Walking around Omoide Yokocho in the heat, I found a happy hour sign and decided to check it out. I took the elevator to the 3rd floor and was greeted with a beautiful view of Shinjuku's night skyline. The air conditioning was working well, creating a comfortable indoor environment. During happy hour, they offered draft beer and highballs for only 190 yen each. For those who prefer other drinks, there was a 2-hour all-you-can-drink option for 1500 yen. Since it was my second stop of the night, I only had a few snacks. The recommended dishes included an appetizer for 300 yen, water eggplant sashimi for 580 yen, and seared mackerel for 780 yen. The prices for the snacks were a bit high, and the presentation could have been more creative. However, the staff, consisting of about three people, were all friendly and welcoming, which added to the enjoyable experience of discovering this hidden gem of a restaurant.

After finishing at the first hot pot restaurant, we headed to Memories Alley. The place was packed with foreigners, and every shop seemed to be full of customers. We chose a slightly more spacious place that we had heard about in advance. Even this place was almost full. We started with a toast with beer and then tried a variety of Japanese sake - "JIKOMI," "HOUHAI," "HIROKI," and "SENKIN." The selection and reasonable prices were impressive. Since we were already full from the first restaurant, we ordered some light snacks - yakitori (thigh, tsukune, chicken tenderloin), Negi-maki (green onion wrapped in pork), and gyoza. Everything was delicious, especially the sweet and tender Negi-maki. Overall, it was a casual izakaya with great food and service. Thank you for the meal!

I reserved a tatami room for a drinking party. Although smoking was allowed, I was worried it might be smoky, but it turned out the smokiness was from the grilled chicken skewers! The food overall was delicious! Especially, the marinated mackerel was a big hit. It was really tasty. The oden and skewers were also very well received! The oden had a gentle broth and the skewers were cooked to perfection! However, the fried rice was not good at all. The seasoning was normal, but the rice was hard and clumped together, like when you overheat rice at home. I love fried rice at izakayas, so I was disappointed. Overall, the food was delicious! Just because of the fried rice, I'll give it 4 stars.

As soon as I entered the restaurant, the cigarette smoke was strong because it was a smoking establishment. However, they provided a semi-private booth, so I didn't mind it too much during the meal. I asked for a surprise plate, and they prepared a stylish one that I was satisfied with.

I went there around 5 pm on Saturday because it was not crowded. They had a lot of Japanese sake, but some items were sold out. The food menu was extensive, but some items were out of stock. The oden had just the right seasoning. I chose soy sauce butter-flavored fried potatoes, which were crispy and matched well with the sake!

After watching Avengers Endgame with friends, we went to a restaurant called Ennansubi in Shinjuku. It's located in the Omoide Yokocho above Matsuya on the Seibu Shinjuku side. We had reserved a course meal, which was all-you-can-drink. The restaurant is a smoking establishment with about half of the seats occupied. The food was served one after another, and some of the dishes that stood out were the fried chicken, simmered tripe, and seared beef harami. The fried chicken was crispy and delicious, the tripe was tender and tasty, and the harami was juicy and paired well with the alcohol. We ordered black beer, apple vinegar sour, and Emperor of the Night (sake) served both chilled and warm. As we enjoyed the drinks, we started to feel tipsy. It was a great meal.

I made a reservation and arrived at the restaurant. My name was not on the reservation board, so I had to check my phone to confirm. After being seated, I was completely ignored while other customers who came after me were given hot towels and served their first orders. Even when I tried to get the attention of the staff, they took a long time to notice me. It seemed like there were not enough staff members, and even when they did notice, they took a while to come over. The heating was blowing cold air directly at me, and the food that was served was lukewarm. Even the beer mug was at room temperature, which was disappointing.

