I casually stopped by around 7 pm on Friday and was able to get in with almost no wait. The freshly fried tempura had a deliciously light coating that wasn't too heavy, allowing me to eat plenty without feeling overwhelmed. The sauce was tasty. To reduce waste, they no longer offer free cabbage. It seems like a restaurant where even a single person can easily dine.

On the way back from INTEX Osaka, my colleague requested to stop by Daruma in Shinsaibashi. It's a bit of a detour from INTEX Osaka to Shinsaibashi via Honmachi. Despite being a casual restaurant, my colleague was very impressed. Personally, if I'm going to take a detour, I'd prefer to go to a different restaurant. At that time, I didn't use Tabelog and didn't take any photos, but this time I made sure to take some. However, I could only take photos like this because if I took them normally, other customers would be captured in the shot. Today, we had the Shinsaibashi set of 15 skewers for 2,400 yen, plus appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks, totaling 3,036 yen. By the way, this is my second time here, but my colleague requested to go back to Daruma again, but it was full of foreign tourists on that day. What's so great about it? Haha.

I have always wanted to go, so I visited this restaurant with my boyfriend during our sightseeing trip in Osaka. The wait wasn't long, only about 20 minutes, and I was happy that it went smoothly. There were many different dishes, and each skewer was large and satisfying, with delicious flavors. There were a lot of foreign tourists, which made me think it must be a popular spot for sightseeing. The restaurant had many seats, so it seemed like they could serve a lot of customers efficiently. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to Osaka, everyone loves Kushikatsu Daruma! It feels like I come here every time. Everyone loves Kushikatsu Daruma! It's easy to eat and delicious while it's hot. By the way, despite being on a weekday, it was always very crowded and I had to wait a bit. It's refreshing to see the train carrying the kushikatsu like a conveyor belt sushi. Kids will love it! My child is quite big now but still enjoys it. Kushikatsu can be ordered one skewer at a time, but we always go for the set menu. By the way, you order using a touch panel! Of course, if you need anything, it's okay to call a staff member. There are great value sets like the Shinsekai Set, Dotonbori Set, and Horyuji Set! The Dotonbori Set comes with 9 skewers and a quick menu item! The price is 1800 yen! The Dotonbori Set includes the original kushikatsu, pork cutlet, tsukune, mochi, natural shrimp, asparagus, quail egg, wiener, cheese fish cake, and lemon sour and Kushikatsu Daruma's original ramune for drinks! The freshly fried skewers were delivered by train! The crispy texture is delicious. You can eat it quickly and easily. My favorite is the shrimp and mochi. Highly recommended! Of course, the original kushikatsu is also delicious! When it comes to Osaka, it's definitely Kushikatsu Daruma. I'll definitely go back when I visit Osaka again. The taste remains consistently great. The COVID-19 prevention measures are also well implemented. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I used to enjoy delicious food at a different store. So, I decided to go there with my nephew who came from the countryside. The place was crowded with many people and had a good reputation. We received a ticket and waited for about 15 minutes before being seated on the second floor. We ordered using a touch panel and the kushikatsu was brought to us on a rail. I tried dipping it in sauce and taking a bite, but wait, it's not hot. It was my first time having kushikatsu at such a lukewarm temperature. Some pieces were not fried properly and had a white back. It was very disappointing. I mentioned it to the staff, and they offered to serve it again, but I couldn't eat that much. Maybe it was just a one-time thing on that day, but this is not acceptable.

Daruma Shinsaibashi Store: 1-5-17 Shinsaibashi-suji, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. Prices for skewers start at 2500 yen per person (tax included). When in Osaka, one of the top 3 gourmet foods you must try is the skewers at "Daruma." The skewers are cooked after you order, and the batter is finely textured and crispy, not greasy. The menu includes items like pickled ginger, black wagyu beef, mochi cheese bacon, and natural shrimp. My personal recommendation is the asparagus and soft-boiled egg skewers. The atmosphere is welcoming even for solo diners, so I would love to visit this restaurant again when I travel to Osaka.

I had the best time eating kushikatsu and lemon sour during the day! It was a shock that the cabbage was charged separately, but the crispy batter was delicious as always. We went with three people and it was a little over 4000 yen, which was friendly to our wallets! I will definitely go back!

