It's a famous restaurant in Shinsekai. I was surprised to find a store in Umeda, so I'm happy! It's close to Higashi-Umeda Station. They use a QR code scanning ordering system, which makes it easy to order, but there's a bit of an analog feel that gives the feeling of visiting a traditional restaurant. I ordered the "Dotonbori Set" with 12 skewers and pickled ginger as a side. The beef skewers had a great match of meat, batter, and oil flavor, and the shrimp was big and juicy! When it comes to skewers, you have to have pickled ginger - especially with the pork skewers! The combination of fatty pork, meat, and batter was delicious. Among all the skewers, this one is highly recommended. The pickled ginger can only be ordered separately, as it is not included in the set menu. The sauce was poured on instead of being served in a dipping dish, so I wish I could have tried dipping the skewers in the sauce. The staff were all very friendly. Thank you for the meal.

I decided to visit Kushi Katsu Daruma after many decades, and I was impressed by the many changes that have taken place. The kushi katsu was delicious and just to my liking, as well as reasonably priced. I would love to come back again. Thank you for the meal.

I have been to other restaurants before, but this was my first time visiting the Whity Umeda store. I was originally planning to go to an okonomiyaki restaurant because I wanted to eat something Osaka-like, but everywhere in Umeda on Sunday night had long waiting times. I was unsure of what to do, but then I found this place where I could easily get a table. I ordered the Shinsekai set, cabbage, and ginger ale. The Shinsekai set cost 1600 yen, cabbage was 100 yen, and ginger ale was 300 yen, excluding tax. Freshly fried kushikatsu was brought to our table right away. The freshly fried kushikatsu was delicious. I was disappointed that the cabbage was an additional charge and that the sauce for dipping was also extra. The dipping sauce cost 240 yen. While the sauce can in a can adds to the atmosphere, I prefer the type you can pour as you like. I like to generously pour sauce over everything.

We went there on Saturday at 11 o'clock with two people, but we were seated right away. Instead of dipping the skewers in sauce, you put the sauce on a plate and eat it that way. The food was served quickly and delicious. Although there are several kushikatsu restaurants near Whity, we were lucky to find this one empty.

The delicious kushikatsu did not give me stomachache as usual, but it felt a little inferior compared to the Shinsaibashi branch I visited before. It was convenient to order with a mobile phone, as most dishes had photos attached. I was shocked that the asparagus was tiny and shriveled... I thought the asparagus at Kushikatsu Tanaka was much better.

I made a reservation and tried the New World Set with 9 skewers for 1,760 yen including tax. When you make a reservation, ordering the set is a must. The dote-yaki in the set was incredibly delicious! Highly recommended! The kimchi was also delicious as expected. The skewers had a sweet batter, which the kids really enjoyed. There are foreign staff members, but their Japanese is so good that they might speak better than some Japanese people. It was quite fun and reassuring. They accept R Pay.

I visited around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night! When I arrived at the restaurant, there were about 2 groups waiting, but I was seated in about 15 minutes. The sausages, original kushikatsu, shrimp, etc., were all very delicious. The ordering system was done through a smartphone, the restaurant was full but the service was quick and excellent!

A few years ago, I visited a restaurant in Shinchi, and it had been a long time since then, so it was quite a while since I had been to Daruma. I couldn't remember the menu or what they offered, but I was lured in by the menu at the storefront and decided to enter. I ordered a bottled beer at the counter and then placed the rest of my order through a QR code on my smartphone. Daruma and family restaurants have changed a lot, haven't they? I ordered a variety of kushikatsu skewers and the specialty doteyaki. The best dish was probably the kushikatsu that was more like deep-fried. The bottled beer was a large one, but it cost 770 yen, which was surprising to me because I always thought Daruma was cheap. Maybe it's because it's in Umeda?

Most of the shops in this area open at around 11:00 am, but this shop opens at 10:00 am. Unlike the common standing-style, here you can sit at a counter or table and enjoy your meal. This is very convenient for tourists or those with time constraints or luggage. Orders are mainly placed through a smartphone, but if you have trouble, the staff will assist you. I usually order a set menu. I ordered a set of 9 skewers, with edamame instead of simmered dish for an additional 100 yen. In return, I ordered some cabbage. In a few minutes, the beer, edamame, and cabbage were brought to me for a toast. After a while, the first 5 skewers were served. Although the mochi texture was different, it was easy to eat.