On this day, after having beef tongue and Chinese food, we still had some time left so we decided to finish off with a light meal. We visited this popular place. When we arrived, it was almost 11 pm on the weekend and the restaurant was almost full. Luckily, there was space at the counter so we were able to get in easily. I ordered a highball and some tuna sashimi, as well as some rare blowfish tempura. We enjoyed the food and drank a lot of alcohol, it was a great meal. We made it home in time for the last train. - Taste Evaluation - Tuna Sashimi: The tuna sashimi here is always made with good quality fish, and this time the red meat was delicious. Overall, despite being quite crowded, the restaurant was welcoming and accommodating. It's a great place to drink in Shinjuku since it's close to the station.

I was satisfied after eating steak, but I thought I might have one more drink, so I stopped by here. When I arrived at the restaurant, it was almost empty on a weekday in the first half of the week. I guess it's normal for things to be quiet at times. I sat down and ordered right away. I started with my usual highball. For snacks, I had sashimi, grated yam with wasabi, and the recommended simmered tripe. I had a good conversation with the staff and a junior colleague, and after about five highballs, I left. Thank you for the meal. - Taste Evaluation - Tuna sashimi The tuna that day was okay. It might need a bit more aging. Simmered tripe Usually, tripe stew is in soy sauce, but that day it had a salty taste. The soup was delicious and made me want to eat it over rice. Overall, the food was as usual, but the simmered tripe was a great find. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

Using on Saturdays, 2.5 hours of all-you-can-drink for 2,980 yen is a great deal. It's nice to be able to smoke at the table and drink a lot of alcohol. The food is nothing special, but considering the price, having any food available is appreciated. The crowd is young and lively.

Shinjuku Omoide Yokocho on the third floor! They have oden, yakitori, and various other types of food! The menu has a lot of anime characters, making it hard to read haha. Good value for money, and sitting by the window you can see the trains, which is nice! Will definitely come back!! Shinjuku Shiori.

I didn't take any photos, but it was so good that I wanted to share in words! Six of us visited this restaurant and enjoyed a 3-hour all-you-can-drink course. Many places shorten it to 2 hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and the day before holidays, but here we got a full 3 hours on a Saturday for only 3000 yen! The variety of drinks was amazing, with even beer available. The food was also delicious. I definitely want to make this place our top choice for the next drinking party!

Cheap, but the food, portion size, and quality are all below expectations. However, considering the price... well, it's all-you-can-drink, so it's not completely different from what I imagined. As someone who made a reservation, I feel unsure about this place. For those who prioritize price, this might be a good option.

Because it's a JR guard-side seat, you can see the train passing by while enjoying your drink. It can be a bit difficult to place an order when it gets crowded, but the staff are attentive and make sure you're taken care of. When your glass is empty, they politely ask if you'd like another drink, subtly reminding you of their sales goals. The menu consists of three drink books, offering a wide variety of food options that never get boring. Despite being affordable, the food doesn't lack flavor, and the seared mackerel was delicious with its rich fatty taste. It was so good that I even thought it might be better seared.

Today, once again I received an invitation to a drinking party from a friend with a difficult personality, at the usual late hour. With no reason to refuse, I reluctantly went out. There are not many places where you can drink on a Sunday at 11:00 PM, so we ended up at this restaurant! I have been to Memory Lane a few times, but this time the restaurant was on the third floor of a building near the Oogado Nishi intersection, and there was an elevator in a hard-to-find spot. Going up in the elevator, the restaurant looked surprisingly clean and modern, unlike what I expected from Memory Lane! However, since it was so late, our first order was told to be the last order... Overall, the food was a mix of delicious dishes and not-so-great ones! The assorted yakitori had a spicy seasoning which was very unique and tasty. The potato salad, a favorite of my friend, was a bit watery and lacked acidity. I would like to visit this place again at an earlier time. Thank you for the meal!

Visited this restaurant at the beginning of 2019! It was my second visit, and the cost performance is still amazing! The drinks are cheap, and the food is affordable. The menu is right in the middle of typical izakaya dishes, not fancy or creative. They have a wide variety of draft beers, highballs, and sours that fill up a whole page in the menu. The seating arrangement includes open tables and semi-private booths, making it very convenient. The location is also great, so it's a restaurant worth remembering. I will definitely visit again!

The course meal was disappointing because it was different from the photo (served on a plate instead of on a teppanyaki grill).