I finally made it here. I've had kushikatsu a few times before, but it always tastes the same no matter where you go. That's been my impression, not really feeling much appeal. Here, you order using a touch panel, and the food is served like at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Since the incident with the double-dipping sauce, they don't allow it anymore, and the sauce is just poured on top, which was a bit disappointing. After eating five skewers, I started to get tired of it, so let's go home. I enjoyed the meal today as well. Thank you for the meal.

There was a long line, so I nervously got a waiting ticket and it said about a 16-minute wait. I actually ended up waiting around 25 minutes, but it was nice to be able to leave the restaurant with the ticket. It was interesting to see the kushikatsu being delivered by train, like a conveyor belt sushi restaurant (lol). Also, each seat had a name of a station on the Osaka Loop Line (lol). I tried a few different types of kushikatsu and the asparagus and shrimp were delicious! I remember having kushikatsu at a different restaurant before and the batter was thin and crispy, which was tasty! This time, the batter was thicker and had a slightly chewy texture (it was my first time visiting the Shinsaibashi branch). It was still delicious though!

During a family trip to Osaka for Golden Week, we decided to stop by a kushikatsu restaurant in America-mura on our way back. It was a short walk from our hotel, located on a bustling shopping street leading from Dotonbori. We arrived to find the place busy with customers, so we used the touch panel to make a reservation and waited for about 20 minutes before being seated. We ordered the Dotonbori set, Shinsekai set, Shinsaibashi set, and a few other items from the à la carte menu. The kushikatsu arrived on a conveyor belt-like system, similar to a sushi train. The kushikatsu was decent - freshly fried and crispy, while the dipping sauce was self-serve. The doteyaki could have used more flavor. Each member of our family enjoyed trying different types of kushikatsu. The total bill for our family of five came to around 15,500 yen. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Kushi Katsu Daruma in Osaka for the second time on 4/30! This time, I went for lunch because I was short on time, but you can eat as many skewers as you like, so I had a few and then moved on. Last time I didn't try the pickled ginger, but I heard it was delicious so I gave it a try, and it really goes well with the katsu! I will definitely come back again.

When it comes to Osaka's kushikatsu, double dipping is not allowed, as the sauce is for single use. The taste is delicious, but I felt that the portion of beef was too small. However, I did not feel that the other items lacked in volume.

I took someone who came from out of town to Osaka to this restaurant. You can't make reservations, so it's best to go early and avoid the long lines that can form outside the shop, especially during this time of the year! They issue a waiting ticket at the entrance, and you have to wait to be called inside. The staff will only call out inside the shop, so make sure to be close enough to hear them. There are two-person seats available, so even if there are many people waiting, the order may change between groups, so be careful! Just for reference, I got my waiting ticket around 7 pm on a Saturday night and was about 48th in line. I was seated at a two-person table in about an hour. We ordered using a touch panel, and the food arrived at our table on a train-like conveyor belt (similar to a revolving sushi restaurant). Since the orders all come at once, if you order similar items, it can turn into a fun guessing game! We managed to correctly guess what each of us had ordered and enjoyed about 20 skewers together. We took a break with the speedy kimchi dish in between. The cabbage, which used to be free, is now charged for due to food waste concerns, and the dipping sauce has changed to a self-serve style. Despite these changes, the skewers were delicious and it was a great experience to enjoy them after a long time. The entrance and exit are separated, so we smoothly left without going against the flow of people. Oh, and they have free stickers at the cash register, so if you are visiting as a tourist, why not take one home as a souvenir? (laughs)

Nowadays, there are many Kushikatsu Daruma restaurants, including the one in Shinsaibashi. Compared to the past, the skewers seem smaller and the prices have gone up, which is understandable. However, it's disappointing when they are not crispy enough after frying. Also, I wish they would improve the quality of the beer cups. I wonder if you can still enjoy delicious Kushikatsu at the restaurant in Shinsekai.

I don't really like the style of entering the restaurant at 9:30 PM and ordering individually by scanning a QR code on your phone. The last skewered cutlet was too heavy on the stomach for me, so I couldn't eat much, but my friend was eating a lot, haha. I just had one original skewered cutlet and kept drinking alcohol until we left. Thank you for the meal!

