Kagurazaka SECRETO Participated in the "private party" on April 19th with a certain Japanese restaurant chef, marking our first visit since October 7, 2021. We were greeted in the waiting room with champagne and pre-paid 25,000 yen for the alcohol pairing option. The spring menu was themed "Exploring all curiosities to the fullest." Please see the photos below: - Secret Heart: Pink grapefruit coated in cocoa butter, meant to be enjoyed in one bite. - Gougère Cheese Truffle: A snack made of choux pastry with cheese and truffle mixed in. - Sakura Mochi: Lotus root and wood sorrel, a Japanese twist to the amuse-bouche. - Noto Sea Bream: Topped with Ebisu seaweed tartar and katsuobushi, creating a "nori bento" concept. - Foie Gras French Toast: A signature dish at SECRETO, where foie gras paste is frozen with liquid nitrogen and shaved onto toast. - Makimono (Rolled Dish): A roll of Toyama firefly squid, green papaya, and coriander spices wrapped in seaweed. - Bouillabaisse Cappuccino: A playful take on bouillabaisse soup served as a cappuccino. - Grilled Fish: Noto blackthroat seaperch paste with tapenade, served with tomato, red turnip, and fiddleheads. - Shake: Guests were invited to shake their own mango juice like a bartender. - Grilled Pork: Iberico pork grilled with Nishikyo miso, served with white asparagus, mushrooms, and Inca red potatoes. - Rice Dish: Noto oyster, turban shell, and bamboo shoot cooked rice with Karasenju seasoning, accompanied by miso soup. - Dessert: Liquid nitrogen gelato in caramel popcorn flavor, enjoyed with fresh mint tea. - Surprise Activity: Envelopes were distributed, each containing cards A to E with corresponding prizes like gold medals or scrub brushes. I drew card "E" which led to a fun activity involving meringue ice cream and blowing out white breath. SECRETO offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience with high-quality playful elements. We thoroughly enjoyed the spring course and look forward to trying the summer course in late June. Can't wait! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Located a 7-minute walk from Kagurazaka Station, in a quiet residential area, is our "secret restaurant." Our chef, Yabunaka, who has worked at renowned Spanish restaurants like "El Puj" and "Dos Parijhos," offers innovative and delightful dishes that exceed expectations. The drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are paired perfectly with the food, providing an interesting experience. However, our restaurant is not just about the food and drinks! The highlight is the "Yabunaka Theater," where you can enjoy the chef's performances up close while dining. It's truly a fun experience! I won't spoil the surprise by revealing too much about this secret restaurant, but the delicious and surprising dishes, combined with the entertainment, make the 25000 yen course with pairing an incredible value. You can't go wrong with this fantastic restaurant that offers great value for money. Highly recommended! I won't keep it a secret!! Thank you for the wonderful meal! I'll definitely be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Today's visit was to SECRETO. SECRETO is an innovative fusion restaurant located in Nijyugocho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. It is situated in a residential area about a 10-minute walk from the Kagurazaka station. SECRETO is a theater-style restaurant that offers a unique and creative space where guests can enjoy a seamless experience of talk progression, music, food, and performances. They take pride in their cuisine, with Chef Yabu using local ingredients from his hometown in Noto, Ishikawa Prefecture to create seasonal dishes. Upon entering the restaurant, guests are welcomed with a champagne drink in the bar/entrance lounge while waiting for their designated time. The restaurant operates on a prepayment system, adding an element of amusement when receiving tickets. Once it's time, guests are guided to their seats and the course begins. The menu includes unique dishes such as the secret heart black sugar dorayaki, Noto mackerel with a smoky flavor, foie gras French toast gazpacho, and more. The course concludes with a caramel popcorn dessert and fresh mint tea. Overall, the experience at SECRETO was filled with creativity and originality, offering a variety of unconventional dishes to enjoy. After the meal, guests can also unwind at the bar and continue to have a wonderful time. Thank you for the feast.

