I visited the OMM Building dining area at Temmabashi. It was my first time at Ganko Sushi, and the restaurant had an elegant atmosphere with a clientele mostly consisting of older people. The staff seemed relaxed. I ordered the "Hina Tendon Set" (tax included 858 yen), which includes tempura rice bowl and choice of udon or soba. Both dishes were average in taste. It may sound harsh, but I think it was worth the price.

When it comes to sushi, GanKo is famous in Osaka. It is a well-known large chain restaurant, so there is no need to write a review, but since it was my first time visiting, I will share my experience. During lunchtime, they offer a separate menu with affordable options. I tried the Sushi Set Meal with Tempura, Miso Soup, and Pickles for 1780 yen. It may be considered pricey for lunch, but for sushi, this price is reasonable. The sushi pieces were delicious and satisfying. They also have private rooms in the back, making it suitable for business lunches. Personally, I was drawn to the 500 yen bento boxes sold at the front of the store.

The weather was nice and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, so I went to Osaka Castle Park for flower viewing. Especially in the Nishinomaru Garden, around 300 cherry blossoms, mainly Somei Yoshino, are known as a famous spot. It was a happy time surrounded by cherry blossoms. After finishing flower viewing, I looked for a lunch spot at OMM Building and found "Ganko Sushi" on the B2F. The spacious restaurant with a Japanese atmosphere was a calming space, and the staff in traditional Japanese clothing were very pleasant. I had the Hina Tendon set meal (780 yen), where you can choose between soba or udon. The tempura was crispy and the tempura dipping sauce was delicious. The soba, fried tofu, and dashi broth were also delicious. It was nice to have hojicha available in a pot.

I saw a takeout eel bowl being sold in front of the store and felt like having some eel! I entered the store thinking it might be cheap, but the portion was satisfying without having to rely on white rice. It may not be ideal to consume eel in a casual or event-like manner, but this taste really lifts your spirits during hot weather. The staff at Ganko Sushi are always kind at every store, making you feel like you're in a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn). This place was no exception, and I felt the difference in hospitality compared to other food establishments with their subtle gestures of hospitality. The interior was clean and there were partitions between tables, so I could spend time without any worries during the pandemic.

I successfully managed to compose a haiku. I visited Ganko Sushi located in the basement of the OMM Building in Temmabashi, where they offer lunch even on Sundays. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a traditional Japanese restaurant, with female staff dressed in elegant kimono. We were given the option of sitting at the counter or a table, and we chose a cozy private room with gold screen-like walls. I ordered the Fried Oyster Set Meal (with red miso soup) for 980 yen. The rice, which is free for refills, was surprisingly delicious. The main dish of plump fried oysters was served with salad and pickles, along with tartar sauce and ponzu on the side. The salad dressing was similar to coleslaw and very tasty. The ponzu had a sweet flavor, which might be an original touch from Ganko Sushi. In addition to the red miso soup, they also offer udon or soba noodles, or a sashimi set meal with red miso soup. Overall, it was a delightful meal.

The chain sushi restaurant "Ganko Sushi Temmabashi" is like the "Sushizanmai" in Kanto. I checked their website and found out they also have shops in Tokyo. I had the Gomosaba and Tetchiri for lunch on a holiday. The Tetchiri cost 1,980 yen, which is a luxurious choice for lunch. Last year, there was a campaign with cheaper prices, but this campaign is also very welcome. Thank you for the meal.

Located in the food court on the B2 floor of the OMM Building directly connected to Keihan Temmabashi Station, Ganeko Sushi Temmabashi is a go-to spot for me when I want a reliable dining option. Today, I decided to stop by after noticing it wasn't too crowded. I ordered the nigiri and zaru soba set, and was satisfied with the generous portion of sushi for the price. The sushi rice was slightly sweet, and the soba didn't have any standout characteristics, but it was a quick and satisfying lunch option. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Ganko Sushi" located in the underground dining area of OMM Building near Temmabashi Station. I was seated in a private room and enjoyed a sushi set meal which included various types of sushi and sliced udon noodles. The quality of the sushi was better than conveyor belt sushi restaurants, but it still had a casual dining feel to it. While you can also sit at the counter, considering the location in Osaka, I couldn't help but feel drawn to more casual sushi restaurants in the area.

Located a 3-5 minute walk from Temmabashi Station, GanKo Sushi Temmabashi is a popular sushi restaurant with multiple locations in Osaka. You can enjoy freshly made sushi at affordable prices here. They also have a variety of set meals, making it easy to enjoy something other than sushi. I ordered the popular sushi set meal this time. The sushi, with all the classic toppings, is of high quality compared to conveyor belt sushi, yet still reasonably priced, making it perfect for a quick lunch. They also have a great selection of hot pot dishes, making it a good option for a drinking party. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you for the meal!

After a long time, I had lunch at Ganko. The menu hasn't changed much. I ended up ordering Negitoro and Zaru Soba. That's about it.

