In the past two months, this is my fifth flight. I was a little curious, but after passing through security, there is a food court in the boarding zone. And they have a ramen shop. I definitely wanted to try it. So today, I passed through security early and dashed to the food court. It's called Tomikawa Seimenjo. It seems to be a ramen shop with its main store in Furano. There are various types of ramen, but I ordered a simple miso ramen. I was pleased to hear the buzzer indicating completion in about 5 minutes. Even when you're short on time, it might be okay. The appearance doesn't have a lot of lard floating, so it's a bit different from Sapporo miso ramen. The soup is a type with a strong miso flavor. The taste is rich, so it leaves an impact. The noodles are thin like soba noodles. They seem to be made of whole wheat flour, with a color that resembles soba noodles. In Hokkaido, there are many chewy egg noodles, but this type is also good. However, it feels like it's a bit overshadowed by the richness of the soup. Thank you for the meal.

I tried several miso ramen during my trip to Hokkaido, but I hadn't been able to try miso corn butter ramen! I found a shop inside the domestic flight restricted area, so I quickly had a bowl. The shop was set up like a food court with two other shops in the same area. The miso corn butter ramen had butter that melted into the soup, giving it a rich flavor. The noodles were thin and made from Hokkaido wheat, with a fragrant and unique texture similar to soba noodles.

The corn butter miso ramen with spicy miso topping at the food court inside the gate was delicious! I was surprised by how tasty it was since I don't usually eat miso ramen. The richness of the corn butter paired well with the soup, but I thought it might be too heavy on its own, so adding the spicy miso topping really balanced it out perfectly. The noodles were a unique type and very tasty. The downside is that it's a bit pricey, but it's understandable since it's at the airport.

Ramen restaurant inside the security inspection area. Despite coming to Hokkaido, I didn't have a chance to eat ramen, so I decided to have it at the airport. The store is located in a food court-like area. The staff didn't seem very friendly. I ordered miso ramen for 1,000 yen and the alarm rang after about 5 minutes. The soup didn't have much flavor, almost like instant ramen soup. The green onions were dry, hardly any vegetables were included. The chashu had a strange smell and a lot of fat. The noodles were thin. While the portion was decent, I doubted if it really matched the soup. I have never had such an unappetizing ramen recently. I wonder if the main store serves better ramen. It may be difficult to replicate the exact same taste, but considering that this is the last ramen that foreigners or tourists eat, I wish they provided something a bit tastier.

Last ramen at New Chitose Airport. The staff seemed overwhelmed as they were working alone and things were getting hectic when it got busy. The corn butter ramen had a rich sweetness to it! The size of the green onions was a bit big and slightly bitter. Thank you for the meal!!

New Chitose Airport has a food court called "Hokkaido Shokudo" in the restricted area, where a ramen shop from Furano is located. The shop is known for its soup without chemical seasonings and noodles made from roasted wheat from Furano. I tried their Shrimp Salt Ramen for 1,100 yen with an additional Smoked Chashu for 400 yen. The noodles were unique with a dark color, almost resembling soba or konjac noodles. They were soft and lacked the desired firmness for my taste. The saltiness was a bit on the high side, which may be suitable for hot summer days, but it didn't quite match my expectations of shrimp ramen from a popular shop.

At the end of my Hokkaido trip, I had miso ramen. I didn't have high expectations since it was a restaurant in a food court-like space, but the noodles were delicious and the soup was authentic miso ramen, very tasty! I will definitely visit again!