I visited Secreto, a restaurant I had been wanting to go to for a long time. The experience starts with a single rotation at 7:00 PM. Everything is perfect, from the food to the pairing, and the fantastic entertainment provides a new experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the courses in no time. The dishes and presentations that exceed imagination make you feel as if you have traveled abroad. I have so much more I want to write, but I'll leave it at this for now. Anyway, the cost performance is excellent at 25,000 yen including the pairing! It's a restaurant that makes you want to visit over and over again. Thank you very much!

The performances are long and make you sleepy, but bringing a friend who is visiting for the first time will be a unique and enjoyable experience. The alcohol pairing is well done, the courses are plentiful, and the cost performance is good. The chef, originally from Noto, uses ingredients sourced from Kanazawa.

Located about a 6-minute walk from Ushigome Kagurazaka on the Oedo Line. The food here is simply delicious! The only option is a course meal for 25,000 yen per person (including tax), which includes drinks. The restaurant has about 18 seats and offers a theatrical experience with entertaining performances and music. It's a place you'll want to visit again and again. The food is served in one course starting at 7 pm. The menu is a secret, but some highlights include a delicious dorayaki, foie gras, and Natsumeyan. The Ebi Sushi Nori is a must-try even for those who don't like fish. The Foie Gras French Toast is also incredibly tasty. The Gas Batcho, Zalpicon, Mizutako, and Sazae are refreshing and delicious. The Consomme, Cauliflower, and Poiree make for a perfect summer dish. The Noto Sweet Sea Bream, Shiitake, Ayame Yukihaba, and Noino Farm Kujo Negi are all mouthwatering. The Jose Lito Iberico Pork with charcoal and Nansoji Togarashi is a favorite, with the miso flavor complementing the tender pork. The Noto Sawara and clay pot rice make for a satisfying meal. The Caramel Popcorn is simply irresistible, and the Fresh Mint Tea is a perfect way to end the meal. Don't miss out on the Corn Bread with Truffle Espuma, it's a must-try! I can't wait to go back again!

It's Thursday night. Ushigome is Nijukimachi. It is said that this town originated from the residences of the first-hand yoriki during the Edo period. Yoriki were groups of ten people. It is also written as "yoriki," so I guess there were two groups living here. It's like a modern-day police agency official residence, maybe. Oh, I see, if you run down to the moat from here, you can respond to emergencies, probably... While thinking about the Edo period, I arrived 20 minutes before the reservation time. The waiting bar had just opened. I paid in advance so that there wouldn't be any hassle on the way back. The price includes drinks, so I declare whether I want alcohol or non-alcohol. As expected, Raccoon is an alcohol member, so I received a welcome champagne and quickly transitioned into idle mode. Shortly after, at six o'clock, the remaining 11 members of the private party, including the organizer, gathered, and we proceeded eagerly to the back room, or rather the stage. Now, let's get to the main topic. The course content we received is as follows. Each comment is listed in the photo section, so please enjoy it along with the images. And thank you for the meal. Summary: First, the restaurant handed us seat assignment tickets like baseball game tickets. I see, the organizer can arrange the seating in advance, and there's no need to worry about where to sit. The menu for the day is written on the back, so even if you forget your notes, you can avoid any problems. And both alcohol and non-alcohol members can be served based on their assigned numbers, making it convenient for the restaurant. This is a smart style. When we entered the back room holding the tickets, there was a curved counter for 12 people, with a large chef's table inside. I wonder if they plate the dishes or finish them on this table? Raccoon's number is 10, so the third from the back. It's a perfect position with a view of the kitchen behind. Maybe the organizer took care of it. Ahaha. But it's a bit dark, with eerie colored lighting, and loud rock music playing from the BOSE speakers. Wait, is this atmosphere going to last until the end? It's like a theater of the absurd, I've never been in one, but... huh. Oh, sorry. Let me rephrase. It's like the opening of Michinoku Pro Wrestling! Then, unexpectedly, the wall lights start spinning and the volume increases, and the Yabunaka chef appears from behind the curtain. "Allez cuisine!" I heard something like that... It's like Kaga Takeshi from Iron Chef, but in a simple black costume. Ahaha, I was taken aback by the sudden performance. Could it be a prank...? As I half-regretted that I might have wandered into an unexpected place, the Yabunaka chef's refreshing narration and lively speech reminiscent of Namba Kagetsu comedy theater made it fun! The lady next to me, who I met for the first time, said, "You have to ride this tension or you'll regret it," matching the full-volume BGM with a shout next to Raccoon's profile. Yeah, that's right. Once you get on the boat, you have to dance, or you'll regret it. I shamelessly let loose as a sixty-year-old man past his prime. But when the BGM switches to Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Santana, and Michael McDonald from the original Doobie Brothers, I regain my composure and reminisce about the 80s in my school days. When the plates were served, the BGM disappeared, and the Yabunaka chef gave detailed explanations of the ingredients, cooking methods, and eating etiquette with laughter. And the dishes themselves, from start to finish, were just perfect. They were not colorful at all. The flavors were perfectly well-balanced. Especially, the saltiness of the steamed tilefish. The combination of vegetables and broth with today's ingredients wrapped in kudzu starch was so good that tears welled up involuntarily. In addition, the Iberico pork ==========

