I have had this before at my previous workplace and it was delicious, so I wanted my family to try it as well. There is a shop at Tokyo Station, but I decided to go to the main store. I visited around 12:00 on Saturday. The individually wrapped Baumkuchen set was a bit expensive. It was more cost-effective to buy in bulk, so I purchased two types: Mount Baum with a firm texture for 1,728 yen and Straight Baum with a soft texture for 1,188 yen, totaling 2,916 yen. When I returned home, I shared them with my family. Both were sweet and delicious. It was a good idea to buy two types so we could compare the texture and taste. I thought it would make a great souvenir. Thank you for the meal.

I was informed by a friend that Baumkuchen is currently available at Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin store for a limited time, so I came to check it out! I often receive Tokyo souvenirs, so I am happy to be able to buy something in Fukuoka. In addition to the regular flavors, there are also seasonal limited edition flavors, so after some deliberation, I decided to get an assortment (1382 yen). It includes plain type "firm sprout," soft type "soft sprout," matcha, and lemon (the most popular firm sprout comes in 2 pieces). The individually wrapped pieces would make a great gift. The Baumkuchen has a moist and fluffy image, so the firm sprout has a crispy outside and a fresh texture, while the soft sprout is surprisingly fluffy! The matcha has a rich tea flavor, and the lemon has a refreshing scent as soon as you open the package. All four flavors were delicious! Even though it's only available for a limited time, I hope they come back to Fukuoka occasionally. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal!

A shop in Ginza that sells Baumkuchen. The layers of sweetness stack up beautifully in this Baumkuchen. The individually wrapped bite-sized portions are also very convenient. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/toaru_osushino_index/

After my wife finished work, she brought home a Baumkuchen cake for us. This Baumkuchen cake allows you to choose the level of baking, and they also have limited editions with expiration dates for the same day. This time, we got the limited edition from Shikkari Me, and it was definitely rich in butter and had a firm texture, providing a satisfying eating experience.

Layer by layer, baked and stacked, the Baumkuchen eventually becomes a confection that can be called a "tree ring", originating as a basic and rustic baked good in Europe. Adding a delicate, rich, fragrant flavor and texture that resonates with the souls of the Japanese people, Baumkuchen Ginza, with its strikingly white curtain, is a Japanese-born Baumkuchen specialty store with its main store in Ginza. It quickly became a popular spot as soon as it opened, and continues to be supported as a representative taste of Tokyo.

Nenrinya's Baumkuchen is exceptional. It's not that I particularly love Baumkuchen, but Nenrinya's is in a league of its own. The top is thinly coated with sugar, giving it a firm texture that is incredibly delicious. I like the slight crunchiness. Thank you for the meal.

Hello! This is Takumon, and today I visited Nenrin-ya Ginza Honten. Located just a minute's walk from Ginza Station, in the heart of Ginza near the 4th Avenue intersection, this bakery opened in December 2013. They specialize in Baumkuchen, a cake that is layered one by one until it forms rings resembling tree rings, hence the name Nenrin-ya (which means "tree ring house" in Japanese). The cake is made in a way that resonates with the Japanese soul.
I visited in the late afternoon on a weekday, after strolling around Higashi-Ginza. A friend messaged me asking if I could pick up a Baumkuchen for White Day, as the store closes at 6:30 pm. Since I had some time before meeting up for drinks, I decided to stop by the shop.
The building where Nenrin-ya is located is quite impressive, covered in various types of stones from around the world. Inside the glass-walled shop, the scent of delicious pastries drew me in, and I found the Baumkuchen my friend wanted. I also bought one for myself, beautifully wrapped with a ribbon for White Day.
I purchased the "Mount Baum Firm Bud" for my friend, and for myself, I got the "Mount Baum Soft Bud." Both were delicious, with a rich buttery flavor and a moist texture. I also bought some small "one-bite" Baumkuchen in three flavors: plain, matcha, and Sakura-no-Kuni (which is a limited edition with Japanese cherry blossom leaves).
After completing my mission, I enjoyed the cakes and decided to continue my stroll around the area. Thank you for the delicious treats, Nenrin-ya Ginza Honten! Takumon signing off, cheers!

I received these as a gift from a friend: Soft Sprout Baumkuchen for 194 yen, Matcha for 259 yen, and Brownie for 226 yen. The Baumkuchen from Nenrin-ya is delicious. It has just the right amount of sweetness, moisture, and is wonderfully moist.

Ginza ☆ After a long time, I visited Nenrin-ya. This day, after having lunch in Ginza, I heard they were selling a limited edition Mont Blanc-style baumkuchen for autumn. The price was a bit high, but I couldn't resist limited edition items (laughs). It had a chestnut flavor with a topping of Shibukawa chestnut chocolate and mild chocolate. It was a bit too sweet for me, but it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

After enjoying the best yakiniku at Ushigoro, I stumbled upon a nearby shop - Nenrinya Ginza Main Store! I didn't realize it was their main store in Ginza, and thought, "I haven't had Baumkuchen in a while!" So, I decided to buy their Baumkuchen as a souvenir. The Straight Baum, Soft Sprout, priced at ¥1,188, was incredibly moist with a subtle sweetness. It would make a great gift for someone or as a souvenir for customers. It had been a while since I had Nenrinya's Baumkuchen, and I was truly impressed!

