Recommended by a colleague at work, I visited the conveyor belt sushi restaurant Topical in Furano. I heard it was crowded, so I went outside of lunch hours. However, it was still crowded with several tourists and foreigners. After a 15-minute wait, I was seated. The menu wasn't extensive, but there were fresh ingredients which raised my expectations. I enjoyed dishes like fresh horsehair crab, sweet shrimp marinated overnight, medium fatty tuna, extra-large botan shrimp, and crab soup. The portions of fish were generous while the rice was minimal, and the wasabi added a nice kick to each bite. Although I didn't take photos, all the other dishes were also delicious. My husband tried the grilled eel and said it was firm and tasty, not watery. The mackerel recommended by my colleague was also delicious, even though I don't usually eat it. Overall, the lack of watery dishes suggests good handling of frozen ingredients, which is a plus point. I have been to various conveyor belt sushi restaurants, but this one ranks high. While there weren't any energetic greetings commonly found at such places, the service was decent. I look forward to visiting during the season when Pacific saury is delicious. I love fresh Pacific saury, so I can't wait to try it here. Thank you for the meal!

It is a revolving sushi restaurant, but the plates are not rotating. You write your order on a paper and hand it to the chef, who then prepares the sushi in front of you. Although Furano is inland and doesn't have a sea, the locals highly recommend it! The Hokkaido scallops and homemade marinated mackerel were incredibly delicious. The miso soup was also satisfying and filling. I look forward to trying the seafood bowl next time.

It's so delicious that I visit twice a week, haha. The salmon is so good that I can't believe it's this price. The quality is really great and recently I've noticed more foreign customers coming in. It tends to get busy, so it's best to come with some extra time to spare!

Even though it's in Furano and there's no sea, I heard they have delicious conveyor belt sushi. It was my first visit and wow, it was delicious! They had scallops, surf clam, and mountain wasabi rolls, all handcrafted by skilled chefs. It's not your typical conveyor belt sushi, but a special one. My excitement for visiting Furano has definitely increased. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I was looking for a child-friendly restaurant to visit while traveling, and found this place. The bluefin tuna, salmon head soup, fresh grilled mackerel (not from Hokkaido), and homemade pickled mackerel were all delicious. The staff were all very friendly, and they even accommodated my child with smaller cuts of sushi rolls without any fuss. The sea urchin was a bit pricey, but it had a slight smell of alum which was a bit off-putting.

Bullet tour from Obihiro to Sorachi Part 2! After leaving Shinra Tiger, we made a stop at Akabira, Takikawa, and Sunagawa, and on the way back, we passed through Furano again to return to Obihiro! It was around 4:30 pm. We had ramen at Shinra Tiger about 3 hours ago, but my friend was starting to feel a little hungry, so when asked if we should go to another gourmet spot in Furano, we chose "Kaiten Sushi Tropical." The purpose of this visit was not specifically for gourmet food, but since we were there, we decided to have some delicious sushi before heading back. It was before dinner time, so the place was not too crowded. Since there were only two of us, we sat at the counter. There were four sushi chefs busy at the cutting board, skillfully preparing the sushi! We wrote down the sushi we wanted to order on the order sheet. Tuna, medium fatty tuna, conger eel, salmon, shrimp, surf clam, herring, and more... I apologize that I only have a photo of the tuna. Overall, all the fish slices here are thick! Despite being in the middle of Hokkaido without the sea nearby, Furano has some good quality fish. The medium fatty tuna also uses the best parts of the tuna. The conger eel is also different from the modern conveyor belt sushi chains, using good quality fish. And my personal favorite, the surf clam. It's crunchy and has a strong taste of the sea. My friend was also very satisfied. One thing that caught my attention was that all the chefs were too focused on making takeout sushi (laughs). It took quite a while for the orders placed inside the restaurant to be served. Maybe they had sudden takeout orders... Oh well (laughs). We had about 10 plates of sushi between the two of us, and we were perfectly satisfied. The rice portions were quite generous, so we felt quite full. I would love to come back here again... It was incredibly delicious! Thank you for the meal!!!

I stayed in Nakafurano for 2 nights, and on the second night, I had dinner at Topical. I arrived around 7:30 pm on a weekday and was lucky to find 2 empty seats at the counter. Here is what I ordered (from what I can remember): fresh herring, fresh oysters from Akkeshi, fresh scallops from Hokkaido, fatty salmon, squid, okra squid, 3 kinds of fatty tuna rolls, octopus head, octopus skin, and zangi (fried chicken). I was initially hesitant about having sushi in the inland area of Furano, but the sushi in Hokkaido was truly delicious. Sushi in Tokyo tends to feel a bit pricey due to transportation costs. I came here for dinner after spring skiing at New Furano Prince Hotel. Even though it was the off-season in Furano with no flower fields, I was satisfied with the meal. I would love to visit again.