It's far from any station. A hidden gem in a residential area. Start by waiting at the bar for the opening. The room we were seated in was dark, like a theater. The menu and pairing drinks were meticulously crafted. It felt like watching a show, so enjoyable. And of course, the food was delicious. The name of the restaurant means "secret" in Spanish. The chef even said, "Please share on social media!" But where's the secret in that, haha.

I keep visiting 'SECRETO' over and over again, never getting tired of it. It's not that I never get tired of it, but rather that it never gets boring. It's hard to convey the experience of the time spent there, the food, and the fun. It may seem like the quality of the food is weak due to the overwhelming entertainment aspect. So when inviting someone for the first visit, there may be a bit of apprehension. The moment the meal starts, the music and lighting that resonate throughout the restaurant can be quite surprising, making you wonder if you made a mistake in coming. However, when the chef appears and you toast with a drink, the Yabunaka theater begins, and as you slowly taste the dishes, you start to feel at ease. I won't write about the chef's background every time, but if you're interested, please check it out. This time, the menu included: Secret Heart Pineapple, Banana, Yogurt, Dorayaki, Foie Gras, Coconut Palm, Noto Horse Mackerel, Ariake Nori, Conger Eel, Softshell Turtle, Smack, Ancient Rice, Foie Gras French Toast, Gazpacho, Salsipicon, Water Octopus, Sazae Salt Ponzu, Passion Fruit, Consomme, Cauliflower, Sweet Alyssum, Noto Sweet Sea Bream, Shiitake Mushroom, Ayame Snow Turnip, Noino Farm Kujo Ichiban Green Onion, Jose Lito Iberico Pork, Charcoal, Nishikyo Miso Inca Awakening, Manjushage Pepper, Melon Seed, Clay Pot Rice, Noto Sawara, Sakura Shrimp, Karashijusu, Caramel Popcorn, -196°C, Fresh Mint Tea, Surprise Drink (Non-Alcoholic), Ginger Tonic, SECRETO Beer, Shizuoka Cold-Brewed Tea, German Wine Grape Juice, Falzart Rauvenzaft Hornig Zecher, Guava, Lemon, Hyuganatsu, Smoke, Noto Kama-Roasted Stick Tea. If you have the chance, I highly recommend experiencing it. SRCRETO is a hidden gem located in a residential area near the Nogizaka Station. Upon entering, you settle the bill at the entrance and then take a breath at the waiting bar. As you proceed down the corridor, you are greeted by a black interior and an open kitchen illuminated by spotlights. The L-shaped counter with 12 seats leads you to an experience where the ambiance changes with music and lighting to accompany each dish prepared by Chef Yabuuchi, who hails from Noto. The cuisine, a fusion of French, Spanish, and Japanese influences, showcases the chef's creativity and dedication to both presentation and taste. Each dish is a surprise that elicits exclamations of delight. The meal is not only visually stunning but also incredibly delicious, with a well-thought-out story behind each dish. The red miso soup with kelp floating on top is a signature dish, and the clay pot rice is so good that I couldn't resist having four servings. The evening ended with a fun raffle draw, leaving us laughing and thoroughly satisfied. Although reservations may be challenging, I would definitely love to visit SECRETO again.

