup (yuzu salt and tonkotsu) into the pot and we helped ourselves to the vegetables. When the soup started boiling, we added the meat. The beef was a bit tough, but the pork loin was delicious and easy to eat. The pork belly had a bit too much fat. Overall, we ended up having around 15 servings of meat among the four of us and we were extremely full by the end of the meal. It was a satisfying dining experience!

You can choose 2 types of dashi out of 6 options: hot pot and yuzu salt chanoko. For meat, there are 3 options: beef, pork belly, and pork loin. Seafood set includes shrimp, scallops, white fish, and fish cakes. Vegetables and desserts are self-service. There were instances where the drink order was forgotten or the soup was not refilled with the original soup. However, the staff promptly addressed these issues when pointed out. The dashi wasn't particularly delicious, and I wish there were more seafood options since it is advertised as a seafood restaurant.

I came to JR Namba and found a new restaurant called Yoko. I used to go to Super Dry a few times, but they no longer have the fried chicken lunch that I remember. The shabu-shabu lunch only has pork now, the cheaper beef shabu-shabu lunch is also gone. This place looks nice, it just opened on March 1st. The dinner seems expensive, but for lunch, they offer a 60-minute all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu for 1382 yen including tax. The meat slices are thin, but you can enjoy both beef and pork shabu-shabu with additional meat available. The seafood includes shrimp, scallops, and later they replenished monkfish and shrimp dumplings. They don't serve kushikatsu for lunch, but the shabu-shabu with meat and seafood, udon, rice, hot coffee, sherbet, orange, and lemon were all satisfying. The broth for shabu-shabu comes in two types, salt and tonkotsu salt, both light and flavorful. The udon tasted better when dipped in the soup with meat. Overall, it was a delicious meal!

Seafood hotpot restaurant. It seems to have recently opened, so I decided to go after work. They offer all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat seafood hotpot. We started with a toast with draft beer and then began the hotpot! There were two types of broth for the hotpot, both full of umami flavor! There were various vegetables, seafood, skewers, ice cream, and cake! It's great for those who are health-conscious because of the abundance of vegetables. The Omi beef was also delicious and all-you-can-eat. I mainly enjoyed the meat and shrimp (^○^) The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and spacious, making it suitable for large gatherings or parties. If I ever crave hotpot again, I would definitely come back. Thank you for the feast!
