Visit date May 3, 2022, around 10 pm on Tuesday. A popular Asahikawa ramen shop in Sanroku Town. It stands out because it is right under the large sign of Asahiyama, the symbol of Asahikawa. The store was crowded during Golden Week, and we had to wait a bit for a seat to open up. The interior of the store is a counter with table seats and a moderate size, with a casual atmosphere. Everyone is enjoying their meals with a drink in hand. Menu highlights: - Negi Ramen (soy sauce, salt, miso) - Salmon Broth Ramen (soy sauce, salt, miso) - Scallop Ramen (soy sauce, salt, miso) - Okhotsk Soy Sauce Ramen - Veggie Potage Ramen - Tantanmen - Ankake Yakisoba - Chinese Fried Rice - Spicy Cha-han - Zangi Curry The menu is very diverse with a variety of rice dishes as well. There are also many types of curry, and the Cha-han curry caught my eye. - Ichizoku Ramen ¥1000 I chose soy sauce flavor, and when it arrived, the surface was filled with green, with white leeks neatly arranged on top. When you move the leeks aside, you'll find chashu, egg, and menma hidden underneath. The homemade noodles made from Hokkaido wheat are the basic form of Asahikawa ramen, with a medium-thin twisted noodle. The sharp soup is very light in taste. It seems to be made by simmering carefully selected pork bones and several types of vegetables for a long time. It goes well with the crispy texture of the leeks. - Char-mayo Hand Roll ¥400 I ordered the Char-mayo as a side dish, and it's nice that you can choose between a bowl or a hand roll. It's quite voluminous, with plenty of chashu mixed with mayonnaise. When you hold it in your hand, it's soft and fluffy, almost like the ingredients are going to fall out. When you hastily take a bite, it's incredibly delicious~ Summary: Located right in the heart of the downtown area, it's a great location. It's open until 4 am, making it a convenient spot for a late-night ramen after drinking. As famous ramen shops in Asahikawa close early, it's also recommended for when you're in a pinch. PayPay payment is not accepted. Instagram @moritapan7 has videos too.

I visited the restaurant "Ikura Asahikawa Main Store" located on the 1st floor of a building along Showa Street, a few minutes' walk from JR Asahikawa Station North Exit, during my trip to Hokkaido in early September. The restaurant has a total of 41 seats, including counter seats and table seats, and I chose to sit at the counter. I ordered the "Ikura Ramen (Salt)" (1000 yen) from the menu on the table. The ramen was served promptly, and it consisted of medium-thick curly noodles with plenty of green onions, white leeks, chashu, egg, and menma, representing the lush greenery of the northern lands. The soup was rich and delicious, and I couldn't help but drink it all up. The noodles were cooked just right, and I enjoyed slurping them up. The ingredients were simple but satisfying, providing just the right amount of volume. I finished every last drop of soup and cleaned my bowl. It was a delicious meal.

I visited on a regular night and was able to get in without waiting. I chose the Ichizo Ramen for 1000 yen. It was a light and refreshing soy sauce broth with curly noodles and plenty of green onions. It's not too heavy, so I think it's perfect for finishing off a meal. However, I felt that the price was a bit high compared to the portion size and satisfaction.

I realized that Asahikawa ramen culture is such that if you don't go early, the shops will close due to running out of soup. As I was walking around, I noticed a building with "Otokoyama" written boldly on it, and underneath was ramen! I went inside immediately. Despite being told there was a 30-minute wait, I didn't mind as I was already in a ramen state of mind. The atmosphere inside the restaurant had a nice Showa era vibe. The staff's operation seemed a bit sloppy. I thought maybe they weren't unconsciously valuing customer service in terms of entering and exiting the hall at this restaurant. The kitchen was also quite calm. As for the taste, the gyoza was impressive, but the ramen itself was not as good as expected. I hate to say it, but it didn't have any distinctive features. It might be good for those who like light ramen and prefer their chashu on the firmer side. The prices are cheap.

I stayed in Asahikawa during my trip to Hokkaido and decided to have dinner at a sushi restaurant before heading to try the Asahikawa Ramen. The restaurant was quite popular, with a line of customers waiting for about 20 minutes. It was packed, giving the impression that it was a popular spot. The ramen had a light soy sauce base with a hint of seafood broth, which was both light and rich, just the way I like it. I also enjoyed some draft beer and highball, and the gyoza was delicious too.