After being told by a friend that it's like Disney there, SECRETO was suddenly eager to go and finally got the chance to sneak in! So happy. So grateful. It's about a 6-minute walk from Ushigome Kagurazaka Station. It's located in a residential area, so I was a bit worried if I was in the right place... haha. The event starts at 19:00, but you can wait at the entrance from 18:40 while sipping on champagne. Let's go inside. The counter looks like a stage set. The music and lighting make my heart race. Excitement. Oh, this is just like the excitement of Disney. I'm sure of it. The chef's greeting and the toast signal the start of the show. The course costs 25,000 yen with pairing. You can choose between alcoholic or non-alcoholic. -Course Menu- ◆Secret Heart It's that thing you often see. Today it's yellow! Inside is a juice of pineapple, yogurt, and banana. It bursts in your mouth. ◆Dorayaki Foie Gras Coconut The lid opens to the scent of Noto firewood. Dorayaki with black sugar dough. ◆Noto Horse Mackerel, Ariake Sea Eel Horse mackerel with the rich fat of Ariake Sea Eel wrapped in seaweed. ◆Conger Eel, Soft-Shelled Turtle, Smack, Ancient Rice Conger eel seasoned with soy sauce and balsamic vinegar. Burdock root and grated yam on the side. ◆Foie Gras French Toast Frozen foie gras prepared with liquid nitrogen and grated by the chef. Live action - the best. ◆Gazpacho, Salpicon, Water Octopus, Turban Shell, Salt Ponzu, Passion Fruit A summer vegetable salad style. Watermelon, onion, cucumber, and tomato gazpacho with sherbet. ◆Paris Brest, Consomme, Bisque Super rich consomme made over 3 days. ◆Noto Red Seabream, Shiitake Mushroom, Ayame Snow, Nonoi Kujyo Ichiben A lovely aroma but...sigh. A sauce of vegetable trimmings and shiitake mushroom dashi with ginger as an accent. ◆Secreto, Joselito Iberico Pork, Charcoal, Saikyo Miso, Awakening of Inca, Mannenji Togarashi There really is a part called Secreto. You can taste the richness of the meat when you chew. ◆Donabe Rice, Noto Spanish Mackerel, Sakura Shrimp, Karasenzu Miso soup with shiso, eggplant, and sansho pepper. Delicious, so I had seconds. ◆Caramel Popcorn, -196°C Popcorn ice cream finished with liquid nitrogen. ◆Fresh Mint Tea ◆Surprise Event I got the "smoke from the nose" one haha. It was so much fun and delicious! The chef could easily work at Disney. I understand why everyone keeps coming back. Every time I look forward to it, our family's favorite Western cuisine restaurant. It opens a little before the start time, and you settle the bill at the waiting bar, receive a ticket (with seat number and date written on it), feeling like you're at a concert venue. There is a menu on the back, and you wait for the venue entrance while enjoying a welcome drink. Non-alcoholic pairing costs 25,000 yen (alcohol is the same price). When you enter the restaurant hall, you are greeted with loud music and nostalgic lighting, making you feel rejuvenated. It can be a bit difficult to have a conversation due to the music. The chef's greeting helps to relax everyone's mood and the fun moments begin. 1. Toast with a ginger tonic and start eating. - The secret heart is yellow (yellow from this time?) It is a classic dish, but this time it is yellow. A heart coated with cocoa butter (the juice inside changes with the season). Take a bite, crunch, and the juice (banana, pineapple, yogurt) overflows from inside. 