At night, I made a reservation in advance at the restaurant "Sushi and Shabu-Shabu No.8" in Umeda and arrived. I don't know why it's called No.8, but there must be a reason. I was invited to come and eat because my companion had been here before and said it was delicious. ・ All-you-can-eat sushi and shabu-shabu (with black wagyu and beef tongue) for 6,800 yen ・ All-you-can-eat sushi and shabu-shabu for 6,000 yen ・ All-you-can-eat sushi for 5,000 yen ・ All-you-can-eat shabu-shabu (with black wagyu and beef tongue) for 5,800 yen ・ All-you-can-eat shabu-shabu for 5,000 yen There are only 5 types of clear accounting for 120 minutes, with last order at 90 minutes. We chose the 6,800 yen option with black wagyu and beef tongue, feeling like jumping off the stage of Kiyomizu Temple. For the shabu-shabu broth, you can choose 2 out of the following 10 types. Well, this is not particularly unusual as you can choose this at any shabu-shabu specialty store. We chose "Master's Kombu Dashi" and "Tonkotsu White Broth". I actually wanted to choose "Spicy Chinese Hot Pot" instead of Tonkotsu White Broth, but my companion said she didn't like it because it has a strong flavor... I like it though. For those who are sensitive to cold, please try the Spicy Chinese Hot Pot, it's delicious (just my personal opinion). The vegetables to put in the pot are all-you-can-eat, but they bring them to you at the beginning, so if you run out, you can go to the counter to get more. Next to the all-you-can-eat vegetables, there are various sauces for the pot. "Special Ponzu Sauce", "Special Sesame Sauce", "Spicy Chinese Sauce", "Yuzu Ponzu Sauce", "White Ponzu Sauce". My companion chose the sesame sauce, and I like light flavors, so I chose yuzu ponzu sauce and white ponzu sauce. There are also several condiments such as ichimi and sesame next to the all-you-can-eat vegetables, so it's a complete package. When we returned to the table, the staff brought us the black wagyu, which was incredibly large and thinly sliced like a marbled sirloin steak. It has a clean marbling and you can tell it's fresh. Now, we will enjoy the large black wagyu shabu-shabu meat in the pot... Ah, it's so delicious. Tears come to my eyes... The umami of the meat and the sweetness of the fat condensed into a refreshing ponzu sauce... Can there be anything more blissful than this? In addition to black wagyu, you can also eat beef tongue, beef thigh, brisket, beef intestines, chicken thigh, morning-pulled chicken breast, pork belly, pork shoulder loin, and sausages, but why eat extra things and fill up your stomach when you've already paid 6,800 yen... Black wagyu is the only choice (I'm so stingy). Oh right, the price includes sushi as well... I should eat my fill of that too (I'm really cheap). You can order up to 4 items per person at a time. So we ordered in 3 rounds. Tuna lean (180 yen), salmon (180 yen), yellowtail (180 yen), medium fatty tuna (240 yen), scallop (240 yen), red sea bream (180 yen), meat-wrapped battleship with sea urchin (400 yen), meat-wrapped battleship with salmon roe (400 yen), sea urchin with egg (300 yen), wagyu lean (200 yen), marbled wagyu (330 yen), red shrimp (240 yen), white fish with kelp (200 yen), sea urchin (400 yen), seared fatty tuna and salmon (180 yen), overflowing seafood roll (800 yen). Of course, it's all-you-can-eat, but I'll write down the individual prices that were on the menu just in case. Sushi starts from 180 yen, which is a very reasonable price range, but surprisingly, the size of the fish is huge. In this kind of restaurant, the sushi is usually thin and looks like it was made by an amateur, similar to what you would find at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but here, the size of the sushi made at the counter is not inferior at all. And it's really delicious... this is a very high level. Sushi.