I had a business trip in the afternoon. Had lunch at New Chitose Airport before departure. The airport lobby was quite crowded. Since it was lunchtime, all the restaurants had long lines. So today, I decided to eat after entering the gate. I tried Tonkawa Seimenjo, which I was curious about. Their special miso ramen costs 1,350 yen. The noodles made from whole grain stone-milled wheat from Furano have a unique texture!! It is described as similar to soba noodles, and it certainly is. The smooth and slightly translucent noodles have a texture similar to konjac or cold noodles. The chashu was substantial and the toppings were luxurious ♡ However, the rich miso soup was too salty, so I couldn't fully enjoy the noodles and toppings (>_<。) Maybe they need more practice ===========

I ordered the special miso ramen (1350 yen) and a draft beer (550 yen). The menu showed a picture of a beer mug, but it was served in a plastic cup, which was disappointing. However, it was delicious. The ramen had a very rich miso soup made with Furano-grown organic wheat, stone-milled special noodles, three kinds of chashu, half a seasoned egg, sliced purple onions, mitsuba, and wood ear mushrooms - the ingredients were really luxurious. However, the saltiness of the miso soup was too strong, so I couldn't taste the flavors of the ingredients. But I heard that miso ramen at specialty shops in Sapporo also tends to be on the salty side, so maybe this is the standard in Hokkaido? Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Tomikawa Seimenjo New Chitose Airport Store" on May 7th, it was my first visit. I was on a business trip to the Kanto region and had to travel during Golden Week, even though it's a holiday...but all the restaurants were so crowded during GW. I gave up and went to this place around 2 pm after passing through the security check at the airport. It's a dining space with three restaurants under the name "Hokkaido Shokudo". I checked the menu and noticed that the prices were a bit higher compared to the main store in Furano. I ordered the miso ramen for 1000 yen, and added the topping "corn butter" which made it 1400 yen, a bit too expensive. I placed my order and received a buzzer. In just 3 minutes, my order was ready...it was surprisingly fast. Did they even have time to cook the noodles? The toppings included thinly sliced char siu, kikurage mushrooms, sliced purple onions, mitsuba, and white sesame seeds on the side. I sprinkled some shichimi at the pick-up counter. The noodles had a color that resembled whole wheat, but also looked a bit like konjac noodles. The texture was similar to konjac noodles, which might be a hit or miss for some people. The miso soup had a different taste compared to the usual miso ramen, and it had a slightly orange color. I felt a bit disappointed that there were no green onions in the toppings, but considering the cost per kilogram, mitsuba is supposed to be much more expensive. By the way, I like mitsuba. It was my first time having ramen with mitsuba in it. I could tell that each ingredient was carefully chosen, but overall, the balance seemed a bit off. Thank you for the meal.

It was a great whirlwind tour of Sapporo, and as I climbed the escalator from Sapporo Subway Station to JR Sapporo Station, an elderly woman in front of me suddenly collapsed on top of me due to a temporary loss of consciousness. Due to my training, I remained calm and managed the situation, ensuring the safety of the elderly woman. We arrived at New Chitose Airport, and feeling hungry after the adrenaline rush, I searched for a ramen restaurant. Since I had already passed through security, I had no choice but to go to Tomikawa Seimenjo inside the Hokkaido Shokudo. It seemed to be a ramen shop from Furano. I forgot to take a picture of the restaurant, so I am sharing a photo provided by the restaurant. Currently, there is no longer any spacing between seats. I ordered a large portion of miso ramen for 1430 yen. The visual presentation looked delicious. The overall view of the restaurant was impressive. Everyone's favorite noodle lifting video. Surprisingly, the noodles were made from whole wheat flour. They grind the wheat flour with a millstone. The vitamin B1 in the wheat husks burns carbohydrates, making it calorie-free (laughs). It's amazing. The firm noodles paired well with the miso soup, creating an indescribable deliciousness. The chashu pork and the egg were excellent as well. To have such a wonderful restaurant waiting at the very end of a whirlwind tour is incredible. Sapporo, the gourmet city, has some amazing hidden gems.

On this day, returning from a business trip in Hokkaido, I was looking forward to a showdown with the famous ramen shop, Tomikawa Seimenjo at New Chitose Airport. Just like last time, I started with the light drinking set, but this performance... in just one month, it has become so lackluster. The texture of the chashu player, and above all, the positioning that adorns the diamond, has shifted disappointingly. However, the taste hasn't changed much, but it feels like something has changed... well, it's perfect for killing time before boarding!

