In a rush, I decided to indulge in peach dishes. As summer is coming to an end, I suddenly realized that I haven't really eaten many peaches this year! With more and more shops ending their peach sweets menu, I quickly searched on Instagram for Osaka x Peach Parfait, and found this place. Originally, I was intrigued by their matcha pudding and thought of them as a traditional cafe with their menu, but I was surprised to find out they also serve seasonal fruit parfaits. I visited them on the last day. The outside was damp as if it was about to rain, but the Tiffany blue awning of the Catjita Coffee shop caught my eye and felt refreshing. The retro impression of the shop, with its arched windows that were maybe from its previous life as a cafe, added to the charm. Upon entering the shop, the well-regulated temperature felt comfortable on the skin, and the tidy and organized interior made me feel a good flow of energy, allowing me to relax. Now, onto the main attraction - the parfait: Homemade peach compote with Tayberries, Peche Melba, and gelato parfait (¥1,480). The peaches are from Yamanashi prefecture, ripe and made into compote. Lavender, lemongrass, and Hungarian honey are used, giving it a delightful aroma. Followed by Tayberries, Peche Melba, two types of gelato from glacier concorde, a white chocolate cheesecake, fresh mint scent, peach compote syrup, raspberry syrup jelly, and almond crumble for added texture. The quality of all elements was surprising, and the combination of sweetness, aroma, and softness of the peaches was enhanced and contrasted in different ways, allowing me to enjoy peaches from various angles. The lavender scent on the peaches was particularly lovely. The compote was juicy and fresh, which was great. The parfait was slightly on the smaller side but packed with a satisfying amount of content. However, it was not complete yet. As I was about to take a photo of the parfait, the staff brought a miniature cat for me. The cute expression of the cat was so adorable, and I understood why it was so popular. Parfaits and cats really go well together. Seeing the various poses and situations of the cats, I couldn't help but want to capture them in photos. This visual image is quite strong. It's picturesque. The staff members must be cat lovers, judging from their careful work and the cozy atmosphere of the shop. Since I didn't try their signature coffee this time, I would like to visit again for their matcha pudding (served with lemon sauce, which sounds delightful).