I entered the restaurant around 3:00 PM on Saturday, and there were quite a few customers inside. I thought it was impressive that they have a shop in Ginza, but it turned out the service was just slow. There was only one person frying the skewers, and I could tell from their name tag that they were a foreigner. The Whitey Set was 2450 yen and the plum wine was 450 yen, excluding tax.

Kushikatsu Daruma! I came to Osaka with friends and tried it for the first time! The coating is crispy and delicious! The mixed juice was rich and tasty too! The sauce was for dipping! You can choose from a variety of skewers either as a set or individually!

On the first night of my Osaka sightseeing trip, I had dinner at Kushi-katsu Daruma, famous for its skewered cutlets. I tried Doteyaki for the first time, which had beef tendons and konjac, and its rich flavor paired well with alcohol. The skewers had a characteristic fine and crispy coating. Personally, I found the original skewers, eel, and sweet potatoes to be delicious.

On Monday around 8:00 PM, about 3 groups of customers visited the town. They came into the shop and ordered Daruma Highball and a large amount of kushikatsu. The batter here is really good, I ate until I was full and happy. Thank you for the delicious meal! The mozzarella cheese and sweet potato were the winners.

A famous kushikatsu chain in Osaka. You can order additional dipping sauce, but the base is the sauce that is poured over. Overall, it was pretty much as expected. The thin coating is nice, but personally I'm not a fan of the slight sweetness. The variety of fillings inside is enjoyable and the taste is not bad.

When you think of Osaka, you think of kushikatsu! I had a hard time finding Whitey Umeda because I'm directionally challenged. Since I was alone, I was seated right away. I started with a Miyazaki mango sake for a toast, which was delicious. The cassis orange I had for my second drink was also sweet and amazing. Everything looks the same when it's fried, but my favorites were the grilled sweet potato (limited edition) and the pork cutlet. The bill came out to around 5000 yen, even though I was dining alone. I love to eat a lot, so I'd love to go back again.

I ordered a set of doteyaki, 6 skewers, and 1 cider for about 1500 yen~! My recommendation is definitely the pickled ginger!! It's incredibly delicious, so I really want you to try it (^_-)-☆ The pickled ginger itself has a strong flavor, so it goes really well with the thin coating, and I recommend eating it without any sauce. The cabbage was messy with multiple layers, and the sauce wasn't to my taste for kushikatsu, so I would rate it 3.5 stars><

The lightly fried and crispy small skewers are so good, you can eat as many as you want. I prefer the pork cutlet over the original skewers. The mozzarella cheese stretches nicely, so make sure to eat it fresh. There was a line, but the turnover rate was good so the wait wasn't too long. I think this is the place to go for skewers in Osaka if you don't want to be disappointed.

The oil was too heavy and made me feel sick after a few skewers. They didn't wipe the part of the skewer that you hold with your hands, so my hands were sticky. The popular restaurant always has long lines, so I wanted to try it once, but I don't understand why it's so popular. They told me to order from my phone, but when I looked at the menu on my phone, the rice dishes that were listed on the paper menu were not there. The prices are not cheap either, so I don't need to go back.

I went to a clinic in Osaka for a glutathione drip, and while I was there, I tried lunch at Kushikatsu Daruma for the first time. The restaurant is located in Whity Umeda, Osaka. I sat at the counter since I was dining alone. It was so cold inside that I had to put my coat back on. I ordered lunch by speaking to the staff instead of using the QR code on the menu. I had a large bottle of water, the original kushikatsu, pork katsu, garlic chicken skewers, asparagus, onion, and oysters, which totaled 1,683 yen. I wonder if the kushikatsu batter always looks like this? If I have the chance, I would like to visit the main branch someday. There was a long line at Sushi Sakaba Sashi Sushi right in front of the restaurant, despite it being a weekday. #OsakaGourmet #UmedaGourmet #WhityUmedaGourmet #LunchOnly #SoloFemaleDiner #KushikatsuDaruma #KushikatsuDarumaWhityUmeda #KushikatsuFan #SushiSakabaSashiSushi #WhityUmeda #Tenmabashi #GlutathioneDrip #Tachion #OxygenInhalation #MultipleChemicalSensitivity #MultipleChemicalSensitivityTreatment #IkuraChanEatingAroundHyogoPrefecture

I visited this place because they accept traveler support coupons. It's a large chain, so you can order with your smartphone. I forgot to ask, but I assume those without smartphones can place their orders verbally. It would be nice if they also provided WiFi if smartphone ordering is the default. Due to COVID, the sauce is in bottle form, which made me wonder if it's any better since many customers handle it. The fried skewers they serve are consistently good, and I appreciated the hard work of the young male staff.