I have completely conquered the Ramen Dojo at New Chitose Airport (although there are some shops that are not reflected). While looking for something else, I found a branch of Tomikawa Seimenjo in the waiting lounge after check-in. The main store is in Furano, and they use whole wheat noodles for their ramen, which I can't easily go to the actual location. So, I decided to try it out. It's a food court style, and when you make a purchase, you receive a buzzer to wait for your order. It's lunchtime, but surprisingly not crowded. Now, let's try the ramen that arrived. They are known for using whole wheat noodles, but personally, I didn't find it to my liking. I still prefer ramen with regular wheat noodles. However, the soup and vegetable toppings were delicious.

During my trip to Hokkaido, I did something quite unlike myself. I only had ramen once, and it was a salt-flavored one. I should have definitely tried miso ramen at least once while staying in Sapporo... With that regret in mind, I passed through airport security and headed towards the gate for JAL's departure, only to find a food court right in front of me, with one shop in particular catching my eye! After checking reviews on Tabelog, it seemed like they had a ramen with unique noodles. However, that didn't matter. I wanted miso ramen. Encountering this place at the very last moment felt like the guidance of the ramen god. So, I ordered the ramen. Soon, the pickup buzzer rang, and I went to get the freshly made ramen. I brought it back to my seat and first admired its appearance. The chopped wood ear mushrooms stood out, and the color looked good, but what really caught my eye was the homemade noodles made with whole wheat flour. At a glance, the thin curly noodles almost resembled soba noodles. Despite being made with whole wheat flour, they had a good firmness. However, if asked whether these noodles were the best match for miso soup, I would have to shake my head. It's all about the image. The image gets in the way. For me, Hokkaido (Sapporo) ramen is associated with those yellow noodles like Nishiyama Seimen's, and I might be stubbornly convinced that those are the best. Individually, the noodles are delicious. The soup is delicious too. There's nothing to complain about. However... I may have reached middle age and lost some flexibility. Or maybe I've just become a stubborn old man. Evaluating this delicious noodles and soup as "delicious miso ramen" was difficult for me in my current state...

The other day, I visited the famous restaurant Fukawa Seimenjo at New Chitose Airport, which has become synonymous with the ramen industry's Keito Monbetsu. The reason why this restaurant at New Chitose Airport, Fukawa Seimenjo, holds the name of Keito Monbetsu and never lets go of it is because Keito Monbetsu, at the age of 30, started playing baseball at Fukawa Baseball Sports Boys' Club when he was in the first grade at Fukawa Elementary School in Hidaka Town. The "Fukawa" in Fukawa Elementary School and Fukawa Baseball Sports Boys' Club, and the "Fukawa" in Fukawa Seimenjo at New Chitose Airport, are strongly and brilliantly linked. Now, Keito Monbetsu, 30, is a left-handed pitcher from Monbetsu Town, Hokkaido. He started playing baseball when he joined Fukawa Baseball Sports Boys' Club in the first grade at Fukawa Elementary School, and was selected for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters Junior team in his sixth year. During his time at Fukawa Middle School in Hidaka Town, he was a member of the softball baseball team and was selected for the prefectural select team. After graduating from middle school, he enrolled at Tokai University Sapporo High School, where he formed a battery with Yudai Karakawa. Although he did not advance in the district tournament during his time there and was unable to set foot on the Koshien grounds, he clocked 150 km/h in the spring district tournament in 2022, attracting attention from the pros, and submitted a professional draft application along with his teammate Yudai Karakawa. In the professional baseball draft meeting on October 20, he was selected in the second round by the Hanshin Tigers, signing a provisional contract with a signing bonus of 60 million yen and an annual salary of 7.2 million yen. Now, as for Keito Monbetsu, 30, in the ramen industry, also known as Fukawa Seimenjo at New Chitose Airport, this stadium is located in the departure lobby after passing through the security checkpoint at New Chitose Airport. I, for one, made my debut against the memorable Keito Monbetsu, 30, at the famous Fukawa Seimenjo at New Chitose Airport, with a starting lineup like a draft beer set. In the starting lineup of the ramen industry's Keito Monbetsu, 30, at the famous Fukawa Seimenjo at New Chitose Airport, we have players like Chashu, Nitamago, Chicken Skewers, and Draft Beer, creating a luxurious and dazzling lineup. Their performance is so outstanding that it cannot be defeated even with a full glass of draft beer! It's amazing!!!