I was looking for a place to eat alone late at night and decided to visit this restaurant because it had high ratings. They had a wide variety of ramen to choose from, but I ended up ordering the signature ramen with the restaurant's name in it. The taste was average, neither good nor bad, and the prices were a bit high so the value for money may not be great. The gyoza came with soy sauce, olive oil, and chili oil, and dipping them in both soy sauce and olive oil was surprisingly delicious. If there are no other options, it might be worth a visit, but it's not a restaurant I would go out of my way to visit.

I visited "Ichikura Asahikawa Main Store" on May 26th for the first time. Every time I visit Asahikawa on business, I try to visit, but I never had the chance during their daytime hours. I wonder if it's due to the COVID-19 measures? Today, my daughter and I visited at 8:30 PM. There were 3 groups of customers ahead of us, totaling 4 people. It wasn't as crowded as I expected, which was lucky. We ordered the must-try "Ichikura Ramen" which was topped with a generous amount of green onions. They also had Silky Ice Cream on the menu. I wonder if anyone actually orders that? I tried it once at a soba restaurant in Sapporo (laughs). We ordered the following: - Ichikura Ramen (miso) for 1,000 yen - Miso Butter Ramen for 950 yen It was a pay-after-eating system. The food was served in about 7 minutes. The Ichikura Ramen (miso) was a visual delight for green onion lovers. The toppings were loaded with green onions, and even more white leeks on top. I couldn't quite figure out the toppings other than the onions (laughs). I found bamboo shoots, chashu pork, and a boiled egg. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles with a high water content. The way the noodles interacted with the soup was outstanding. The extra points for the abundance of green onions. However, the soup's flavor was a bit weak. I might have to try another menu item to fully appreciate the flavors. Thank you for the meal.

Shoyu Ramen for 800 yen I wanted to eat ramen around Asahikawa Station, but couldn't find many places open around 8 pm. I ended up choosing this place. The menu recommended the Salmon Broth Ramen, but I decided to go with the simple Shoyu Ramen, which is a classic in Asahikawa. The soup had a slight sweetness to it, and the noodles were curly and had a good firmness to them. It was a nice way to finish off the night with a drink!

After visiting four different places, the tipsy group of friends from Yuran decided to end their night at Meiran, a place that stays open late. The restaurant was surprisingly spacious and crowded with customers. When it comes to Asahikawa, soy sauce is the popular choice, but Yuran prefers salt ramen. While some around them opted for soy sauce ramen, Yuran chose salt ramen to avoid the strong smell of green onions. Their salt ramen was simple yet delicious, with toppings of chashu, menma, and green onions in a gentle salt-flavored pork bone and vegetable broth. It was light but packed with flavor, satisfying the tipsy stomachs of the group. They finished their bowls quickly and toasted to more ramen adventures.

After enjoying the night in Asahikawa, it's a must to have ramen as a final meal. In my mind, Sapporo is known for miso ramen, while Asahikawa is known for soy sauce ramen. Let's try a ramen shop called Ichizo. Looking at the menu, their specialty seems to be Ichizo ramen with plenty of green onions, inspired by the northern land. I decided to order the soy sauce flavor. The flavor of the soup was a bit weak. The noodles were not my favorite type. The large amount of green onions made the soup's temperature drop. There were menma and chashu, but overall, the contents seemed average and didn't stand out.

Visited the restaurant for the first time after finishing the second round at 11:00 PM. Sat at a table with the friend who guided me and ordered the "Special Ramen/Shoyu" for ¥950. Despite already drinking, the ramen had a rich flavor and was very delicious.

I went to Asahikawa for work and ended up having okonomiyaki, bistro, and bar hopping, finishing with ramen. It was Asahikawa soy sauce style. There weren't many places open at night, but I found this place which seemed good. It was a limited choice, but the food was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

The reviewer was warned not to go to a certain ramen shop for their second stop after a night out in Asahikawa, but curiosity got the better of them. They found a shop with a variety of ramen options, including unique flavors like scallop soy sauce ramen. The reviewer tried the salmon broth soy sauce ramen and found it delicious, with a distinct salmon aroma and a good balance of flavors. They finished their meal quickly and were left wondering why they were advised not to visit the shop in the first place.