2. Secret beer, dorayaki, foie gras, natsumeyashi (smoked case included) The smoke is made with Noto firewood, and when you open it, it smells fragrant. Dorayaki is sandwiched with foie gras and natsumeyashi. The skin of dorayaki is also very delicious. - Noto horse mackerel, Ariake Ebisu nori (finger food) In the center of the horse mackerel that looks like a flower petal, there is an egg yolk, which is placed on the nori, making it look beautiful. I've never had horse mackerel like this before... I'm surprised at how much the horse mackerel changes with the combination and presentation with the egg yolk. 3. Cold-brewed green tea, anago, suppon, smac, ancient rice (imagining anago bowl) Anago cooked in a Western style (wine?) and ancient rice cooked in turtle soup, and a sauce of grated yam. A delicious anago bowl with no sense of incongruity. (Smac is a Turkish spice) Until here, dishes are served one after another, and the appetizer section is completed. - Foie gras French toast is a specialty that the chef himself grates foie gras on toast and talks to the guests. Always looking forward to this. 4. Grape juice for wine 5. Guava, lemon, gazpacho, salpicon, water octopus, turban shell, salt ponzu, passion fruit Imagining gazpacho, a completely different dish is brought out. The gazpacho is served with shaved ice, and there is a combination of salpicon... a fusion of Spanish seafood salad? A refreshing dish that goes well with seafood inside and has a summer-like taste. - Supreme consomme, bisque, sweet alyssum Here comes the long-awaited soup! A consomme and bisque with a two-layer structure (Paris-Soule style). Enjoy each flavor without mixing them. The best! 6. Hinata summer, smoked drink with a unique show. Break the balloon-like smoke and pour the Hinata summer juice inside. - Noto sweet sea bream, shiitake mushrooms, turnips, green onions Sweet sea bream steamed with scales, flavored with sake, and a sauce made with vegetable scraps, Ishiru, and ginger, thickened with kuzu. It looks Western, but has a delicious Japanese taste. The turnips are also gently cooked and really delicious. 7. Noto kettle-roasted stick tea, secret (cut of meat), Joselito Iberico pork, charcoal-fired Saikyo miso, Incarouge, Manjuto chili pepper There is a part called Secret, which is a rare and high-quality cut of meat. Marinated in Saikyo miso and grilled over charcoal, it has a moist Japanese flavor. The colorful and flavorful vegetables served with it are also good. - French bread and truffle butter I love the bread from Pandefilozof and the truffle butter, which has a presence like a dish. - Donabe rice, Noto sawara, sakura shrimp, Karasenzu red dashi with SECRETO's kombu floating on top. The pickles are marinated, fitting for SECRETO. I also love the Japanese-style rice to finish the meal. - Caramel popcorn -196°C liquid nitrogen show begins, making the atmosphere even more surreal. There was a birthday celebration that day, and everyone celebrated together. In a lively atmosphere, the final dessert is served. The freshly made ice cream is smooth, with a perfect sweetness and the aroma of popcorn. - Fresh mint tea Verbena and mint from the Noto Kouno farm. I rarely drink this at other restaurants.