Beyond the baggage inspection gate at New Chitose Airport, in the boarding area on the JAL side, there is a mini food court called "Hokkaido Shokudo" where three shops are gathered. Among them, "Tomikawa Seimenjo" seems to be a shop with its main store in Furano, with signatures of Satoshi Kuramoto displayed. When you order and pay at the register, you are given a pager, and when your order is ready, the pager will ring and you can go pick it up yourself. It's convenient for a quick bite before boarding. This time, without much thought, I ordered the miso ramen. I was surprised by the unique noodles when I started eating without any prior knowledge! In Hokkaido, ramen noodles are often yellow and curly egg noodles, but this one had noodles that were the color of soba... Looking at the shop's signage, their specialty seems to be "whole wheat." The texture was chewy and smooth. However, the soup had a strong miso flavor, overpowering the taste of the noodles... Perhaps the correct choice would have been the soy sauce ramen? Next time, I'll try the soy sauce ramen! By the way, the miso soup was delicious with its trendy rich flavor. #NewChitoseAirport #NewChitoseAirportGourmet #Ramen #Hokkaido

After passing through the security checkpoint at New Chitose Airport, you will find the Hokkaido Shokudo in the restricted area on the JAL side. I had miso ramen there. My first impression was that the noodles were thin! They are made with stone-ground wheat flour, so the noodles have a brownish color and a deep flavor from the wheat.

Arrived at New Chitose Airport and passed through security. Finished the boarding procedures which have recently become a hassle. With about an hour until the flight, it's lunchtime. Headed to "Hokkaido Shokudo" facing the JAL boarding lounge on the 2nd floor of the domestic terminal. They have a variety of gourmet dishes representing Hokkaido. While the ramen shops on the 3rd floor of the terminal building are crowded, "Hokkaido Ramen Dojo," this place is not. A hidden gem indeed. Chose "Tomichawan Seimenjo New Chitose Airport Store." Looking forward to it as the main store in Furano is a Bib Gourmand selected restaurant. The concept is a "ramen shop run by a noodle factory." Placed an order at the serving counter. "Shoyu Ramen" for 850 yen (tax included). Their specialty is the whole grain flour homemade stone-milled roasted Chinese thin noodles. They grind "Haruyokoi" wheat from Furano three times with the hulls intact, then blend two types of Furano wheat flour from Ebetsu Flour Mill. The binder is also a remarkable dedication using Furano "Sakura eggs." The black crunchy bits of wheat husk give it a soba-like appearance but it's different. A unique look. It's a one-of-a-kind wheat noodle. Delicious. Not slippery but chewy. Smells of smoked flavor. The soup is made with chicken base, kombu, and dried fish, simmered with Furano vegetables. It's refreshing but rich in flavor, with a deep taste. The slight spiciness goes well with the fragrant noodles. Oh, the texture is quite good on the throat. The flavor of chicken fat is strong. A platter of pork belly chashu and chicken chashu. The combination of melting fatty meat and refreshing chicken breast is lovely. The finely sliced bamboo shoots are crunchy and nice. The joy of shoyu ramen is wrapping the noodles with seaweed. This is definitely delicious. Well done!

New Chitose Airport still has many shops even after checking in. I chose the shrimp salt ramen from this shop located in the Hokkaido Food Court area. They claim to have soup delivered directly from a shop in Furano. The noodles have a very distinctive texture. The soup has a hint of shrimp flavor, but I felt like it lacked richness for a salt ramen. The smoked char siu was a nice touch, but overall, it was a bit mediocre. Next time, I will try the neighboring gyudon shop or seafood shop.