"Daruma" is a restaurant that I believe would be delicious no matter which branch you visit (I'm a big fan!). However, this time we were a large group and ended up ordering a set menu instead of individual items. When all the dishes arrived at once, it was a bit overwhelming. As someone who loves dining alone, I prefer to order a few skewers (3-4) at a time and enjoy them hot.

One of Osaka's specialties is kushikatsu, and Daruma is a very famous restaurant among the many kushikatsu shops. This is their store in Shinsaibashi. It's crowded with customers on weekday nights. After the initial order, you use a touch panel to place your order. I focused on seafood and vegetable kushikatsu, and had makgeolli to drink. I ordered items like eggplant, shiitake mushrooms, yam, and shishito peppers one after another. The mini car carrying the kushikatsu automatically comes to your table. It's all automated until the food is served! And of course, when you think of Daruma, you think of kushikatsu with red pickled ginger. I ordered it this time as well! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

On this day, I decided to have a light lunch and visited Daruma-san, a nearby restaurant. I had visited Daruma-san in Hozoji Temple before and my evaluation was that the kushikatsu tasted like an American dog, and the sauce seemed to be reused too much, making it barely edible and overall terrible, so I thought I would never go there again. One day, I received a takeout souvenir and when I ate it, the batter was thin and delicious, so I decided that it must have been the fault of that particular store. Then, I visited this store on Shinsaibashi-suji. Of course, it was not at all like an American dog, and now they serve the sauce separately due to the influence of the coronavirus. What's more, I loved that they transport the kushikatsu on a train (^^) *I tend to be delighted when childish things are done to me (laughs) I enjoyed several kushikatsu skewers according to my appetite, and I think I will come back again for sure (^^)

Tonight, I had dinner here. When in Osaka, you have to try kushikatsu. I tried to find another good kushikatsu place, but because of the Obon holiday, I had to settle for this place near my home. I ordered... beef tongue, scallops, smelt, lotus root, onion, squid, shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, bamboo shoots, cheese, fish cake, pike conger eel, garlic, chicken meatball, chicken skin, quail eggs, pickled ginger, yam, octopus, spicy cod roe, okra, pork kushikatsu, asparagus, and sausage. Everything was freshly fried, and everyone enjoyed eating and drinking. It was a great meal.

Ikeda to Sakai Minami Ward to Nagai... I returned home after 7:30 PM. Today, I don't have a night shift (//∇//) The night shift team gave me a day off considering my health. So what was the point of working 5 consecutive shifts before this? (laughs) So, shall we go out for breakfast to dinner, my dear? Wife: Let's go... Thank you for the meal. Yes, at the xxxku household, the one who invites pays (・Д・) So, what do you want to eat in the evening? I haven't decided yet... How about the basement of Shinsaibashi PARCO? Wife: Sure. We met up there and wandered around... The result was not very appealing, it seems (laughs). We wandered above ground... And we ended up at... Kushi Katsu Daruma Shinsaibashi store (//∇//) I have visited once before, but this is my first post with my current account. Here, kushi katsu flows like a conveyor belt, similar to a revolving sushi system. It's a shop aimed at inbound tourists and young people (o^^o) Upon entering, we were guided to the second floor. The designated spot... a cramped table for two (//∇//) Ordered through a touch panel. ■ Lemon Chuhai x2 ■ ◯◯◯ set with doteyaki Shortly after, the Lemon Chuhai arrived. Cheers... it goes down smoothly after a long shift (//∇//) Then, the doteyaki came flowing down the lane. I wanted to sprinkle a lot of shichimi, but my wife doesn't like spicy, so we had it as is. It was okay, not great nor bad doteyaki. The ◯◯◯ set never arrived. Both my wife and I were more irritated than ever (laughs) Ordered additional selected kushi katsu (o^^o) Finally, the set arrived. Unlike at a face-to-face kushi katsu restaurant where they explain the cuts, here they come without any explanation! It's like playing Russian roulette (//∇//) While eating, I could kind of tell the cuts, but I won't mention them here on purpose (laughs) The next day, my wife complained, "Was Daruma not good?" You were the one who chose it (//∇//) Thank you for the meal.