It's been a while since I went to Secret! A secret restaurant where you don't have to keep secrets (´艸`) We went with the usual group of four this time. The other three were first-timers at Secret, so I was looking forward to hearing their impressions. When I arrived last, the others were already inside toasting. They asked me if we were really going to eat here, but of course, this place is small! When it was time, we were led to the back, and the excitement was building! With grand music playing, the chef made his entrance, marking the start of a unique course that can only be experienced here (゚Д゚) The chef sure talks a lot, but I think the mood and energy during a meal are important. The more fun you have, the better the food tastes! The experience of the meal can greatly affect your overall impression. Not just at Secret, but at any restaurant. The buff from the enjoyment factor is too strong here, haha. My friends were also very impressed. As for the food, the specialty foie gras French toast was delicious, and I felt it was even better than last time. They've definitely stepped up their game. I understand why it's so hard to get a reservation here. This place has a lot of fans. Thank you for the meal! The bill, including drinks, came out to 25,000, and it was a lot of fun!

I visited for the first time and it felt like watching a show. The music was loud, making it difficult to have a conversation with the person next to you, but the chef's cheerful and fun interaction raised the mood. It felt more like participating in the show than just watching it. The dishes served were as follows: "Secret Heart," "Gruyere," "Mochi and Lotus Root," "Western-style Nori Bento," "Foie Gras French Toast," "MAKIMONO," "Soup Pistou," "Thread-sail Filefish," "Cocktail," "Secreto Iberico Pork," "Baguette with Truffle Butter," "Clay Pot Rice," "Caramel Popcorn -196°C," "Fresh Mint Tea," and "Surprise Party." The chef is from Noto, so many fresh Noto ingredients were used. The "Gruyere" with various cheeses and truffles had a satisfying aroma and richness. The "Soup Pistou" with Noto shiitake, clams, and white kidney beans in a garlic and basil broth was my favorite with its hearty ingredients. The "Noto Thread-sail Filefish" was tender, the sweet tomatoes and fresh water shield were delicious. When dipped in tapenade sauce with olives, capers, and pine nuts, it was even more delightful. The "Secreto Iberico Pork" had a rustic flavor and was satisfying. The truffle butter served with the baguette was amazingly delicious. I had a great time and would love to come back with someone next time.

Located about 5 minutes from Ushigome Kagurazaka, SECRETO, run by Chef Yubunaka, offers delicious dishes centered around local ingredients from Ishikawa Noto. The food is not only tasty but also entertaining, making it a delightful dining experience. The pairing with drinks is excellent, and before you know it, you might find yourself a bit tipsy. I had a great time for 2 hours! I would love to visit again if I have the chance. I have been enjoying the seasonal menu at COCO for the past 2-3 years without fail. Thank you very much for always accommodating me on the waiting list, BOADING GROUP1. This year's spring menu started with the classic heart dish and consisted of a total of 11 dishes. The meal ended with a unique twist as always - a lucky draw for a -196° breath! I received a secret item (I got a scrubbing brush ^_^) and enjoyed the combination of deliciousness and humor, leaving me completely full. It's a restaurant that is difficult to book, but once you visit, you'll understand why many customers become fans. I always enjoy the bar afterwards, savoring Anji's excellent cocktails before heading home. That's true happiness for me. Thank you for the wonderful meal! Looking forward to the summer menu!

Kagurazaka Secret. I visited this place for a private party once again. Despite the unfortunate weather, stepping inside the restaurant made me forget all about it and boosted my mood. We started off in the waiting room with some Cava. This time, we tried the spring menu for May. Every time I visit, there are new and exciting things happening, like the entrance tickets and fresh menu items. I couldn't help but laugh when the seaweed bento box arrived. The specialty, foie gras frozen at -196 degrees with apple jam, was delicious. The tortilla was also very tasty. The logo-shaped kelp was so cute. Even the vegetables here become stylish! The cocktails we made ourselves were great too. And the Iberico pork was incredibly delicious! Probably the best meat I've ever had at Secret! The special bread was always delicious. Although the clay pot rice looked amazing, I was already so full. The dessert ice cream was also delicious. We had a good laugh during the lottery draw. This restaurant is always so much fun. By the way, we made sure to have a few drinks at the bar before heading home. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
