Conversation with companions like "This is delicious!" is not possible in this setup. I ordered the ramen for 980 yen, with an additional slice of chashu. This is my first time coming to this restaurant ^ ^ I arrived around 6:30 pm on a weekday! There was no wait, I bought my meal ticket and was seated right away! I ordered the ramen! I couldn't really tell the difference in taste compared to other locations, but it was consistently delicious! When I finished eating and went outside, there was a small line forming. When you go to Fukuoka, you definitely have to visit Ichiran's main headquarters. After having dinner at another restaurant, I went there. It's been a while. The dividers between the seats, which have been there since before COVID, are still the same. Even though I was already full, I ended up getting an extra serving of noodles.

I lined up among the many tourists. Even in the evening, there was a long line, which shows how amazing Ichiran is! I ordered the Ichiran 5 set, which includes ramen with mushrooms, egg, seaweed, and chashu. The individual booth system makes it easy to eat alone. The taste is really good. Many people from Fukuoka say that Ichiran is a classic when it comes to ramen, although some mention that it is a bit pricey. But it's a classic for a reason. The environment is undisturbed, making it easy for anyone to go alone, choose their preferred flavor intensity, and enjoy delicious ramen. The system here is well thought out, and it's unlikely that anyone would have a bad experience with the service or taste here. Of course, hidden gem ramen shops are also attractive, but Ichiran is definitely delicious and worth the price. The rich and intense flavor is amazing. As I get older, I find it harder to enjoy tonkotsu ramen, but Ichiran is still delicious. It's different from other pork bone ramen. I got full after eating Ichiran 5. Next time, I might just go with the egg topping only. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal. When you think of Fukuoka, you think of Ichiran.

After drinking and it got quite late, I felt like having a bowl of noodles as a final meal, so I went to Ichiran near the hotel I was staying at. It was past 1 AM, but there were still many customers. I was able to get in smoothly and enjoy Ichiran's reliable tonkotsu ramen!

I went to Chuichi Ran's main store. I thought it was due to COVID-19 measures, but it seems that this style has been from the beginning. It's nice to be able to eat quietly by yourself. I ordered the "all-in-one" option. The junky flavor was delicious and I was able to eat it smoothly, even going for a refill. The tangy sauce for flavor variation was also delicious.

My son wanted to go to the Ichiran main store, even though we had just eaten at Ichiran earlier. Since we had come all the way to Hakata, we decided to go. The entire building was decorated with Ichiran theme, which got my son very excited. We had to leave our heavy luggage on the first floor for some reason, and when it was returned to us, it was on the second floor, which was a bit confusing. Other than that, we were very satisfied. It was a bit of a struggle to carry our heavy luggage down the stairs.

Coming back from Kitakyushu to Fukuoka City, I had Hakata ramen for the first time in a while. In Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Nagahama, Chikugo Kurume ramen were all quite delicious. But after a long time, it really hit the spot... Actually, to be honest, the one that ignited my ramen journey was Ichiran. The price is ridiculously high, but for me, Ichiran is where it all began.

It's been quite a while since I last went to Ichiran in Tokyo. I remember going to the main branch of Ichiran, which is open 24 hours, without having breakfast at the hotel and heading straight to the airport after eating here. I went on a Monday night around 10:30 PM and surprisingly had to wait for 30 minutes after buying my meal ticket. I ordered the natural tonkotsu ramen with extra noodles and green onions for 1,320 yen. While waiting, I filled out the order sheet. I used to recommend this place, but this time I ordered the broth to be rich, the richness level to be heavy, only one clove of garlic, green onions, and chashu pork. I doubled the secret red sauce and requested the noodles to be firm. Although it wasn't my usual preference, the order turned out to be perfect and the soup and noodles were delicious. I finished it in no time. I definitely need to visit Ichiran in Tokyo more often.

When I was in Fukuoka, I didn't eat it that often, but I had it as a late-night meal during my business trip. I had the Original Tonkotsu Ramen (since its establishment) for 980 yen including tax. Hmm, it's expensive! It's more expensive than the regular ramen price. The taste was the familiar and reliable Ichiran flavor. I succumbed to temptation. They are open 24 hours, so I had a light breakfast. The place was full of Korean tourists. There was a set where you could add char siu and egg, but I only added my favorite wood ear mushrooms. I ordered it, and yes, this is it! I thought. I want to try Nagahama too, but this is good too. The garlic flavor is not too strong, but the smell of pork bone is nice and strong. Most of all, I wanted to eat the noodles. The straight, firm noodles. In Toyama where I usually live, there is only curly noodles. I think curly noodles in milky pork bone ramen is really a no-go. I was like, I finally got to eat the real thing! My son loves Ichiran ramen! I thought we would go to a nearby restaurant at least once a month. When we went to Hakata, I wanted to try Ichiran or a food stall ramen, but my son had different plans. He was planning to go alone in the middle of the night, leaving me sleeping at the hotel. I heard some noise and quickly got ready to follow him. It was a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It was 11:30 PM and there was a 40-50 minute wait at the entrance on the 1st floor. We decided to come back later and at 12:30 AM there was no wait time at all! It was practically zero wait time! It had been 6 hours since our last meal, so I was hungry and the beer was calling my name. The beer was served in a plastic cup, which was tasty but reminded me of BBQ beer. I wished they had served it in a mug or glass. While waiting for the ramen, I couldn't help but overhear the person next to us enjoying their meal loudly. "Oh, so good!" "Mmm, delicious!" "Oh yeah, that's it!" The slurping sounds and endless monologue made me burst into laughter. Is it rude to laugh? Maybe a bit over the top? Ichiran is everywhere, right? Was it their first time trying it? When I looked at my son sitting next to me, he was silently laughing. Before I knew it, the ramen was in front of me! It was my turn to eat. "Oh, so good!" "Mmm, delicious!" Oh no, I might start speaking out loud like the person next to us! My son might hear me. "Mmm, delicious!" I had to drink more beer to stop myself from blurting out my thoughts. The atmosphere of the trip seemed to enhance the flavor. Was it so delicious because I'm Ichiran's mom? Was it always this good? It was a two-day trip. Limited number of meals. That's why I went to the main branch of Ichiran and was surprised to find out that they are open 24 hours a day. Amazing. I went there at 5 in the morning and it was still quite crowded. I had the natural tonkotsu ramen for 980 yen and added nori for 130 yen. It was perfect for my tired body in the morning. To be honest, I don't remember the taste exactly, but I think it was delicious. What impressed me more was that they are open at such early hours, and I am grateful for that.

I had a vague feeling of wanting to eat a lot or keep it simple after drinking, so I ordered the normal ramen. I felt the reassuring sense of security unique to Ichiran, and the consistent taste that I have come to expect even at 2 am. I heard from my senior the next day that if you choose "●" for the green onions, you will get two types. I will try that next time.