My parents wanted to eat Baumkuchen from here, so we visited and purchased it for takeout. We parked on a road with street parking and visited around 3:00 PM on a Sunday. There was one customer ahead of us when we arrived. There were about 10 customers in total inside the store. Even though the main store didn't seem too crowded, we had to wait in line due to bad timing. I chose individually wrapped pieces without sugar on the outside for easy eating and purchased them. The taste was consistently delicious as always.

A friend who knows a lot about delicious sweets gave me a gift of a variety of Baumkuchen cakes with cherry blossoms. The first one is lemon-flavored Baumkuchen, with a refreshing lemon taste that I really like. The second one is a straight Baumkuchen with a soft texture, also very delicious. The matcha flavor is for my husband to enjoy. When I get home, I'll have the third one, Mount Baum, which has a rich flavor. If there are any left, that is.

I am a loud lover of Baumkuchen! A sweets guy from the Showa era, heh heh! My favorite Baumkuchen is from Nenrinya. A gift from a friend who loves sweets is always a hit. It's light, fluffy, and too delicious, making it a sinful treat that I end up eating too much of.

I have never encountered a Baumkuchen as delicious as this one. The inside is fluffy and the outside is crispy with a sweet coating. It is subtly sweet and irresistible. Even though it is quite large, I finished it in just one week. Please try it at least once.

Ginza. I went to Ginza to visit the second branch of Sato in Kichijoji, looking for menchi-katsu. A colleague at work told me, "If you're going to Ginza, you should try the delicious Baumkuchen there." Although I'm not a big fan of sweets, I do enjoy certain ones like fresh chocolate, cream puffs, and Baumkuchen. I changed my plans to visit Ginza on the last day. On Valentine's Day, I tried the limited edition De La Chocolat Ginza at the main store, and it was so delicious that it literally blew me away. While I can't go to Ginza now, I discovered that Nenrin-ya's Baumkuchen has arrived in Fukuoka. I went on the 18th to try the limited edition Sakura Baum from the 18th to the 28th, as the Chocolate Baum was already sold out when I visited on the 15th due to work. I arrived at Fukuoka Airport at 9:45 PM, and to my surprise, there was only one left. The staff told me, "Welcome. This is the last piece of our limited edition Sakura Mount Baum." I couldn't believe it! It was only 9:45 AM. I don't know if they had a small quantity to begin with or if it was a hot item that sold out early, but I managed to get the last piece just in time. When they lit the brandy on fire for presentation, the scent of cherry blossoms spread beautifully, followed by the sweetness of sugar and eggs filling my mouth. It was delicious. Although I missed out on the Chocolate Baum, I discovered the new charm of the Sakura Baum. I also found out from Nenrin-ya's website that the De La Chocolat Ginza, which used to be exclusive to the Ginza main store, is now available on their online store. It was sold out this year, but I definitely want to buy the De La Chocolat Ginza from the online store next year. Hopefully, I can visit Tokyo next year to buy it, but for now, it seems like dining out and crossing prefectural borders for travel is still difficult.

It's Baumkuchen. I've always been curious about it. So I decided to buy some. I purchased: - 2 Soft Sprout for ¥388 - 2 Firm Sprout for ¥452 Soft Sprout is very soft and fluffy. It has a gentle flavor. Firm Sprout is coated with sugar but not too hard. It has a hint of almond flavor. I prefer the Soft Sprout. "Thank you for the meal."

I sometimes buy from this main store located a short distance from Hare Street to Nishi-Goban Street. My family are fans, so when we come to Ginza, we always ask each other, "Are we buying today? What do you think?" On this day, I was alone and decided to stop by on my own. I purchased the Me-no-MM size. I enjoyed it for breakfast the next morning. It was a luxurious way to start the day. It may be bad manners, but I soaked it in cornflakes. Delicious!

I came to Nenrinya in Ginza to buy Baumkuchen. The firm texture of the Baumkuchen here brings out the deliciousness to the fullest. This time, when I went into the Ginza main store, I noticed that the variety of flavors has increased. Matcha and caramel have joined the lineup, so I bought them and tried them right away. The familiar rich butter flavor combined with matcha and caramel in a good balance. There were fewer people than I expected, so I could take my time choosing, making it a hidden gem. I would like to come back to buy more again.

As a souvenir, I bought Mount Baum for ¥1,500. It was delicious! The Baumkuchen was moist and tasty, but the outer layer was crispy. I think this is the first time I've had Baumkuchen like this. I definitely want to eat it again! (o^^o)

I love the Baumkuchen specialty shop "Nenrinka" Nenrinka*【Seasonal Limited】Mount Baum Matcha 864 yen
I got it right after it was released and since the expiration date is still a bit ahead, I stocked up on it, but then the expiration date started approaching, so I hurriedly opened it. Sweat. The type is "Mount Baum - Firm Matcha" and I was excited to see the beautiful matcha color. There is a strong matcha flavor, which made me, as a matcha sweets fan, very happy. It seems that they use Uji matcha from Marukyu Koyamaen, which is very authentic! "Crispy on the outside, mature on the inside" was exactly what it was. It was a firm Baumkuchen, not fluffy. I really enjoyed it as it was to my liking and very delicious. Nenrinka never disappoints~ haha.