I had a light drink in Sanroku town, then felt like having a bowl of ramen on my way back to the inn, so I came here. I had a soy sauce ramen made with a dashi broth using salmon. I was a bit hesitant at first, but it wasn't fishy at all, and had a refined and elegant taste... but you could still taste the salmon! It was delicious. It was interesting. There are always new "delicious" things to discover when traveling, and I was impressed by this unique bowl of ramen!

First, a warning. Do not eat the numerous green onions at the beginning. They are spicy. It is better to soak them in the ramen soup before eating. In conclusion, it wasn't very delicious (personal opinion). Maybe they put cold green onions in it? The ramen soup cools down a bit because of the green onions. The soy sauce doesn't stand out. The noodles don't have any special characteristics. The chashu pork slices are... The harmony between the green onions and the ramen is lacking, the green onions didn't really add anything. I had high expectations for this place, so it's disappointing. I won't be visiting again.

I tried two types of regular soy sauce ramen and compared the taste, but I don't think I would pay this price for a regular soy sauce ramen. They also had ice cream, but I wouldn't pay that price for it either. It was a bit disappointing. However, the restaurant was clean! It might be good for a family outing.

I went out drinking in town after a long time, and it was on a cold day. We ended up having ramen. Two of us, including a superior from work, entered the restaurant and were seated at a table. It was a Sunday night, so it wasn't crowded. About 30 years ago, Asahikawa was always packed with people, even during the bubble era... I ordered soy sauce ramen. It was ready in just a few minutes. The ramen seemed a bit small. First, the soup. Yes, the saltiness was just right, and the gentle flavor of the broth was delicious. The noodles were Asahikawa-style, and they paired well with the soup. The bamboo shoots had a natural seasoning that didn't overpower. That was good too. The chashu felt a bit small (it was like cutting one slice in half), but it was my favorite kind with a good amount of lean meat. The portion of noodles was just right and easy to eat. Ramen as the last meal in cold Asahikawa. It's common sense, isn't it? It was delicious. I feel like visiting again. When you drink, end with ramen here. Thank you for the meal!

Last time I came here, I had scallop ramen, so today I will try the Ichikura Ramen, which is the name of the restaurant. It has an abundance of green onions. It is said to have the image of a Hokkaido grassland. The soup is surprisingly normal with a strong soy sauce flavor from salmon broth. The strong flavor of the green onions may divide opinions - I like green onion ramen, but the overall balance seems off with the overpowering universal green onion flavor. The noodles are medium-thin curly noodles, not bad but lacking a distinct feature. The chashu is a bit dry and mediocre. Overall, the impact of the green onions is too strong, and the overall balance is not quite right. I was disappointed as the scallop ramen I had last time was delicious. I will probably go back to the scallop ramen next time. Thank you for the meal!

I had sushi for dinner and then went back to the hotel. Feeling a little hungry, I decided to stop by this restaurant. Even though it was late, the place was crowded. When I asked for a recommendation, I was suggested to try their Negi Ramen. The green onions were lightly stir-fried and had a nice sesame oil flavor. The soup was simple, with the green onions being the star of the dish. It was refreshing and easy to eat, perfect for a late-night meal after drinking. Thank you for the meal.

- Order... I got the Ichizo Ramen, with green onions floating on the surface of the soup, but no visible ingredients (laughs). It looks like a grassland. - Dish... I had the soy sauce flavor, but the soup didn't have much impact. It's not Sapporo Ramen, so it doesn't have the curly egg noodles. The noodles used were not particularly thin. Unfortunately, the price is high, and the cost performance is quite low. I was told some trivia about Asahikawa Ramen, but it's disappointing. I still feel like I want some kind of impact unique to Hokkaido.

"I know it's 1,000 yen for a bowl of Ichizo Ramen (shoyu), but it's delicious. It's my routine to go there for ramen as a finishing touch after drinking, even though I'm not particularly hungry. I know I'll regret it the next day, but the location is just so convenient. They have regular shoyu, salt, and miso ramen, as well as a kids' size which is perfect for a finishing touch. But I always end up ordering the Ichizo Ramen. And I will continue to eat it in the future!"