Many restaurants are struggling due to the pandemic, but it seems that Ganko-san is holding up well with the quality they offer at this price. That's it.

I came here for dinner on a Sunday evening in late May, after attending a furniture event at OMM. I arrived right when the restaurant opened. It was so cold inside that I had to ask for a blanket. It's already that time of year when you need to be prepared for strong air conditioning.

In the basement of Temmabashi OMM, there is a sushi restaurant called "Ganko Sushi". I was intrigued by the mango souvenir POP at the entrance, so I decided to go in. They also had something called "Tofu Baumkuchen" for sale, which I bought for 1,080 yen (tax included). The receipt referred to it as "T Baumkuchen" in katakana, but the box clearly said "Ganko Sushi". The tofu baumkuchen was subtly sweet, maybe a bit lacking in sweetness at first, but it turned out to be quite good for you since it's made with tofu. I tried this unique tofu baumkuchen and found it to be soft and delicious.

Today, instead of just having a meal, I needed a large restaurant for a meeting with overseas clients (6 people), so I visited "Ganko" ^^; We placed our orders first and then chatted for a while. The tonkatsu got a bit soggy while we were talking, but if you think of it as a katsudon, it's not a problem at all. I ordered the katsudon set meal (with miso soup) for 880 yen (excluding tax). After the meeting, I ordered a cola. The staff were friendly and the service was great. Thank you for the meal.

I had never written a review about Ganko before, so I will write one here. ① Edamame (410 yen) I ordered this as there were no appetizers served at this restaurant. It is a standard dish made from domestically grown black edamame. ② Octopus with wasabi (518 yen) This dish is not the typical bottled octopus with wasabi, but rather fresh octopus sliced by the restaurant and served with wasabi. It's amazing how a simple touch can make a dish so different. ③ Seasonal tempura assortment (1058 yen) This dish includes large prawns, conger eel, pumpkin, green pepper, and more. It's quite a generous portion, enough for two people to share. ④ Sashimi assortment (3002 yen) This assortment includes sea bream, horse mackerel, tuna, bonito, sea urchin, sweet shrimp, conger eel, and abalone. The freshness of the fish was a concern since it's a chain restaurant, but the sea bream and tuna were particularly fresh, and the sea urchin didn't have that strange taste you sometimes find in conveyor belt sushi places. It seems like they put a lot of effort into their signature dishes. ⑤ Sushi restaurant-style Chawanmushi (626 yen) This Chawanmushi is packed with mushrooms, mitsuba, and seafood that are commonly used as sushi toppings. On this day, it included conger eel. ⑥ Sushi assortment (1598 yen) Some of the sashimi in this assortment were the same as what I had already eaten, but for the price, it was quite a generous selection. It would have been even better if it came with some miso soup or something. The service and food quality at this chain restaurant are quite high. While you can order sushi a la carte, ordering set meals or combos is much more cost-effective.

There is also a great value lunch set available, but I wanted to have sushi as my main dish, so I chose the (sushi set) from the regular menu. The sushi included tuna, eel, shrimp, salmon, yellowtail, negitoro roll, egg, and octopus. I wasn't expecting much to begin with, but the thickness of the fish slices... Especially the tuna was disappointingly thin. The highlight was the tempura. It included shrimp, lotus root, green pepper, eggplant, and pumpkin. They were fried to a crisp and had a nice sweetness to them. This set also came with a chawanmushi and miso soup, all for 2030 yen including tax. Hmm... If it's for lunch, it could be a bit cheaper.

Ganko's unique and wonderful customer service remains top-notch as always. The staff greets customers warmly with phrases like "Welcome!", "Thank you for waiting!", "Thank you very much!", "Please come back to Ganko again!", and "Yes, gladly!". The lunch menu includes a variety of options such as steak set meal, sashimi set meal, pork cutlet set meal, shrimp tempura rice bowl, sushi set meal, negitoro rice bowl, salmon roe rice bowl, chicken nanban set meal, oyster fry set meal, and hot pot udon with negitoro set meal. Miso soup and rice are free for refills. The reviewer decided to try the steak set meal this time, which came with sizzling steak on a hot plate with fried potatoes and broccoli as sides. The steak had a slightly rare center and a firm texture, but was considered satisfactory for the price. The double sauce of soy sauce and butter added flavor to the meal. The reviewer couldn't resist getting seconds of rice and miso soup. In conclusion, Ganko's lunch options at any branch are great value for money. Enjoy your meal!

Before taking a walk to Osaka Castle, I visited Ganko Sushi in Temmabashi. Looking at the menu outside the restaurant, I was surprised by the wide variety of options and the reasonable prices! I ordered a sushi set (with tempura) and the weekend lunch staple, a draft beer. The sushi included classic choices like tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and egg, as well as some rolls, totaling about 8 pieces. The taste was decent, considering the menu is under 1000 yen, it was surprisingly delicious. The tempura was crispy and paired well with the sushi. With a variety of menu options like steak and rice bowls, I definitely plan on going back.