It seemed to be a sushi restaurant loved by locals, and we were able to enjoy a leisurely meal. For lunch, there were great deals on bara-chirashi and seafood bowls. While the menu for individual dishes like fried foods was not extensive, everything was delicious. They also accepted cashless payments, which was convenient. Unfortunately, they declined the travel support coupon, but there was a sticker at the entrance that could probably be used, so maybe there was a lack of awareness. (Nov 2022)

Today's dinner was decided to be sushi, as I have not had any seafood since arriving in Hokkaido (lol). I stayed in Furano, so I searched for sushi restaurants in the town and visited this place. It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant where you order by filling out an order sheet. The sushi ingredients are fresh and brought in daily. They didn't have ikura, but I had akami, chutoro, shimesaba, uni, akagai, anago, botan ebi, nama sanma, and ika torigai. Everything was fresh and delicious! Thank you for the meal! m(_ _)m

When I traveled to Hokkaido with my friend, I suddenly felt like eating sushi in Furano, even though it's a place without the sea. We visited a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, and although the sushi wasn't rotating, we ordered as we went. I love tuna, squid, and scallops, so I ordered these items at this restaurant and was amazed. I didn't have high expectations because I think sushi prices can vary a lot, but the taste far exceeded my imagination. The restaurant didn't have a luxurious atmosphere, but the taste of the sushi was definitely on par with a sushi restaurant that costs around 10,000 yen per person. Especially, the fresh scallops were exquisite, and being able to eat this level of quality for less than 500 yen is wonderful. Probably frequented by locals, I highly recommend visiting this place when you are in Furano!

When you try the sushi, you will especially feel the freshness of the shellfish. The scallops have a firm texture and strong sweetness, while the tsubu shells have a crunchy texture with concentrated umami. After eating, I understood why this restaurant is so popular. Furano's only revolving sushi restaurant. I heard it's run by a fishmonger, so my expectations were high. I saw the chef taking out a pack of chutoro from inside. Instead of slicing it from a block, it was packed in slices of about 8 pieces each, like for commercial use, and then he molded it into sushi. But when it was served in front of me, it looked delicious. It had just the right amount of fat and texture, it was really good! Maybe it's in that form for reasons like supplying to other restaurants or not depending on the chef's skills. I convinced myself of various reasons. The silver halibut was also delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It seemed like a popular restaurant with a wait even for eat-in, and there was always a line for takeout as well. Despite being a revolving sushi restaurant, the sushi wasn't rotating, which may be a good thing considering the issue of food waste that is being raised. Being inland in Hokkaido, we can't expect the same level of freshness that Hokkaido is known for. The prices are normal for a revolving sushi restaurant.

The rotating sushi in Furano was unexpectedly delicious, and I have visited several times (⌒▽⌒). The salmon is also delicious. Personally, I like the quail egg and grated yam battleship sushi. The staff at the restaurant are also very friendly. It doesn't affect the rating, but the only downside is that the self-service water refill is slow (T_T) Please improve it soon~

I heard that it is the only revolving sushi restaurant in Furano City, so I decided to visit. It is located a little off the main road and has a parking lot, which is reassuring. When I peeked inside from the window, it seemed almost full, with quite a few foreign customers as well. Since I was alone, I wasn't sure if I could get a seat. Luckily, there was one seat available at the counter, so I was able to enter. First, I ordered salmon, squid, chawanmushi, and tekka maki. The energetic sushi chef was attentive and seemed to be watching closely even when it appeared he wasn't. The salmon, squid, chawanmushi, and tekka maki arrived shortly. Each piece of sushi was carefully made, with a nice shape and no falling apart, making it enjoyable to eat. The salmon, in particular, was excellent – the cuts were slightly larger, but just the right thickness, visually appealing and delicious. I also added turban shell, three types of salmon, sardine, and miso soup. The miso soup could have had a bit more fish in it to make it even better. The tekka maki had crispy seaweed and the tuna was delicious. The freshness of the ingredients, combined with the affordable price and taste, explains why this place is popular. I was more than satisfied compared to popular chain restaurants. Thank you for the meal.

There are many Hokkaido-sourced ingredients on the menu, but I decided to try something I've never had before. I usually order the fresh oysters from Akkeshi when I come to this restaurant, but I was intrigued by the "Kushiro-sourced Maguro" on the menu. When I saw it, I realized it was a type of fish roe (shirako) that I usually don't like, but when I tried it, it was surprisingly delicious with no strange aftertaste. The miso soup was made with salmon, and even though it was just the bones, it was easy to eat and very tasty.

I visited the restaurant during off-peak hours. There were no plates of sushi on the conveyor belt, so I ordered directly from the chef and had each piece made to order. While not a high-end sushi restaurant, they offer a variety of Hokkaido-sourced ingredients, and I was particularly impressed by the oysters from Akkeshi.

It's a bit old, but let's head to the only conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Furano, Topical! Being the only conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Furano, it's always bustling with families. They offer small-sized sushi for kids, and they even have a service where they make the sushi smaller, which is great. Don't underestimate conveyor belt sushi! It seems like the restaurant is run by a fishmonger, so the freshness of the fish is excellent! Although it may not be as fresh as a fish market, Furano is surprisingly a midway point for distribution, and there are also seafood restaurants like New Furano Hotel, which is operated by Isohata Genki Suisan Co., Ltd. that offers delicious seafood. I didn't take many photos, but overall, the sushi was delicious. The standout dishes were the ones labeled as homemade: - Tuna marinated in soy sauce: Rich and flavorful, yet refreshing! Homemade dishes are truly wonderful! - Marinated mackerel: Sweet and flavorful finish! The taste is enhanced, very delicious! I personally prefer sweeter flavors, and the freshness is also great! They can also accommodate special requests if you inform them in advance! It's quite popular, so I don't go often to avoid waiting, but I definitely want to go back. Convenient conveyor belt sushi is always appreciated!

In Furano, there is a revolving sushi restaurant. It has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The portions are generous, and I was satisfied after ordering 9 plates. The silver flounder, tuna roll, and mashed tuna with wasabi were delicious.
