I received a lady's dinner at this restaurant. I had made a reservation for just a seat, but they accommodated me with a course meal. The hospitality was wonderful. The dishes were not only visually appealing but also delicious. The portions were satisfying. Although it was Japanese cuisine, they also served cake for dessert, which was delicious. The green tea that came with the dessert was also perfect.

I used this restaurant for entertaining my teacher for a hobby class. We had a lunch of a mini-course of Japanese cuisine. The meal was served in two parts, with the first part being perfect for those who enjoy sake. Unfortunately, I had to stick to hot tea as the driver. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, and the pickled radish made by a young chef was meticulously prepared. The simmered sardine was delicious, and the bamboo shoot dumpling was also tasty. The second part of the meal included tempura with spring mountain vegetables like butterbur sprouts and cod sprouts, as well as plum hijiki and whitebait rice. The plum hijiki and whitebait rice was so delicious that I had seconds. It was a quality over quantity kind of Japanese meal, with good ingredients and careful cooking. The teacher was pleased, and it was a good experience. The hostess was very attentive, especially with timing for refilling tea. The servers in black were not as attentive, but the hostess made up for it with her hospitality. They also offer more affordable set meals for lunch. I would like to come back again when I can drink sake. Thank you for the meal.

Before the concert at the city hall, we went out for lunch. We had reserved a limited quantity set meal for ¥2500 in advance. It was for counter seats only, but it came with a drink and was quite reasonable. We enjoyed a great deal on a Japanese hotel lunch. The lunch menu had a variety of options and was rich in variety, with neighboring soba and what seemed to be a related store. It's a place we would like to visit again.

On my father's birthday, I wanted to take him to a restaurant where it would just be the two of us, now that work has started to settle down. It was a place filled with memories for my father. The food was average, and there was a young female chef behind the counter. She seemed more concerned about her senior customers than us and didn't engage in conversation at all. The drinks were expensive, and the wine was so bad that I couldn't drink it, although I didn't say anything. The Hibiki highball they recommended was just okay, but it was still included in the bill. I know many other places with better food and atmosphere, so I probably won't be coming back here. Thank you for the meal. We still had a good time today.

I enjoyed a "Unagi Kaiseki Dinner" with delicious grilled eel and eel rice bowl. The eel rice bowl portion was small, but it was accompanied by appetizers, sashimi, and vinegared dishes, which was just the right amount for a woman in her 50s.

I went to an event near Osaka Castle and decided to have lunch at Isshin, located in Hotel New Otani nearby. The restaurant is on the basement floor with about 13 counter seats and private rooms in the back. Since there were two of us, we sat at the counter. First, the first course was served. It included sashimi of squid, tuna, and sea bream. There were also yellowtail with daikon radish, roast beef, and simmered tofu. The yellowtail with daikon radish was quite delicious. The rest of the dishes were just average. After finishing the first course, the second course was served. It included seaweed vinegar, deep-fried blowfish, and porridge. These dishes were also just average. Overall, the lunch at this Japanese restaurant in the hotel felt quite ordinary.

I received a "tendon" as a souvenir from a human dock, and enjoyed it while smelling the eel bowl that someone else was eating. It was quite light! It would have been nice to have some salt. If I could choose between the same price, I would have been happy to have the beef bowl instead. Come to think of it, I'm not a big fan of tempura, but those who like it would probably find it delicious (lol). The one-bite ohagi that came with it was delicious♪

The meeting was held at this place, which felt like a luxurious dining spot inside a hotel. If you're wondering what "Isshinzen" is, think of it as a deluxe version of the Makunouchi bento box with sashimi and tempura. The overall dishes were moderately delicious. The surprising part was that the miso soup was spicy! The saltiness of the miso lingered on the tongue. Is it because my taste buds are extra sensitive due to alcohol? The event last night turned out to be more of a private gathering than expected. It felt like a reunion, with familiar faces coming together for a night of chatting and drinking. It was like a G-bar in Tokyo. However, the artist A, who used to be known as the "Prince of the Gay Scene," was quite melancholic. The lunch meeting the next day was more mature. The restaurant offers various courses depending on the season, and my friend GG from Osaka recommended the shaved ice dessert during summer. They also serve oden at night, but GG's tendency to recommend things I can't eat makes me think they might not have many friends. Overall, the dishes showed the careful work put into them, even though some were a bit too strong in flavor for my taste. It's a recommended spot for adults. I'm curious about the soba restaurant "Imai" across the street. Tonight's event, I will take it seriously!

We went with four hobby friends and were able to relax in a private room at the back. As expected from a restaurant in a hotel, the service was excellent. The food was elegant and we had a great time.

Before watching the Caramel Box 2013 Summer Tour, we had lunch at "Kisho Isshin" located in the basement of Hotel New Otani Osaka. The lunch menu includes the Chef's special bento and rice bowl series (tempura bowl, steak bowl, tuna bowl) at reasonable prices. The Kajiwara Tempura Bowl is a luxurious version with prawns, conger eel, saury, and vegetables. The tempura is fried in a mix of white sesame oil and salad oil, giving it a light and refreshing taste. The Kanto-style tempura is soaked in a dashi sauce with kelp, making it a perfect match with the rice. The tempura is so delicious that you'll be hooked on it! Other menu items include steak bowl, tempura bento, and tuna bento. For dinner, the menu offers a variety of dishes such as miso-marinated cheese, dried fish eggs, grilled young ayu fish, seared wagyu beef, soy sauce butter grilled abalone, grilled eel, dumplings in yuba sauce, seasonal vegetable simmered dish, braised pork belly, steamed pot with abalone and burnt rice, fried small horse mackerel, corn tempura, assorted tempura, asparagus fig sesame salad, hot and sour vinegar miso octopus, seasonal rice dish (for two), Akita Inaniwa udon, and tea soba.

I have known this place for a long time and visit only once or twice a year. As expected of a hotel, they serve high-quality dishes. It's great to visit during the changing seasons as you can enjoy seasonal ingredients. The staff at the counter are friendly and you can relax without feeling pressured. They also have private rooms, which I use for more formal occasions with my parents or family. I definitely want to go back again, maybe in the spring?

I stayed at the New Otani Osaka for two nights with my wife. Upon arrival on January 29, 2010, we immediately headed to this restaurant called Isshin. We were looking forward to eating fugu when we visited Osaka. We ordered drinks - my wife had a draft beer, I started with red wine and later had sweet potato shochu on the rocks. We chose the simple fugu set menu in the 7,000 yen range, with the option to add other dishes. We started with an optional tuna sashimi, which was delicious. We enjoyed our drinks, relieving the fatigue of a 6.5-hour drive from Atsugi Interchange and the effort of taking turns driving. Soon, the fugu sashimi arrived. The freshness was evident from the clear plate design. We tried it with ponzu sauce and it was delicious, with a satisfying texture. Next, we had fugu hotpot. The head of the fugu was quite large, indicating a fish of over 1.5 kg. It had a mature and elegant taste. We also had grilled sasakarei from San'in, a rare delicacy in Kanto. It was a delightful experience. After enjoying the meal, we returned to our room on the 15th floor of the hotel. We could walk back, feeling at ease. The drinks kept flowing, with me having about four glasses of sweet potato shochu on the rocks. The night in Osaka after a year was memorable, with the texture of the fugu sashimi lingering as we made our way to bed.
