After a long time, I visited Shibuya Scramble Square. When it comes to stores in commercial facilities, I like to bookmark them all at once and strategize on how to visit them. Once I have completed all the bookmarked stores, I mark the location as "Mission Complete @ Hiro" and rarely visit it again. As for Shibuya Scramble Square, I have already visited the notable stores, so it has been years since I last went shopping there. However, on this occasion, I decided to go out because a branch of a store I had bookmarked elsewhere was located there. This is "Katanukiya Ecute Edition Shibuya Store," a brand known for its Baumkuchen. This store is heavily focused on appearance, even more so than previous series, similar to "Atelier Ryza." Well, it's not so much about appearance as it is about focusing on thighs... it's more accurate to say that. It's a long-running series with many loyal fans, but sales reportedly increased more than tenfold after focusing on Ryza... thighs are truly justice. This store features square-shaped Baumkuchen with illustrations printed on them. The illustrations are cut out, creating a Katanuki-like effect. While Ryza is not square, but rather created by Gust (it's complicated). The main product is one with a panda illustration. There were Shibuya-exclusive designs like Shibuhachi, as well as collaborations with Sanrio and Rilakkuma. Here's what I ate: Lemon Panda Baum - Lemon-flavored Baum with a panda holding a lemon inside. The panda can be easily taken out by breaking it open. The icing on top is not too sweet, with a refreshing lemon flavor. Twin Panda Baum - Plain-flavored Baum with a small panda inside a larger panda. The twin pandas inside can be carefully removed separately. My Melody - Sanrio collaboration. Strawberry flavor with strong icing. Cinnamon Roll - Sanrio collaboration. Salted caramel flavor. All Sanrio characters were in salted caramel flavor for some reason. Shibuya Shibuhachi Baum - Maple flavor, Shibuya store exclusive. The shape makes collaborations easy, so maybe they could collaborate with anime or games. Overall, the cinnamon roll had the highest quality in terms of design. Thank you for the meal!

I went into a shop on the first floor of Shibuya's Scramble Square, located right in the middle of the floor. It seemed to be the main store in Ginza. They are famous for their panda-shaped baumkuchen. They had various flavors like plain, strawberry, salted caramel, milk, maple, banana, and even twin pandas. I bought the plain one for around 500 yen. I also bought panda-shaped cookies just for fun. The baumkuchen wasn't as dry as I expected, and the frosting on top was made of some mysterious material, maybe marzipan. It was sweet. It's more of a novelty item to enjoy the panda shape. The cookies were simple and tasty. Good for kids' snacks. The panda shape might make your hands sticky though.

These Baums are perfect for snacking while walking around and come in various patterns and flavors, making them a great choice for souvenirs.

They also had Panda sablé cookies and rusk available.

I received a Panda Balm at Katanukiya. It had a moderate sweetness, was refreshing and delicious, and helped me relax from fatigue.

I love Shiba Inus, so I recently got a Baumkuchen cake featuring Hachiko, the Akita Inu. It comes in different expressions and looks very cute! The taste is pretty average though, haha. I think it's good for creating a buzz! 😊✨
